On that sky thing with Sue Perkins she made a good point that there was an element of clearing out the old in favour of a new generation with Ramsay, Yara and even Tommen possibly coming more to the fore.

I always excused Shearer to a certain extent as he took over a squad of non-triers and confidence shattered failures. However Benitez has shown you can turn that around a bit - experience not withstanding of course.

I don't trust Everton and Watford - we're fucked despite the upturn.

The tories looked a million miles from power in 2001 and 2005 but they came back with a non-entity of a leader because of dissatisfaction with a government so it's not a totally lost cause. I still think apart from investment in the NHS and education (too much of it via PFI) there's nothing to be proud of in what Blair achieved and the austerity lite on offer by milliband and the other leadership candidates wouldn't have been that different. When you had the shadow social security minister talking about being tougher on welfare than the tories it should hint at what was planned. Power without principle is the other side of the coin you allude to and if Corbyn and Sanders can inspire youngsters like Rayvin on both sides of the Atlantic the future could be brighter. Maybe not in 5 years but certainly long term.

Well there are no Blairite potential leaders either so in the absence of that, why not come out with policies based on principles rather than the bland failed ideas of the last two elections?

The party of Liz Kendall?

As an afterthought - considering the cunt has given two of the fuckers against us - doe's anyone know whether Dean gives pens for handball every fucking game? -
I don't think he's a strong leader but it doesn't help when he's been stabbed in the back by MPs and let down by the stupidity of allies. For the record some of what Livingstone said regarding criticism of Israel is correct and needs to be said but you don't mix fucking Hitler into a discussion about Jews.

THe Force Awakens Better than the three prequels but a bit too reverant and similar to the first one. Carrie Fisher looked disappointingly old (I know she's had a hard life) and you have to wonder how much Mark Hamill got for his "work".

Yeah - Probably just a weak moment because of the kid.

I thought Cersei's self recognition that she's a bit of a twat was good - as was "fuck everyone who isn't us".

I think the discovery and subsequent loss of Dragon glass is a plot device to suggest someone will find some and save the day.

It would be a cop-out in my view if you fill a landscape with complete cunts and then have a happy ending where the only vaguely good guys win. I'd be tempted to engineer the seemingly happy ending then let the white walkers kill 'em all.

I think the motivation to the "all the government has done" is the question. Simply stating it was in the manifesto isn't enough either - it's the why on that question. Concern over death rates doesn't cut it considering how blasé they are about benefit sanction deaths.

I still reckon if Cantona had scored Mathie's goal it would have been shown on sky every day for at least a year.

Anyone who uses "average" and "should" in a set of rules is a bit dodgy as well.

It's sad that a defence in a rape trial is still "she's a slag". They might argue they are trying to prove she's a liar but the undercurrent is still the same old victim blaming.

So it's about Saturday pay then? What's good about that is its very "practical" and avoids the politics of the whole thing which I think is a huge factor but can be left out and still present a winning case.

The Sun are using the line that the lies were police driven which is absolutely true but doesn't excuse the relish they were printed with.

The process has already started and was continued under Blair - all they have to do now is make the NHS unattractive and allow the ads which already exist which say "be seen straight away" etc free reign to go further. I don't think they'll go as far as having an Irish style GP consultation fee as that would be too obvious even for the stupidest but allowing companies to "rescue" failing hospitals the way they applied the same process to schools will be massively extended as the next step.

I'd charge BUPA and the rest for the training of any recruits including nurses and the rest. That would stop the cunts' tidy £30 a month plans.

See spurs in the cup as the perfect example where fans escaping a crush were truncheoned. One of the worst things about Hillsborough for me was watching fans running across the pitch with people on "stretchers" having to pass a line of coppers on the halfway line obviously with one eye on expecting bother.

Nobody's mentioned Jack Straw who promised a public inquiry but bottled it for fear of upsetting the police federation.

Use the power you have while you have it - nothing wrong with that. I realise they probably won't have jobs in ten years time but that's acceptable progress in my view.

The classic is the moaning that greets tube drivers strikes - "50k for that!" - well maybe if you stood together like they do instead of stabbing your colleague in the back for an extra 1% you could have that as well. "What have unions ever done? " - every single employee right you now have is down to unions, you fucking imbecile - and when you have none left it will serve you right.
