    Noticed the Sky commentator calling it a "rollercoaster" year - cunt should be asked to explain how one victory over Chelsea and maybe an ultimately pointless win at Man City represent peaks anywhere near an equal number of troughs - it would be a pretty shit rollercoster. It's a pretty forlorn hope he fucks off but a shitty little manager for a shitty little club comes to mind.

    Since I've worked in the city I've always been in two minds as to whether its worth working over Xmas/NY - if there are no problems it's nice and quiet and almost civilised commuting but if the inevitible engineering works run on its a disaster. 7 or 8 years ago they closed Liverpool St for the entire period for a complete refit so I took the whole lot off only for the works to overrun which meant a week of absolute chaos with everybody back.

    The phrase that bugged me was when he said he would have to live with it (losing 4 in a row) - no cuntface - in a couple of years or hopefully a lot sooner you'll fuck off back to your cockney shithole and will be able to forget it as nobody will ever mention it to you again. We on the other hand DO have to live with it forever.

    I was going to just vent but being sensible I thought the ref got it wrong early on. They made three tackles in the first ten minutes he let go without a card which were just as bad as the ones he started booking our players for but that left him fucked after that. I think Brown at least and possibly Colo could have walked if he'd been consistent. When the monkey's heed was in charge there was a period where they outfought us and probably deserved the 2-1s but we overcame that by out footballing them for a run of games. The prick obviously thought he could regain dominance by going for the fight model rather than the football angle and it backfired. He then blames the players for applying what were obviously his instructions. He does really need to fuck off.

    Well I've just had my "annual" performance review which I had to have despite only have joined in October as it's needed for bonus/salary determination. I'd realised that even before leaving my previous job that I'd been stuck in a rut being happy to perform just well enough to get by so I'd approached the first few months of the new job from the POV of gradually clawing my way back up to somewhere decent without going too fast which is what I'd thought I'd done. Turns out I've impressed the fuck out of my new boss and he offered me a step up to being a team leader with the chance to grow my own team. I have till the new year to think about it. Fuck knows where I'd be if I actually worked hard and gave a fuck about these things.

    Got an email off my mate confirming ticket for the derby so I've just booked the train for Saturday/Sunday with a nice visit to my sister included. First time in the NE since Feb 2009 - should be fun (90 mins aside).

    I caught a bit of an an Animal Cops show yesterday where they castrated a tiger which had been resued from being a pet in Texas before it went to a sanctuary. They described how it would lose some of its fercoity and agression but it would at least have the "companionship" of its female cage mate. I imagined it hearing/understanding this and saying "just kill me now".

I also hate the way Aresenal are described as if they are good - the cunts had the same number of points as us brfore the game FFS. Welbeck - two deliberate handballs (one in the box) and two blatant dives - cunt. Alexis - 5 blatant dives and 4 yellow card gestures - cunt. Niall Quinn - how is Dummet's challenge a clear foul but Gibbs on Janmaat is a good challenge - cunt. Arsenal fans - cunts.

    Not exactly a pretentious phrase in itself but I hate "we lost 1-3" instead of "3-1". It's relatively new and bollocks.

    I've said before I know or knew a few daft lads. I remember a derby a few years ago (maybe the 2-0 when Bellamy scored early) bumping into a lad we knew. He didn't have a ticket and had even had a polite warning from the coppers not to bother. Anyway he was on the phone to the mackem top lads constantly trying to arrange a "meeting". I don't think whether its a bubble match or whether there's an escort has ever mattered to lads like these. What I'd be worried about if I was the coppers is randoms like the horse puncher. Having said that I'd guess he'd be one of those who's happy to act hard behind police lines and won't be so game in a free for all. I'm not saying there won't be bother but id be surprised if it was major. Of course it may depend on the result like last year (imo).
