Roughly - around the Adam & Eve /Frederick St. It was where the Yemenis settled and where the mosque is (where Ali had his wedding blessed).

He lived in Laygate so not that unusual.

My first away game was boxing day 79 on the supporters club bus and I went to the rest of the away games that way for the next two and a half seasons. I met a few lads who travelled from South Shields some of who became life long mates and I also met Cliffy. We also used to get the train to the home matches before the metro started and Cliffy was always on there. The bloke didn't have that much of a life I think but it's no cliché to say he lived for NUFC and he certainly spent all his time, money and effort on making sure he made the games. He was always easy going and willing to talk to anyone about the team. Even after not travelling with him for years he always recognised me and said hello when we bumped into each other when I still went. Maybe it's a sign of me getting older as well but my first thought on reading of his death was that it's a shame he didn't see us win anything. It's also made me sit here thinking about all the years I've spent hoping we'd do it and also about all the familiar faces and friends I've met along the way. RIP Cliffy.

Who'd have thought buying good footballers would pay dividends?

Wouldn't get excited about OCS but Shed Seven and The Bluetones are both excellent live.

Was just going to post that he was great in Dogma. RIP.

Had a bad feeling when I saw it was Dean and that the currupt cunt from the derby was the 4th official which was justified. Still think there's the making of a decent team in there - need a finisher though.

I said I liked it - I just wanted more explanation - I've watched it again since.

I've always thought he was a canny player with a lot of potential but was put off by his scouseness (ie association with the club rather than upbringing) and thought we should have been in for him before now. I'm slightly put off now by the bad attitude stuff I have to say.

Bit like the Beatles to me - I recognise the stature and influence but his music did nowt for me. RIP

3 years after sandy hook he's moved to do something 10 months before he's out of there.

Or sell the unused days back to them at at excruciating rate.

Robocop seems to be the best football one.

The way I read it they invited tenders from media design companies including Newcastle uni and that was the source of the story.

I reckon it'll have a magpie on it as the cunt will have the Hull scenario in mind of having a user friendly franchisey name in case he needs one.

Might have been a suicide but anecdotally when I was about 14 a kid we used to play football with was diagnosed with stomach cancer and lined up for treatment but then just died suddenly - I think there was an element of surrendering to it which might be more of a thing if you're 70.

I've watched a few Eps of Game of Thrones over the past couple of weeks. I originally watched the first ep when it started and markedly it down as worth watching but probably on a retrospective basis. Anyway as I said I've seen bits of the third and fourth season lately and think it's okay but not life changing. I've been happy to read the imdb ep descriptions to fill in the gaps in my knowledge and though I would be happy to see the stuff I've missed I'm not going to obsess over it. What I would say is that I suppose it's brave to focus on main characters who are such unlikeable, irredeemable cunts.

I can understand people having to give into their kids but apart from that anyone who buys his tat, club related or not, should be shot.

West Bromwich Albion v Newcastle United 28/12/15 15:00 ko

What frustrates me is how in spells here and there we look like a decent team but it's all too brief. We don't create enough chances and we don't score enough goals - that's a recipe for relegation. -
Rip. One of those where I wasn't a fan of his band but appreciate his influence on others. Also another example of someone who lived to a decent age despite the abuses.

Francis and Owen. Joy.

I would love to transfer to the refs body just for enough time to send that horrible charva scouse cunt off. Don't know why they put up with his whinging game after game.

It's interesting how the whole spoiler thing has developed over the last few years. I remember when the first one came out it would have taken an extraordinary amount of effort to make it this far without knowing what happens as back then everyone was pretty open about it. Of course there was no Internet but still, papers and magazines were full of cartoonised plot descriptions. I suppose it's an indication of how serialised quality US TV shows have taken over.

He seemed to have done well last season but then they sold him out of the blue in the summer and has apparently gone to shit now.
