It seems strange that the response at the Cardiff game did look more "universal" than today - I can't imagine vast tracts of those in May have been replaced by dead souls - maybe there's an apathetic acceptance factor influenced by early season hope rather than the review mode of an end of season game. I still think two bummings and an inevitable cup exit will increase the pressure for the Leicester game which is followed by the scouse cunts who will inflict the first home twatting.

I normally shop on a daily/two day basis at the co-op at the top of my street but the next nearest one is an Aldi. I had to drop my car off yesterday to get something minor fixed and so walked back from the dealers and decided to go to the the Aldi just out of interest. I hadn't realised it was so brandless - I thought it was just "normal" stuff cheaper but they obviously source everything from alternatives. It seemed like good value - I spent about £12 on stuff I'd guess would be a few quid more at the co-op but I've realised some of the altenatives like yoghurts are pretty bland. However I did get some chicken which was decent so maybe their meat section is okay.

I think the health stuff is a good start but it just needs a bit more -possibly more control of the phone etc.

I've worn a watch since I was about 8 and due to a bit of a rash this last week, I've only been able to put it back on this morning and its a great relief. I went to a game at the giants stadium when I was there in 98. The crowd was quite small but it was entertaining/interesting. The football was a bit like women's in that there were virtually no tackles of note. I remember listening in on two lads talking about the upcoming WC and one just refused to accept how big an event it was/is. To be fair his mate did get it.

A few years ago a boss of mine had tonsillitis and couldn't talk which coincided with a big works night out so she took a notepad out to converse with. Problem was her handwriting was shit and got worse as alcohol took effect so everyone decided to interpret her notes as the most obscene and offensive missives as possible. It made for a great night out - childish but funny (she took it all in good humour).

I may be too much of a cynic if that's possible - I saw the report on .com about Tiote being fit for the Ivory Coast game and assumed there was still a couple of days left in the Russian transfer window but I've checked it and it is in fact closed.

Its worth restating that finishing 5th was a perfect storm of Chelsea and Liverpool's meltdowns and Cisse's hot streak and very little to do with Pardew. Of course these things are part of football but as HF states if you look at his general performance over time the 5th is a spectacular anomaly.

It was worse than that - we played well at Norwich using Sissoko as a sort of Cabaye but when Remy was sent off and he was "forced" to play Shola in the derby it all went pear-shaped and despite that being worse than dogshit on every level, even when Remy returned he never tried the football again. If the two performamces at Norwich and the derby had been reversed it would be understandable - the fact that they weren't is ample proof of his ineptitude.
