He'll probably die before finishing the whole thing and it'll be left to the TV show to conclude it. (I realise he's supposedly filled them in on his intended ending).
-
There's also the element of him working for a business which has access to kids - that alone should have seen him suspended and banned from the premises.

Belly have reformed and are announcing gigs next week. If I get tickets I'll be fucking ecstatic.

So an extra15k is enough to make his life but 40k wasn't? Cunt.

You can come to series which are older as well. I mentioned a while ago I watched the whole of Dexter last year and I'm now a approaching the end of Breaking Bad and remained unspoiled for both but was aware of a few major plot points all the way through. Obviously if people arent generally watching something then it makes it less likely to read something by accident. I think Hadynator was slightly out of order on this occasion but it's spawned a good discussion.
-
I did mention regarding downloading that I do have sky and see that as paying my dues. As it happens my viewing of GOT has been limited to the complete re-run sky did at Xmas.
-
Yeah I was going to reply to Hadynator above but couldn't workout how to do spoiler tags in tapatalk so held off. I think most "major" shows have their own threads buried somewhere but there would be no harm in having more for anything popular/decent.
-
I support spoiler tags etc but I would point out if Renton has taken the stance to not download/have sky and wait for the box set then it's going to be pretty hard for him to last that long unspoiled.

There would probably be a lot of votes in a mass house building programme for properly affordable homes but they would lose an equal number of votes from selfish "asset holders" who don't even give a shit about their kids' prospects of a home.

I passed second time but on my first I drove out of the car park to the end of the road with a T junction onto a main road and let a gap go past I should have went for. The main fail point was undue hesitancy so basically I'd failed after about 30 seconds at the first hurdle.

Anyone watch Vinyl? Bit of a mixture for me - some decent drama but a few dodgy characters and horrific English accents. I thought his wife was a twat when he went off the rails and the ending was far-fetched but there was enough promise to mean I'll probably keep watching for now.

The way the tories want to do it is evil as well - contracts with guaranteed profits with no get outs - see the Chinese Sizewell deal which puts all PFIs combined to shame.

Do you think if Milliband had won that Balls' austerity lite would have not seen further NHS reform? I don't think Blairites are full on tories when it comes to the NHS (they are on other things) but as I said the privatisation acceptance slippery slope wouldn't have been reversed. If you think an "effective" opposition has to be some kind of new labour-esque centrist party then fair enough but I don't think that would guarantee an NHS we all want. For the record I don't think Corbyn is good enough but the debate and bravery to actually think about left wing policies rather than the safe tory-lite new labour stuff is good for the party and the country as a whole. As it stands I don't think they'll win in 2020 but the European debate and the coming crash might change that.

I doin't get why blacks seem to prefer Clinton so far - especially if its by association with Obama considering she ran against him with quite a negative campaign.
-
Why would the "old" NHS not work now? I don't see why a local health authority would need to buy-in services from other areas or from the private sector if it was properly funded. This goes back to my point that they've (both Tory and NL) sold the idea that there must be room for the private sector in everything when there's no proof, especially from other "privatised" industries that the market is best.
-
The NHS did improve under New Labour and I'm not denying the money injected but the legacy of PFI is as toxic as fuck. The internal market was started by the Tories (as was PFI) but it was massively increased under Blair. If you can have a go at Hunt and the rest of the cunts for having links to private healthcare companies (pefectly justified) then I don't think you can ignore how many ex Labour ministers have eaten out of that trough as well. Of course New Labour and the remaining Blairites supported/still support the NHS at heart (though I'd doubt the likes of Kendal) whereas we know where the cunts want to go, but the shift towards acceptance of private involvment, though not started, was greatly advanced by Blair. It is this acceptance now being sold that I think is the main problem.
-
New Labour started the process of NHS privatisation.

Pissing off the doctors and causing a morale/staffing crisis is part of the plan.

The "almost 16" bullshit is out the window I see.

Buying a car is different to most things though. You wouldn't haggle over the price of a fridge for example (though I used to work with a lad who did) and I think arguing over 10 quid a month is a bit trivial (assuming we're talking about people who aren't struggling financially).
-
I think when we've discussed this before I've said that the whole age of consent is a bit strange as from a biological pov, when the body's ready it's ready and the discrepancies in the age and it's history suggest that most people accept that teenagers are always going to have a go. I think the main purpose of the law now and the reason it seems right is precisely for this situation to protect kids under 16 from inappropriate advances from older people.
-
I can understand the satisfaction of gaining a win against the man but presuming you can afford it I find people doing this to be a bit strange. You could just pay the going price for what you get. I don't think I get full value from my sky subscription but being honest I use it as an ethical crutch for the downloading I do. My view is I pay for it anyway so getting stuff early isn't a problem.

Difference between acquitted and charges dropped.
-
I know we haven't had that many ourselves but the only player they've had with the stature required for a statue is Raich Carter imo.

Presumably the denied charges will be BJ "level".
