Probably true for music but for video I have the lounge, bedrooms and computer room all accessing the same content. For a "proper" viewing I do settle down as you say but like to be able to press one button to lower blinds, switch off lights and set things away. I completely accept the techie challenge angle of course.

The complexities of the rebels being Jihadists and having used Sarin themselves would have been twisty for him (as it is for everyone tbf).

Gigabit based home network with NAS storage and various media players/ client PCs Also X10 based automation and universal control.

I could write a huge book detailing what time and money I've spent over the past few years simply trying to make music and video available throughout my house - especially the lounge. I often think I could have bought the box sets and dvd s of everything I have twice over and still have money left. It has challenged the geek in me though.

A lot of wealth management firms/investment banks would return more than 9% on that much capital though I accept the asset value gain is a bonus..

Back to fucking work.

One of my guilty pleasures is Storage Hunters on Dave - sometimes they almost convince you its not staged but then it just gets that extra bit daft and spoils it.

I like him in the Kevin Smith films especially Dogma.

Watched most of the first season of Continuum while I was away - pretty decent so far though I'm not sure the time travel paradoxes are being handled well so far. It was made last year and its interesting that it refers to a "future" where every aspect of everyone's lives is monitored and the cop naivley buys the line of "keeping us honest as we have nothing to fear as there are no secrets" which sounds topically familiar.

Just got home from my week in Cyprus so I'm in that strange mood of glad to be home but still wishing I was away. I've added buying a villa there to spend the winter in to my lottery to do list - still a fantastic place.

I've said before he did the worst 2 footed tackle I've ever seen on Dumas at Highbury - yellow because of his nice rep . I also wish someone on our team had lamped the cunt for getting Robert sent off.

They should confiscate Assad and his family's assets in London - that would scare the fucker into giving up tomorrow - they should have done the same for Gadaffi and Mubarak as well.

Unfortunately City are now what I call a red shirt team and get those - the players need to learn that which with people as thick as Taylor is a non-starter.

Strange - I don't think we've done that bad but will still be happy with less than six.

Probably true - I guess I'm showing my inverted snobbery by defining the whole thing by the last night.

A good friend of mine who defines middle classness and whose upbringing proves to me I'll never be anything but working class no matter what argues that The Proms were invented to give the plebs the chance to appreciate the finer things in life. I accept that that might be their origin but now they epitomise everything I despise about the worst excesses of what passes for patriotism in this country - especially the last night with the flag waving bullshit.

Off into town for pre-holiday haircut and clothes buying - great mood.

Pisser for the bloke but acts of sheer stupidity like this (see also harassing Doreen Lawrence) are "good" things for me as they chip away at the respect the sheep have for the police and the establishement. I'd love to meet the cretin (even if it was May or Cameron) who ordered this and basically just point and laugh at them.

Reviewed the thread and I said this on page one - proving this universe is a bit of a Moebius loop (or I'm senile).

I find the idea that dreams are jumps into other versions of the multiverse to be appealing - I've had loads of dreams where I'm me but my life is different and I've been parachuted in and have to figure out the differences and who people are.

Had one the other night where I was in a bar in Germany and there was bother brewing which I defused by buying a few locals a pint - I came to pay and used a cheque drawn on a currency which wasn't Euros or Marks (maybe ECUs?) which then meant I was given a cheque as change in Euros which was when I realised it was one of my time travel dreams and this was the 70s and due to some exchange rate weirdness the change cheque was for 700m and all of this had been a scam I'd ran to get rich. However when I got back to the present I found that I was being pursued by the Germans who'd followed me and they chased me over the Tyne bridge into Gateshead. Then it shifted to me having fiddled time somehow which had made me a super hacker and I'd completely switched off the internet but this became public knowledge so everyone and his dog was chasing me like in a zombie type film, ending up on the Gateshead flyover. Then I announced I hadn't switched it off but had used every computer on the planet to apply the pre-quantum theory that given enough computational power you can predict the future and I'd emailed everyone a "fortune" based on the prediction but when I tried to read mine it was written in weird biblical/riddle like format - "the snow leopard will lie down with the lion" type stuff.

So apppointing Walter Mitty has been the utter failure we all predicted.

Just an hour and a quarter to go in my last day in the office for three weeks. I have two days training tomorrow and Wednesday then two and a half weeks off including my week in Cyprus from next Wednesday. Yipee.

I tried watching SOTD but switched it off as it reminded me of a shit sitcom - didn't bother with Hot Fuzz. I liked Paul though.

Bad news for you, excellent news for him. I think I've said before I had it when I was 32 and it was a nightmare.
