I think he was a campaigner against psychics and other conmen so he gets points for that. On the downside I think he was in the Phil Collins camp of "if labour get in I'm emigrating".
  2. I've read that a lot of Mexican immigrants support Trump's stance on the illegals as they see it as them having played by the rules. It's not as simple as you suggest - see also Chez's posts about executive types who support him. There's also a lot of people who are strongly anti-Clinton.
  3. If it's all about leadership (which I agree with up to a point) then your problem is that all the Blairite candidates were just as unpalatable.
  4. Benitez needs to solve whatever the problem is with Tiote because if we have to rely on Anita and Colback for the rest of the season we're fucked.
  5. My very harsh and possibly racist (driven by experience) view of Hysel has always been that the criminal state of the ground aside, if the Italians had stood and fought rather than ran, there would have been a lot less injuries and deaths. Doesn't completely let the scousers off as their behaviour in Europe over the years has bordered on despicable at times but it's still my view.
  6. I was looking at them to replace my Nexus 9 but decided they were a tad pricey - I've signed up so will steam in if they don't run out. Cheers.
  7. Don't blaspheme Buffy for that shite.
  8. From his time at Liverpool, I consider him a defensively minded manager which I'd normally resist but I think timing wise it's a good thing for us now.
  9. Just regarding this head coach/manager thing - wouldn't he have been a "head coach" at Madrid and Inter?
  10. Which ones? I think the 1-3 thing just indicates your team as always being first - I suppose it's correct but still just feels wrong to me. Assists is a symptom of the over use of stats for me - I know Ozil is a bloody good player without it being numerised to the nth degree. Wide areas are just wings to me but I admit there's an element of hatred for Trevor Francis in that view as he was one of the first to popularise it.
  11. The 20 to 39 figures are from the ONS as people always reference them in reply to all the Guardian articles stating massive disparity. It's a tough one as in general having kids is "useful" to society but I think expecting to return to work hoping to be paid the same as people who may have worked hard in their absence and earned a rise is a bit unfair.
  12. "Chelski", "Manure" and "Citeh". Just fuck off an die. Also I know people on here do it and it's mainly because I'm an old cunt but "We lost 1-3" instead of 3-1- just wrong. "Assists" is another one as is "wide areas".
  13. I think at the moment we just need someone who can pick the right team and have some kind of game plan. Anything beyond that is a bonus.
  14. The second episode took some watching - fungi growing out of "living" corpses - Urgh! . Superb again.
  15. Brainwashing is more honest. As evidenced by the Irish Cardinal stating they'd failed to educate the young "properly" because they don't hate gays.
  16. The old "mutual consent" which I take to mean they agree to half the pay off of a sacking.
  17. Just watched the first episode of Hannibal. Impressed - will watch more.
  18. I'm not sure how I feel about prequels where you know how the characters end up (both at the start and at the end of BB). I probably will watch it but after watching something else first.
  19. I've seen a couple of comments saying Allardyce was hounded out - he got of very lightly compared with what he deserved imo.
  20. Clinging on to Stoke being a good performance. Different planet.
  21. Don't underestimate the difference Colback has made in the last two games. Missed his booking as well - hopefully next game to spare us from seeing him in the Derby.
  22. I finished Breaking Bad today. I'm glad I stuck with it after early doubts (I thought it was a bit slow at some points) and it certainly told the tale well to a pretty satisfactory conclusion. I don't think its quite the best TV show ever as some claim but I think its up there. Honestly speaking I preferred Dexter of the two big hitters I've watched over the last year. I think the parallels of a monster wanting to be human and almost getting there versus a decent man who sort of becomes a monster is an interesting link between the two shows. I haven't made a firm choice of what I'm going to watch next - I think I'll try Hannibal first of all as I miss the brutality of Dexter already.
  23. Because in the past, the free ones have been closed down or disappeared. Okay it looks good for now but you never know.
  24. They knew they needed points and it was going to take months due to the not guilty.
