I read "inside this beautiful body" as a compliment to the new lass until I recognised the level of his narcissism.

The point HF is making about hope and aspiration and the current parallel with 92 is going so far above their heads it might as well be being towed behind a small plane.
-
Fantastic piece of writing there HF. I have to confess to going as far as looking up the complaints number for Sky during the first mackem 3-0 to complain about Quinn but at least we were losing

Self-arrest for grammar tense crimes at the end there?

The ex-Liverpool player who had a go at a player (Sissoko) for diving. Cunt. Have to say I didn't like Benitez using "Project" in the press conference - pretentious bollocks but I'll let him off just this once.
-
Especially considering we could easily have been hammered in the 3 away games we didn't lose under him. I think he should have been sacked after defending the performance at West Brom. He should have been taken out and shot after doing the same after Stoke.

Imo It was the way he set them up away from home to play for 0-0 - almost Allardyce like.

He was Burnley player of the year and in the pfa division team so must have done OK.

Yes, the age of consent is very much a modern concept and they would certainly betrothe very young kids pending "womanhood". I have read that the Stark kids are all a couple of years younger in the books compared with TV so I'm guessing there was an element of adjustment knowing there was going to be marriage or indeed rape.

Was it when Sansa was married to Tyrion or Ramsay when she was asked how old she was and said 14? I know wives were younger in olden days which it's based on but it's still a bit Johnson territory.

I think the killing of characters is a bit too common - maybe that's been accelerated as it approaches the conclusion but it would be good to have a couple of Eps without having to wonder who's next. Nothing wrong with the occasional death especially in such a brutal world but it's getting out of hand at the moment.

I would also add that the acting troupe job is a good test for Arya as if I'd watched that play being her I'd want to kill them all.

Sister Sledge and Rose Royce are American as well which supports the desperation argument.

I like the way they've based the north on Yorkshire by and large but Davos the geordie knows nothing about it. Good nasty little twist with Hodor. Hope the new priestess doesn't wait long before getting them out.
-
Love the way they're more concerned with videoing it than fighting - though that would be the same here nowadays at a guess.
-
Congrats - a bit too red and whitey romper though

Torn here. I despise the mancs but abhor Pardew. Guess I'll settle for mild relief if it finishes this way.

Not saying the invasion was right but you'd think it was the end of the world the way they were going on.
-
Ridiculous hyperbole from the sky commentators on the pitch invasion - okay it was a bit ott but I didn't see the massive fights they were describing.
-
Don't forget they own most of "Ponteland" airport as well.
-
The worst I can remember was The Mag producing a "Let's all laugh at Sunderland" special - a bit too much imo but not like the incessant petty shit they get up to.
-
Their need for reassurance that their made up identity is somehow legitimate is desperate at times - I find the fact that there are people from the NE who don't give a shit about football strange but at the same time I accept it so trying to impose an allegiance on someone is just sad. The notion that they are "County Durham's team" is perhaps the most desperate bit - where anyone from there who isn't red & white is somehow a traitor.
-
I did it earlier to confirm what I thought - try "celebrity injunction".

Do a search on Twitter.

I read Jackie Milburn's auto-biography a few years ago and he made the point about the Fairs cup that Don Revie spoke about Ujpest after they's knocked Leeds out where he described them as the best team in Europe and predicted they were going to hammer us easily.
