Just got a text from my window cleaner about some weeding he's doing for me and it's the first time I've seen Pardew speak in written form - "I knew you was going away"

They also played a benefit match when our nascent club was struggling before the merger between East end and West end - I read about this on RTG of course. (See also "Ponteland airport" as another "Woolwich")- 1745 replies

It's been a downhill path in this country since the establishment meekly accepted the Muslim reaction to Rushdie. I'm a bit torn between telling people how to dress and standing up against the bastards but once you allow them an inch they'll take a mile - see that gymnast being banned for blasphemy as the latest example.

We had a load of people over from head office a few weeks ago and we sketched out a plan/design which is critical to the bank on half a dozen white boards. The project managers then published the official review of the plan and instead of translating it using proper ERM tools or Visio they'd just taken photos of the boards. Best session we had was the one with all the PM cunts out of the room.

I'm okay with Agile now as we use software to manage it but if we'd continued with post-its I think I'd have brought a flamethrower in and torched the board by now. Silicon Valley gets the developer personalities pretty well as well.

Much like methodism and the Mormons.

Outside of conscription, it's a choice to join up - it's the contractors on the death star analogy. I know when I've stated this view before others like Alex have mentioned that joining up can be not a completely free choice due to economic context which I fully accept but I still think the world war/other conflict difference can be used as a choice making factor. I also think it gets more politicised year by year. -
The classification of religion is down to adherent numbers rather than degrees of lunacy.

At a stretch some might have constituencies which have BAE jobs concerns - as if there aren't plenty other cunts to sell arms to.

I'd quite happy see him die a la Mr Creosote because of that, the fat cockney cunt.

Being seen as anti-Corbyn more important than opposing genocide. Yes this includes "our" MP.

I watched most of Prince of darkness the other night - really enjoyed it and I still find the hand reaching out to Satan through the mirror really disturbing for some reason.

The fact that she was as stupid and irresponsible to use a private email server in the first place is the issue for me - that's before she deleted 30000 mails.

The BBC showed a few last time around until they realised we weren't going to fail and then they lost interest. -
It's a bit more complicated than that though. Unless it's a landslide situation as in under Thatcher or indeed Blair, Labour actually needs the Lib dems to win place like Witney to simply reduce tory seats. When I say like Witney, I doubt the tories would ever lose it but there are similar places elsewhere. One of the reasons Cameron won an unexpected majority was because the collapse of the Lib dem vote meant these kind of places went tory. Of course as it looks now as I'm sure you're keen to point out, there would be a tory landslide anyway but that may change.

Make the Navy do something useful for a change and impound the cunt's yachts.

Everything else aside Clinton is definitely a hawk and I think she will increase US military intervention around the world. (Obviously still preferable to the fuckwit disclaimer).

Boris-esque racism there

The jcb driver who kept quiet until his death looks like a bit of a cunt if it is that simple.

A lot of the aaa rated shit that caused the sub prime crisis was based on iffy mortgages - imagine Northern Rock on a much larger scale. I'm sure his intention was to help the poor but in typical US style it was via a capitalist path rather than by building public housing. Deregulation of CDSs has nothing to do with good intentions - that was just corrupt neoliberalism.

I remember quite admiring Bill Clinton then seeing him talk about Cuba/Castro with such bile and hatred for a gnat in America's side that I just thought what a cunt.

Poyet's right in that they don't know what they want - besting us (in the games at least) for 4 or 5 years has kept them happy and hidden the stench. It looked like they'd "got it" with Bruce as he at least wanted to push on but his nufc links made them eager to turn on him at the first chance - hoist by their own bitter petard.
-
Read some good stuff about how Clinton's camp completely stonewalled Bill DeBasio (mayor of NY) for wanting to talk about inequality and other non-neoliberal causes.

So saying someone's opinion is rubbish is now anti-Semitic if it involves Jews?
-
Tends not to really work though - as soon as anyone's says "The Israeli government acted like cunts" it will be followed a second later by "anti-Semitism" which helps nobody. It should be easy to say there's a difference between that and things like that Bradford lass said which I think was as blatant as "big nosed" but they both end up being cited as a problem for Corbyn or the party. I agree on the apology thing but you can contrast that with racist comments that Johnson's made which he hasn't even attempted to excuse.
