Massive lies on her cv as well.

I'd add the original cause of Iraq being such a mess was down to the British /French map drawing fiasco post WWI - it might have worked as three countries.
-
There were some incidental mentions of opportunities for oil companies but the most we got on motive was the usual shite about freedom, democracy and western values being established in the region. Even if the motives were anywhere near noble, the methodology and lack of aftermath planning were appalling.
-
He didn't actually mention Blair by name - I'd kick Austin out if it were me.
-
Asking for the dead to be remembered, saying Robin Cook has been proven right. What a cunt eh?
-
Believe it or not I generally don't have a problem with how people vote at a GE - I might think they're wrong but I can usually understand why they vote how they do. This on the other hand is just mass stupidity.
-
My dad's advice to me was to look after yourself , your family and your friends in your day to day life then when it comes to the election you should vote to look after everyone else. If there is nobody to do the latter and you start to feel that everyone else doesn't matter then the world has gone to shit.

I'm about 80% through the first book and I get a sense of some hinting about the events just revealed via Ned's fever dreams but I can see there's going to be a gap in narrative between Ned and Bran. I've also noticed the first season of the TV series is extremely close to the book - I suppose the diversions start as it goes on.

You should watch the two black and white versions of mutiny on the bounty to get an idea of British navy discipline.

Did anyone see Carney's press conference the other day? He asked the assembled journalist who included those from the Ft and the economist, reps of institutions and of course those from the Telegraph, mail, sun etc whether any of them would like to argue whether the warnings he'd given about the shit hitting the fan were in any way incorrect. Total silence was the response.

Surely the fact you think he put his position aside to follow party policy negates that?
-
Well his choice would be to try and change the party policy or to take a stand and resign giving his opponents what they wanted. I'd also suggest that the evidence points to strong sceptic in the past who may have been persuaded to shift to a moderately pro position which he espoused.
-
Leader of a party with an agreed policy mandated by executive /conference? I'm sure not all leaders agree with all their party policies - it would also be worrying if a party had to blindly follow any leader.
-
I've read that he used to have the habit of flashing his cock at lasses in the office when he was on radio one - not saying that's acceptable of course but if that's what's being talked about then it's a bit pathetic.
-
It was a point about associating people with actions and on that basis it was valid especially in the anti-Semitism context. I don't equate the state of Israel with terrorism but they do kill shed loads of people with impunity.
-
The figures do suggest a problem given the results but of course those results would probably include tories who are insignificant in GEs - though I get your point about the lost vote.
-
I agree with a lot of that but I'm finding it hard to reconcile some of the criticism of the referendum campaign with the figure showing 62% of labour voters voted remain - a figure only bettered (just) by the snp and a lot higher than the tory figure. Of course you can argue it should have been higher if you like but it's a sad fact that a lot of working class!/labour voters in the north do have a sun reading, flag waving tendency which could be exploited in this context. Of course it may be that people like that will never accept Corbyn which is why as I've said I'd be happy enough if only a good candidate emerges.

Agreed. Mrs Merton was good as well - I liked how she had audience of old folk and really sold it as a sort of piss take of afternoon TV but in a nice way. RIP.

Dragon Tits' nephew - bound to get together. The mad king they keep referring to (DT's dad) son and heir was call Rhaegar - he was married to a princess from Dorne but fancied Ned Stark's sister who was promised to Robert Baratheon. Rhaegar kidnapped and raped her which kicked off Robert's rebellion which resulted in him being king. The flashbacks to the tower show young Ned rescuing his sister only to find her dying from childbirth and making Ned promise to hide/raise the sprog as his own albeit as a bastard - that bairn is Jon.

Can fist not do an abseiling Santa impression?
-
Possibly. I'm waiting to be wowed by a candidate if that the case and as I've said it's certainly not Eagle.

I think those using a vote on EU immigration (As they see it) as an excuse to have a go at Muslims and Black's have pretty much set their stall out for what they are. Legitimate concerns are fair enough in my view but should be "impersonal" if that makes sense.

Exactly my experience of offshore software development - managers look at the numbers and think it's great but never see the rework/support involved as a downside when calculating the final cost.
-
A tory lite in power isn't great either.

Or maybe Corbyn's policies align more with those member's values than Blairite neoliberal shite? Sounds like you were always in the wrong party to me.
