Nice to see the easy procession lo victory laid out by Tyrion isn't going to happen though I think conveniently ignoring the fact that Varys should have had better intelligence about Euron and Jon was a bit glaring. Otherwise all good.

My sister had a soda stream - they were crap - the pop wasn't properly enfizzied.

Crawling was and is a fantastic song but overall they were a bit too nu-metally for me. Shame about Chester though - RIP.

Just finished Westworld - not quite the masterpiece it's made out to be but very good. Approaching the end I thought it was another "should be just one season" job but there is scope to continue the philosophical side but they're going to have to have a different format rather than just the looping mechanism of the first one.

Thing is pensions have always been a bit iffy - the everage life expectancy of males used to be roughly 67 so on average you got two years in retirement before dying. It's gone up a bit (now stalled) but its still not great in releation to 65 let alone 68. Another thing is they use annuities on private pensions based on death at a hundred so 35 years currently - very few blokes live that long so its pretty much a rip-off.

I pissed next to Tommy Wright's dad and brothers at Villa Park once.

Just around the corner from where I used to live - you'll have living on the site of an old mine in common with SAFC now Stevie Congrats on the wedding.

Think he meant Sansa when he still was a guard - it was during a Joffrey walkabout that she was grabbed.
-
Ah, I'd forgotten he was on Arya's list for killing the butcher's boy. Still surprised he saved Sansa though.
-
I did think of something that jars slightly with me - they're selling this redemption of the hound quite heavily but has he actually been that much of a cunt compared with the show norm? I know there was the farmer thing referred to in this episode and the whole "kidnapping" of Arya (where overall he treat her well) but there was also the bit where he rescued Sansa from the rapist in S1. I can't remember that much cuntishness overall.

I've waited till it finished so will get around to it but it seems to have been well received from what I've read. I enjoyed the surreal stuff in the old one - especially Bob - so have no qualms about it. As I said above, after watching Legion, I think I can take it.
-
Enjoyed it overall but a couple of clunky bits. Have to hope for a load of bled out soldiers next week - mostly collateral to ensure one death. I gave up on the books after the second one - I decided I preferred the vision of the show to the novels - probably the only time I've ever thought that.

Martin Landau as well. RIP.

Ticketmaster run a sub-site called get me in where they legally tout their own tickets under the guise of a "fan site". Can't help with the whys and wherefores - he doesn't appeal to me.

Got a Oneplus 5 today. So far so good.

Biggest ever post war proportion of debt to GDP was under Lamont.

Transition period of 50 years?

To be honest, I though Preston were a haf-decent side last year (despite the results against us) and I thought they might be one of the teams that would have prevented the mackems getting near the play-offs. Not saying they would have won it or anything but I could have seen them finishing 7th or 8th and maybe being an obstacle. Having said that I still think he's a cunt so that suits.
-
Just started that but not sure I can take more fucked up shit just now after watching Legion and Stranger Things recently.
-
Yep - propagating this idea that anyone with money works hard and anyone without is a lazy skiver. Just like when Cameron accused people on benefits for their presumption of entitlement with no thought for that of him and his ilk.

You could pay MPs 500k a year and a hell of a lot of them would still seek more income. They'd also get around any demand to sell rental properties by shifting them to relatives etc.
-
I thought of the second series of auf wiedershen pet where Ally Fraser has 3 options for the old folks home and wanted the worst - hate to say it but the shift towards profit before anything else is the root cause. Thanks once again to Thatcher.
-
I saw a comment that the policy the tories made law pretty much because of the mail whinging about the SNP where only English MPs can vote on English laws means they won't be able to pass any such laws now. A bit of karma at least.

Says leader now gone.

That's why I was contemptuous of this "progressive alliance" stuff - I would never trust the lib dems to not side with the tories again.
