    Rugby

Lad at work who's South African is travelling to SJP for the game with his Dad who's coming over for it. I used to know a lad who played for the third or fourth team at Westoe rugby club - I don't know what league they play in or where that is in the scheme of things but he told me he was expected to call first teamers "Sir" if they spoke to him. Fuck that shit and the Tory cunts who ride in it. Should also mention we had some bloke in at work a few weeks ago who was a motivational coach for the all blacks who he described as the most successful team in sporting history. He didn't seem to like my question about how a team dominating a sport played in 20 countries only 6 of which are any good constitutes success.
  2. I was a fan as a kid first remembering early-ish Jon Pertwee through Tom Baker but not much after. I used to collect the novelizations and the thing is looking back my imagination made them a lot better than the reality. I still catch a few on the Horror channel and they are very ropey to say the least. I can take or leave the new ones - I really liked Eccleston and Piper but not so much the rest.
  3. Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't you once say you'd use homeopathy on your eczema or am I thinking of someone else? Not a defendant by the way - I think it's criminal fraud but as KCG said I think signing that EDM is a pretty minor crime. Something like Blair's religion is a much bigger issue for me.

    Gigs 2025

Or a hologram of Whitney Houston - on the bright side it doesn't need a bath.

    Deep thoughts

I'm not scared of what's beyond as I'm pretty sure its nowt but I do get a sense of time running out. I've had a canny life so far with not too many regrets but going by family history and probably even an improved lifestyle I'll only have another 20 years or so disregarding any outside forces. Sometimes that scares me if I'm being honest - I don't have some kind of bucket list I feel pressurised to complete but I would like an extension based on a reasonable level of physical and mental health.
  6. Interstellar. I like sci-fi with an ambitious amount of imagination and this certainly had that but I still didn't feel it did enough to satisfy. At least I suppose there's no chance of a sequel.
  7. Could also mention Cameron being a leader member of an organisation which called for Mandela to be hanged and accepting jollies to the Botha regime.
  8. I would love it he just came out and said he wouldn't sing GSTQ because its a dirge about two evil concepts.
  9. Can't stand Gerrard but I'll bet most football fans in any country Diouf's played in think he's as cunt.
  10. Nice to see Carver making a living on BEIN. The bar I'm in isn't broadcasting the sound thankfully.
  11. I always thought it was funny how given their macho image which makes so many fuckwits fans of theirs that one of them was gay. I know it wasn't exactly a secret but still.
  12. The prevailing hope is the way corbyn generated a grassroots campaign involved many non-voters - non-voters who would have absolutely no incentive to vote for the Blairite candidates in 2020.
  13. Genuine frontier jibberish is one of my stock phrases for nonsense thanks to BS.
  14. Foot's labour were way ahead in the polls before the Falkland war. Also not all marginals are like Nuneaton where a Blairite leader would admittedly have made winning more likely - for example Balls lost because of votes lost to UKIP and the greens - a galvanised labour campaign in Leeds should be able to win that seat easily.
  15. Badly written queries can run for hours, block processes and generally kill servers.
  16. A little knowledge can be dangerous though. I'm part of a data analytics broad team and the reporting team who IMO should only have access to the data via cubes and views write their own queries including on source systems rather than the warehouse and some of them are atrocious.
  17. I watched Blazing Saddles a few weeks ago - its gloriously un-pc.
  18. We do Agile in my current job - getting someone in to run it or teach it seems like a scam as its not rocket science.
  19. Back on topic I'm off to Cyprus for two weeks tonight - at work now and its dragging just a tad.
  20. Didn't see the programme but I hate the way demonstrating that you give a shit about Palestinians being shit on makes you some kind of holocaust celebrater.
  21. Being able to answer the type of questions asked as part of the certification at interviews is the benefit more than an actual line on a CV.
  22. Doing SQL certification is a good learning exercise as nobody uses the full range of features in most jobs but the actual certs themselves are generally ignored by employers.
  23. 27m extra costs mean prices need to rise but his 6.4m has no effect. I can't get my head around their average salary being 10k - how the fuck do people live on that?
  24. Might have said before but I disliked Jack because of his tenure but I don't mind him now after reading a quote that the only team that got him out of his seat when they score is NUFC. Considering he was a lifer at one club that's good crack especially compared with his completely indoctrinated Manc cunt brother.
  25. I went to a testimonial in about 75 where supermac was away with England and Charlton guested in his place.
