  1. I agree on that point - so why doesn't nobody ever mention the people who are doing fine and then find themselves out of work in a recession - as I said how long is it before they count as "scum" and have to give up their benefits? The generations of scroungers is an issue which needs to be addressed but scapegoating everyone isn't the answer.
  2. The drop off in Labour support is almost all down to their new stance on cuts - folk are very fucking daft.
  3. This is where the Tories laugh their cocks off at how fucking stupid people are in this country. It looks like you've all bought into the idea that EVERY benefit claimant has never worked - scapegoating at its very best. How long should a family where the bread winners get after losing their jobs before they get purged? - 3 months, 6 months a year? Should they have to give up their possessions as soon as the p45 hits the mat? Unless you can give me some figures that show that the majority of benefit claimants, whether affected by this or not, have never worked or been in the same situation for years then I sincerely hope you never have to face it yourselves. Of course everyone knows the family who've never worked who has a house full of plasmas - I'm not saying they don't exist but do you really think its a fucking doddle? BTW 26k does sound a lot and instinctively I'd agree its too much but if you include housing benefit in the South East I'd imagine it leaves precious little once everything else is taken into account - why do you think they can't fill jobs for that amount? The saving from this is supposedly 270m - four and half new fucking royal yachts and about 10% of what most individual banks will be paying in bonuses - but the cunts have got you hating the scoungers - as I said laughing their cocks off.
  4. In fairness Labour tried the "we wouldnt cut that" line for the last 18 months and the general public, while watching the rest of the world collapse, didnt buy it. As much as nobody likes it, the majority still accept this sort of thing has to be done. Of course the Labour big wigs now realise this but unfortunately it is all too late to save Ed or for that matter balls imo. When parties have been in a while in takes them a long time to really accept loss of office. The first few years are always a put out sort of huff. No way were Labour ever likely to recover quickly and they should have played the long game instead. The problem they now have is how they swap Millibands, tactfully. Anyway, nice to hear from you again. Have you been to see the Iron Lady yet? the austerity shit is destroying europe which is holding the uk back further - it's a disaster. you're probably right on the mourning period but at the very least they should be standing up for those being shit on by the cunts. there will be enough attempted rewrites of history when the bitch dies - I don't see the point in a preview.
  5. As is retaining possession, winning a header or passing to a teammate. Staying onside, hitting the target or battling for a ball. I still don't get the mild affection people hold for this bloke - he's fucking shit and one half decent game once every 3 months should not merit a career. I've said before it's completely telling that the only good manager we've had in recent history saw straight through him and attempted to ship him out. I read someone on N-O saying that this run of games was the time for him to step up both for his own benefit and that of the club - surprise, surprise he's failed miserably.
  6. Up until yesterday I think we'd got away with Williamson coming back. I hope the result at least stengthens the will to get someone in.
  7. Accepting the cuts with a whimper means there's no point to being opposition imo - there is a lot of anger out there which will build as more things close so not at least showing empathy is madness. Two things are needed - a new leader and a law that anyone like CT who thinks the current mess was wholly down to the last government should be banned from voting (or just shot).
  8. Well the good news is that Senegal are fucking shit.
  9. The problem is we should have been out of sight by half-time - this is down to playing with no strikers.
  10. Typical "balancing the scales|" bottleless cunt.
  11. One of the definitions of a footballer in my book is one who would have stayed up there - the cheating cunt was looking for a red card before he even went for the ball on the half way line. Still a bit lucky to get away with it. Fucking good job we've got something to show for the domination.
  12. Despite everything else, Ashley is the only major shareholder who hasn't pocketed any cash. Is it really beyond people to understand the idea of overall net outlay? Of course any of us would see a windfall as a chance to splash out but that's why none of us are rich. Also it would be pointless from his viewpoint to spend that money if six months later he had to chuck the same in to cover losses. Again that's not a fans view but its reality.
  13. Spurs, Arsenal and Liverpool all now have much larger turnovers than us. That makes us about seventh at present.
  14. I don't see what's wrong with continuing to despise the regime and accept that there's no real prospect of long term success while taking simple pleasure in how the team is doing. I honestly think Leazes thinks that relishing the current position equates to being an Ashley fan.
  15. Towards the end of that clip he passes it to Best for him to go 1-on-1 with Kenny. Best doesn't even get remotely near shooting on goal. If that had been Ba you're looking at a goal. We need another striker desperately. The thing about getting footballers into the team is that it will show up the dross even more. I hate seeing nice, subtle play which should produce the goods hit the fucking brick wall that is either of the two useless cunts we had up front on Sunday. I just hope he's still being picked when we get Ba back.
  16. Redknapp talking as if he wasn't a complete tart of a player
  17. I usually don't mind Wilkins but he must know you can get up on adrenilin before realising you're hurt. Hopeful Derry will walk now though.
  18. A lot of Wenger's early success was built on the money they got for Petit and Overmars. It's interresting that LM derides the "live within your means" view but I thought that's what we did pretty much until about 2003. It was only when Shepherd started spending through credit that I think it got dodgy.
  19. I'd also say that if LM insists being half decent at the moment is due to a fluky management appointment which is fair comment, I'd say the previous regime only progressed when they fluked two good managers and their response to adversity under shit managers they appointed took us backwards massively.
  20. Sick as fuck - literally and figuratively - been off for two days with a horrendous case of food poisoning - vomited the way though Monday night and spent last night and today shiiting what feels like sulphiric acid - my poor arse. Absolutely starving but afraid to eat.
  21. Slight digression but I've also always wanted to ask a Tory revisionist (not KCG obviously) what particular piece of legislation passed by Labour "opened the flood gates" for immigration because I think it's bullshit. All of the Eastern Europeans given as one example are a result of the Maastricht treaty as far as I'm aware signed by you know who.
  22. Just done an instinctive run though and came to another 28 so went 61. Don't think we'll lose at home but will probably lose at Arsenal, Spurs and Chelsea. a few draws chucked in.
  23. Sky pulled the line shit with me a couple of years ago. The connection to my upstairs box had become loose which to me was a good enough reason but not to them. Ended up sticking it out and did without them for a few weeks then they backed down.
  24. Might have already been said but if there's truth in the story that they've agreed he doesn't want to play on the wing then maybe they should revisit that conversation. It would solve two problems - getting him games and preventing Obertan from playing.
