Well that illustrates what I think we all agree on - I think you can be "intolerant" of Islam while not having a problem with Muslims in general. That applies to all of the other religions. I think what sets it apart is even though this applies to the rest to some degree, I think Muslims see their religion as central to their identity. This can mean it can consume individuals in a bad way.

If there had never been a single terrorist incident I'd still condemn Islam both on its moral tenets and its supernatural nonsense.

The version of all religions that's described as radical or extreme just happens to be the one truest to the source. Moderate religions exist because even people who believe dilute them based on what I'd call proper human nature. Unfortunately the outliers of humanity can find plenty to hang their nut job hats on.

I liked Seinfeld but never got in to CYE - I have them all lying around but I'm not a huge fan of that uncomfortable comedy mentioned above - probably why I didn't like The Office. Having said that I tried that Catastrophe last night and will stick with it as I found it canny. I've seen quite a few Arrested Development Eps and quite enjoyed them rather than being gobsmacked.

I think when I watched Girls I asked if you were sure it was a comedy because I couldn't see how it was even played for laughs in any way. An ugly bird getting her tits out does not strike me as cutting edge feminism either.

I'd add that I don't hate Gem for the Mindy Project as I like the lass but just don't think it's that good. I do however think he should be shot with shit for recommending that Girls.

I like it but it's gone on too long now and should have been finished about 3 seasons ago. The constant repeats on e4 don't help.

My boss got the bullet this morning - supposedly because of negative relationships with business stakeholders.
