  1. I'd appreciate your argument more Renton if you could suggest someone of any wing who would do much better. Sadly I don't see anyone right now.
  2. I've never seen any before but stumbled across it and was well impressed.
  3. The "weekend effect" which supposedly started all this shite has now been proven as bollocks. It's almost like there was another reason for it.....
  4. It's turned out to be a mistake to oppose independence but I can see why they did it - I think it was fair enough to have a vote but think Scotland is better off in the UK.
  5. You are staggeringly stupid. Rural and rich inner cities councils virtually run themselves. The social services are minimal and decisions tend to be on trivial matters of police budgets for the nonexistent crime and how much to spend on council functions. Inner city councils in deprived areas have to deal with all that comes with the problems of poverty and general lower incomes like crime, social services and welfare issues. Add in political budget setting from Whitehall and you have an even more skewed system. All of this illustrates once again your complete ignorance of the world around you.
  6. Tinder Slut 14 - hopefully the 14 is an ordinal not an age.
  7. Reading between the lines you've got to love it when someone in their 50s joins in with their son and his mates to kick the shit out of someone. Multi-generational scum.
  8. Opportunistic gouging imo. Mine was easy as I bought the house I was renting so didn't care about timescales. Solicitor still took the piss which I told him.
  9. Might turn out to be half siblings - I'm guessing his mother is Ned's sister and maybe his father was the mad king.
  10. One of the season wide trailers had Davos recognising the coming war against the walkers so presumably he sees Jon as the key to that war.
  11. Haven't read the books but I've seen a few comments which suggest the death/resurrection is pretty much in there though explained a bit differently.
  12. On that sky thing with Sue Perkins she made a good point that there was an element of clearing out the old in favour of a new generation with Ramsay, Yara and even Tommen possibly coming more to the fore.
  13. I always excused Shearer to a certain extent as he took over a squad of non-triers and confidence shattered failures. However Benitez has shown you can turn that around a bit - experience not withstanding of course.
  14. I don't trust Everton and Watford - we're fucked despite the upturn.
  15. The tories looked a million miles from power in 2001 and 2005 but they came back with a non-entity of a leader because of dissatisfaction with a government so it's not a totally lost cause. I still think apart from investment in the NHS and education (too much of it via PFI) there's nothing to be proud of in what Blair achieved and the austerity lite on offer by milliband and the other leadership candidates wouldn't have been that different. When you had the shadow social security minister talking about being tougher on welfare than the tories it should hint at what was planned. Power without principle is the other side of the coin you allude to and if Corbyn and Sanders can inspire youngsters like Rayvin on both sides of the Atlantic the future could be brighter. Maybe not in 5 years but certainly long term.
  16. Well there are no Blairite potential leaders either so in the absence of that, why not come out with policies based on principles rather than the bland failed ideas of the last two elections?
  17. The party of Liz Kendall?
  18. As an afterthought - considering the cunt has given two of the fuckers against us - doe's anyone know whether Dean gives pens for handball every fucking game?
  19. I don't think he's a strong leader but it doesn't help when he's been stabbed in the back by MPs and let down by the stupidity of allies. For the record some of what Livingstone said regarding criticism of Israel is correct and needs to be said but you don't mix fucking Hitler into a discussion about Jews.
  20. THe Force Awakens Better than the three prequels but a bit too reverant and similar to the first one. Carrie Fisher looked disappointingly old (I know she's had a hard life) and you have to wonder how much Mark Hamill got for his "work".
  21. Yeah - Probably just a weak moment because of the kid.
  22. I thought Cersei's self recognition that she's a bit of a twat was good - as was "fuck everyone who isn't us".
  23. I think the discovery and subsequent loss of Dragon glass is a plot device to suggest someone will find some and save the day.
  24. It would be a cop-out in my view if you fill a landscape with complete cunts and then have a happy ending where the only vaguely good guys win. I'd be tempted to engineer the seemingly happy ending then let the white walkers kill 'em all.
  25. I think the motivation to the "all the government has done" is the question. Simply stating it was in the manifesto isn't enough either - it's the why on that question. Concern over death rates doesn't cut it considering how blasé they are about benefit sanction deaths.
