  1. My Mam used to work at the youth club who invited those Germans who ran off the cliff during bother at the top of the grotto. The bloke who organised the trip was a broken man because of it.
  2. Think I've said before I gave up my ST at the end of 08/09 - not because of relegation but after stumbling on after the Keegan fiasco, the derby 5 years ago broke something in my mind (and we didn't even lose). Of course travelling 300 miles every time was a large factor as that was becoming such a pain in the arse but I do claim an element of "high-horse" type morality in defining it as anti-Ashley. Maybe if I won the lottery and moved back to the NE the match day experience would appeal again and overall it is just laziness - I recognise what some have said about times being worse in the past and I certainly used to have the attitude that you/we/everyone should go no matter what but I think this time is different and don't blame anyone for "making a stand". Not sure it would affect the cunt even if say 10/20% of ST holders didn't bother but I can see the point of people doing something from their point of view.
  3. I know it's hard to credit him with "planning" but if the cunt sat down last summer and decided to waste two windows while attempting to deflect the flak by appointing a scapecoat it went completely to script. We shouldn't forget who the real problem is.
  4. In 92 they got a couple of thousand more than their average that year whereas Liverpool got 20k less than theirs but because the mackems got less than the scousers they still squealed like pigs.
  5. The difference that Poyet and that bloke at Southampton have made to poor/average teams shows me that no matter what the regime is, a decent coach with a few ideas can have a huge effect. Of course I don't trust the present shower to be able to identify/appoint a decent coach but I think we are in danger of being too negative with the "it might as well be Pardew" line. At this point, apart from Kinnear, I don't think we could actually get someone worse.
  6. I think you admire the stats that suggest he isn't that bad rather than the bloke himself to be fair.
  7. It's not the first time Tom - all of his good results have been "against the odds" eg Chelsea etc - with one or two rare exceptions we've always failed to beat any team that we really should when it was most needed.
  8. And worse than that his post match comments suggest that losing one player has "forced" him to abandon any pretence of trying to play football for the rest of this (pointless) season.
  9. I remember suggesting (seriously) that Kinnear should have been sacked for being the first manager to lose at their place in 28 years. There's no way on earth I would have imagined losing three in a row so badly to them. I take on board a lot of the stuff HF says when defending Pardew and maybe this takes me down to their "obsessed" level but I think being the first manager to achieve this feat ever (since in the 1920s they didn't have managers) should be enough for the cunt to be sacked. Of course there are bigger problems at the club but shit like this has to be addressed.
  10. If he doesn't sharpen up and realise how much time you get in this league he'll fail spectacularly.
  11. Santon should never play for us again for his "efforts" to stop that goal.
  12. BTW if anything comes from the fans on the pitch the club should get their hands on the footage from any and every game we've played at their place since it was built and ask for the same penalty to be applied for each incursion.
  13. Quick look at the table sees them 13 points behind us - I reckon NETD is theirs for the taking. I know there's been many many occasions when this could have been said but if Pardew had any pride whatsoever he's resign. I'ts five years to the day since my last game which was watching two shit NUFC/SAFC teams play a diabolical 1-1 draw. There has been absolutely no change from our point of view.
  14. Cheat endorsing cunts.
  15. Been meaning to update this thread - last weekend I booked a week in Barbados for the last week in March.
  16. Which only "makes sense" if you never move once you do buy as even with equity the house you want may be out of reach due to said price inflation. One of the benefits of 100% inheritance tax would be an ending of the over-desired need to leave a legacy which leads to over-stretching/inflation. I know limiting inheritance goes against a lot of people's instincts but why didn't it bother previous generations and why doesn't it bother other the cultures mentioned where house ownership isn't as prevalent?
  17. Unlucky really - cunt of a ref and I hope that Johnson gets crippled for life.
  18. Somebody need to tell Ekoku that Norwich look shit because they are fucking shit. Also Foy is letting them get away with a shit load of niggly fouls.
  19. So there are now hundredd of thousands in such a crisis? Coincidence?
  20. It's not the mispricing its the desperation to save pennies thats the point. Just like the food banks you simply have no concept of what people are being forced to exist on. As for the jobs if it's all along the lines of subway which is the headline today then its just more minimum wage shite.
  21. If there's four blokes ahead of him why aren't we looking at them?
  22. More and more people are that desperate as a result of attacks on their incomes - a simple concept for the non-imbecile.
