I think its regional meaning as opposed to the Jock version adds "ownership" in that form.

(Even expecting a probable decent eventual result) I hope we do have a couple of more games like this before the end of the season - it might wake people up that as it stands, we still have a shit squad and will be extremely lucky imo to stay up next year. As long as shit like Ameobi and Pancrate are considered fringe first teamers, there remains no hope. I'd also state that a team selection which screams of a lazy, token effort with gaining promotion at home seen as a plan B/preferable option, is indicative of the usual contempt for fans who go to away games.

I saw him on SSN earlier and I have to say I got the impression he'll quit at the end of the season - a lot of stuff about how far he'd taken the club and whether it could go further.

I think it was internal Tory party polling in the wake of the riots rather than the riots themselves that convinced them to drop it. It should also be noted that that's when they increased VAT to 17.5% as a temporary measure to produce a "one off" reduction of £150 (which would incidentally mean most people would be worse off over a year). It sounds fair in principal but the sudden shift from rich to poor was a bit too instant imo - personally I'd support a local income tax - though I think the argument that house value was an unfair measure of wealth was bollocks - they always used to use the example of someone who'd inherited a house but who wasn't well off work wise - well sell the fucker then.

Has the cunt been looking in the mirror again? How would any time wasted by the police on trivial complaints (which have always been a part of their job anyway) compare with the time they waste on the "war" on drugs which he and his paper supports to the hilt?
-
The Scouse Cunts in their heyday, Man Utd and at International the Germans have all absolutely thrived on other people's hatred. I think the English national team have been pretty much a failure in my lifetime because of their inability to do the same.

An entertainingly insane fuckwit on Fox News - his latest classic was to proclaim that anyone who talked about "Social Justice" was either a Stalinist or a Nazi.
-
littlejohn To be fair, despite the insanity I do recognise some salient points in the fact that there has been a failure to tackle the underclass. However a non-recognition that it was created by Thatcher makes it hard to take seriously. I've always thought that what I've always called the "generations of scum" (though mostly through no fault of their own) problem to be one I have no real idea how to solve and I don't think anyone else, least of all the Tories, has either.

My pyramid of hatred has always gone SAFC/MUFC-LFC/SWFC-THFC-NFFC - Forest have always had their place because of what I described in the thread the other week about the 95/96 season which is why I was quite pleased we beat the scabby cunts more than any notion of gaining pointless promotion. That forum post is an example of something I've begun to relish - I like the fact that minor cunts all over the country now seem to hate us - it gives me a warm feeling inside.

^ Glenn Beck or Richard Littlejohn? - I find it hard to tell them apart.

It's about 780 miles I think - you could do it in a day (traffic permitting) but you'd need two drivers imo.

The thing is Ellliot was what I call a "footballer" - the way he addressed the ball (using a golfing tem) for me showed he had talent beyond people simply making a living out of the game - see Scott Sellars for another example and also why I'd choose Peacock over Guttierez.

No thinking involved whatsoever - all Keegan's players.

Yeah any system where control over kids is entrusted with an organisation is vulnerable to bad apples. I think the CC deserves the abuse because of their supposed moral superiority.
-
The thing is all of these scandals are breaking in the first world where the media, the internet and "decent" justice systems are all doing their best (though could do a lot better for example prosecuting the Irish bishops). My sympathy is for the thousands who will being abused in the third world with impunity - probably for decades to come. I would have a lot of problems with the Catholic Church even if not one person had ever been touched - however this issue is almost a "magic bullet" in what I hope will be its downfall - though obviously that doesn't mean I'm glad people were abused.
-
In 2001 he insisted every case was passed to him - imo that makes him repsonsible for any cover up since that date. They've just changed the law to prevent "frivolous" prosecutions for prosecutions brought by members of the public against foreign vistotors - I'd love to force the CPS to tale a look at his personal involvement before he arrives in September.

It was as simple that a deal was done with the Germans to make sure they voted for England for Euro 96 - England trying to get the 2006 was a renege on that deal.
-
I think the government got it wrong when it starting passing extra offences post 2001 to somehow empahsise religious hatred. I think within law there's always been a clear difference between "Christians/Hindus/Jews/Muslims are idiots for believeing nonsense" and "Christians/etc should be killed and I encourage it".

Hebburn is pretty much on the Tyne though. And South Shields is further North than most of Newcastle.
-
I know we've disagreed about this in the past Stevie, but you need to accept that a lot of South Tynesiders feel that the Tyne part of that epithet counts for a lot in terms of their identity. It's not universal - I've never claimed that - but to suggest that South Tynesiders "naturally" feel aligned to Sunderland is insulting to a lot of people whether they actually follow NUFC or even have no interest in Football. I'd also add that there are vast tracts of Newcastle and North Tyneside which are far bigger shitholes and more scum ridden than most of ST.
-
It's a while since I've been through it but you should be aware that Heburn is pretty much comprised of an "old" town which is a bit rough and a new bit (mainly residential) which in relative terms is quite respectable.
-
I honestly think that's why Labour are doing so "well" in the polls compared to what would seem sensible. I think the idea that any cuts should be postponed until there's some decent growth is pretty sensible and the Tory "cut it now" stance is being seen as dodgy.
-
Exactly - they should have settled their differences by some kind of naked race. I have to say I dont see tall this as an end of the world thing - the fucker will probably be locked up next month anyway and I think Hall/Williamson are more than adequate replacements for Taylor.
-
I meant generally - I see world cups as an excuse to be more of a non-NUFC only fan than usual.
