It gets me when I'm flicking through the channels and see that Andre Rieu in concert and I see people my age lapping it up. Maybe I'm strange and not accepting maturity by still going to see placebo or the Manics but what kind of life do these people live that sees them dressed up and going to see classical music? Nowt wrong with the music in itself but embracing it like that seems very old fashioned to me.

Yeah but you're still not actually in Asia.

Hand of Allah.

Yorkshire cunts booing as if they've been hard done by as well. Shit game, good goal.

What's the crack with your job Stevie? Seems like you're not up to it and won't be for a while - do you get paid or anything? I know it should be the least of your worries but it scared me last year when I was out of work how much something serious would screw me finance wise. I'd be alright on that score now but it's certainly a concern for the future.

It's the CT poverty argument amplified by him being rich.

Season Ticket Renewal/Apathy - £25 Half Season tickets
NJS replied to Tooj's topic in Newcastle Forum
Away tickets via the points system is the only "valid" reason I'd recognise. -
Problem is I can see a Roeder repeat if he does "well". I'd much rather they continued to look/negotiate in the background if necessary and get a pre-agreement with someone.

Judging by the West Wing, it takes stupidly complex rules about length of reply and follow-up questions to get them to behave remotely like adults. I think q&a sessions on an individual basis withe deliberately chosen antagonistic audiences for each leader would work better than petty point scoring akin to the Blackadder/Pitt the even younger debates.

Petty I know but I don't like him referring to Robson as the best manager ever.

Need a QI stat on how many deaths are caused like that - definitely more than terrorism. Flew back to London last night and now on my way home after night in hotel. Had a scary glimpse of the future - travelled to and from hotel on these parking POD things. Brought to mind the Simpsons monorail, johnny cabs from total recall and the tubes in futurama

I use Plex for wireless viewing and listening around the house. It runs from my NAS boxes as a proper server with Android clients. However this thread and a client update prompted me to give it a go remotely which I knew it could do but hadn't deliberately setup. It works fine which is a bit worrying as it means it automatically configured my router/firewall which I don't like. I'll have to check it out when I get home.

Well I've liked dodgy seasons of other shows so it doesn't really bother me.

I've finally made a start on Dexter while I've been away and I'm well impressed. I know its highly rated but comments about the last season not withstanding, it's certainly living up to my expectations. I've also renewed my worship of the goddess Benz. Question is of course if you could get away with it as "easily" as he does would you be tempted and would you limit your victims to killers?

Aye I don't exactly travel like a tramp myself but noticed the "1600 OFF" ☺

Especially when they revealed that the UK never had the codes to launch independently anyway. New system won't be any different - it's just cock waving. I was listening to a bit of forces radio the other day and it also struck me as to why the fuck there are still British troops in Germany - I know its all NATO bollocks but it another complete waste of money. Could say that about Cyprus as well.

I'm in Ayia Napa at the moment (yeah fuck you too) and its a lot deader than I imagined (though as pleasantly warm) and its making me think of those sci-fi stories like The Stand where the vast majority of humans die leaving everything for the survivors. I can't believe how much I'm relishing the silence here and stories like that one above make me think - not for the first time tbh - how much a super-cull of humanity would be a good thing.

I suppose you could argue that once this game is over they have a fortnight to get something going even if the players are fucking off for a week. I wouldn't mind waiting till the summer if it meant someone decent but as others have said, the huge danger is Carver will do just enough to be appointed full time.

Leicester have shown signs of life in the last few weeks.

As I said on the politics thread, if he tried to ban encryption it would be stopped by the banks at the very least. He might think he can get some easy votes by threatening WhatsApp etc but beyond that it would it would make the UK a pariah for businesses worldwide.

My understanding of the image thing was it was specifically invented to stop inappropriate representations. In other words they invented the rule so they could punish the act the rule was designed for. I suppose its like Christians objecting to the Bjorn Borg-esque depictions of Christ on the basis of him being Semitic but the churches have always been happy for Europeans to project themselves onto JC.
-
The idiotic PM is having the piss roundly taken out of him for his nonsense about "no conversation between two people can be allowed to be private" which would mean encryption being banned. Thankfully as soon as banks realise what he's saying he'll be told to drop it like the good little poodle he is.

It must really annoy the cunts when their private is always better than public mantra fails - see also great eastern

I remember a Doctor Who from probably the Peter Davison era where he visited a planet where the president had to explain his major decisions on TV and the people registered disagreement by pressing a button which gave him an electric shock proportional to the degree of disapproval. It seemed like a good idea at the time - probably because it would have been Thatcher if applied in the UK.

Pardew gave Carver a job as a link to the region - he admitted that on a few occasions so the fact he didn't want to take him to palace tells me all I need to know about his coaching ability.
