I can see how a footballer would be daft enough to get carried away with wanting to ingratiate themselves with fans and it going as far as the salute without thinking what it means - a lot of them are that stupid. However having the tattoo and speaking of his admiration for Mussolini is harder to ignore.

Someone would have to explain to him that he wouldn't be able to sponge off his rich wife which is how he has lived all of his married life. I think the worst "victory" they have secured is to completely remove the idea that people pay for any benefits they receive through their taxes and NIC paid - the idea that anyone on benefits receives what amounts to charity from those in work is a lie that should be nailed once and for all.

The timing is a pisser as they were heding down until this. Even someone as shit as Hughes will probably get enough of a reaction to keep them up. It's funny that after the "mag twat" that getting someone who supposedly "supported" them seemed ideal especially given his so called pedigree. I've always said I admired O'Neill for how he coped with his wife's illness but apart from that I've always thought he was a limited manager and a football murderer. I think times have moved on and the funniest part was how similar his reign was to his time at Villa which their fans warned the mackems about but were roundly ignored.

Every time Marveaux has played against a good team we've been slaughtered.

The January additions have made a difference when we play other shite but have made virtually no difference against good teams and the away performances have been poor. As I keep saying anyone who expects easy points in any remaining away game and is relying on beating Fulham is complacent. I think we'll survive but by less than six points.

Couldn't get it out of my head that today wasn't Saturday - got my new TV delivered and set it up for streaming and settled down to watch the match before I realised I was an idiot.

Life of Pi - okay but ending was a bit too happy (Yes I know it was obvious from the start he survived). I don't know where I got the idea from but I thought the tiger started talking and I kept waiting for that to happen Also just to add if Depardieu thinks 30 seconds of "work" justifies his tax stance he can fuck right off.

£41 per month. Its probably not worth it most of the time as it sits on wifi at home and at work (via their hookup with BT) but it was more about getting the phone as I needed it to run a home automation/universal remote app.

I have 4g with 3gb on EE.

I think he's referring to when he was first diagnosed he went down an alternative therapy route before going back to science possibly too late. Might not have made any difference. He was certainly a techy very early on - see the Xerox stuff - which I think makes people think he drove Apple technically later.

Pesumably to distance himself from the 2015 defeat to return for 2020.

I got an S3 in january and I think its easily the best phone I've used or handled.

Fraser Forster or The Scottish Football Thread.

They wouldn't be able to cope with 3k allocations at the start - every game would see as many as came for the testimonials/tournaments turning up. -
Yes I've read that but im unsure about trying as I really don't like that "Office" type format.

I tried louie and parks and recreation yesterday and switched them both off after ten minutes. I should really start catching up on new stuff but when I sit down at night and see something like Dark Angel repeats I just settle for that.

I don't know if you remember since I don't know how old you are but two NE Tory MPs (Fabricant and Merchant) did a thing a few years ago where they spent a couple of weeks on the dole. Even knowing it was a fixed period with a return to luxury guaranteed it completely shocked them and unless they were the best actors ever affected them deeply. I think all MPs of all parties should try it - the fuckers get enough holidays so time isn't an issue. I'd love to see CT try it as well but that's by the by.

Schemes like this can work if ran "honestly" as opposed to Tesco taking someone for nowt and at the end of their time just getting another one. I've mentioned on here before I went to university but fucked up and didn't get a degree. This resulted in me being on the dole for about 15 months before I accepted a place on what was then called the JTS - this was dole + a tenner a week to cover travel and expenses. I ended up geting a place with a small software company in Gosforth where the owner saw the scheme as a chance to "test" potential without any risk and I'd been there six weeks when he offered me a job - the salary wasn't great but it was a start. He continued to use the scheme as the business expanded and a few duffers aside, he always gave jobs to those who proved themselves. I was with the company for nine years before moving south and I'm still in touch with a few of the people I worked there who've had successful careers based on it - a couple more so than me. The problem I see is that for the numbers now desperate for work and more cynical employers (including cunts like Tesco) about cases like mine will be the exception which unfortunately does take it back to being a Tory favour to business and a figure fiddler. I understand that people who've been on the dole even for a few months might get into a rut and need a kick up the arse but that kick should be one of encouragement and not one of threat.

Seething. I ordered a new tv on the entire basis of a saturday delivery and on phoning to check an aspect of the order they mentioned it was to be delivered on Monday. Twats. Ive had to cancel it and will now try and find an alternative if they refund my money promptly.

And of course by many leading economic experts, global bodies and something that has worked in the US.

Just one point from yesterday. Osbourne repsonded to claims that the debt had gone up by saying it was fairer to measure it as a percentage of GDP which has gone down. Fair enough but under Major/Lamont by the same measure the national debt was twice as much as it has ever been under Labour - just a thought for CT and his "prudent" Tories.

RIP His books got a bit patchy after a good starting few but there were still some gems.

They would surely have got tax credits anyway so will be no better off.
-
I find it sickening that anyone earns that in the first place. If any business pays people that I'd rather see them fold. I know its a new concept CT but when they trot out how much better off YOU are why don't you think about other people who are being screwed.

Sack the linesman then.

There were a couple of comments on the Guardian article yesterday which were removed which could have been written by Stevie or indeed me pointing out that loads of "leg breakers" just happened to be scousers - I suppose that does include Nolan but I don't think he's got the form of a McMahon or a Tommy Smith.
