  1. They seemed to go back to how they were before Xmas in a lot of games - reasonably comfortable but just not quite there in terms of final pass. I hope they haven't given up as another 6 or 7 points would be a good ending.
  2. Can we adopt that kid wbo predicted that Burton would win 2-1?
  3. Alien covenant - I read Scott wanted to tell the story of the engineers - fuck knows why they decided to do a bad cover of the shit bits in all of the previous films. The Dark Tower - might have worked as a pilot for a TV series. As a "major" film it failed badly.
  4. Need the name of the linesman for the hall of fame.
  5. Bolton play Burton next week. They're down now.
  6. Might be right for him to go but I desperately hope they fail for the sake of these utter cunts who support them.

Have you tried the rice thing? Don't know if it's a myth to be honest but might be worth a go.
  8. We had absolutely fuck all to play for against Hull and its true there was an air of celebration which I'm not ashamed of - I'm pretty sure there's no photos of grown men hugging each other and in tears a la SOS in 09. That was also the infamous Man city multiplier match where they took about 20000 (in reality probably 8k).
  9. That's the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Do you see a problem there?
  10. Couple of suggestions May lied about the cards - journalists told by HO sources it was 2010.
  11. Another Polish lass at work has just taken British citizenship - I think we have none left who are risking it.
  12. I know but it's still hope rather than expectation for me. I can see all those other teams getting nowt more and they've beaten better teams than Fulham and wolves (Chelsea twice that I can think of) in the past so I'm still taking nowt for granted.
  13. LT's article in the guardian said there were a thousand at the Gillingham game - a classic Mackem multiplier - there were a couple of hundred as far as I can remember from talking to people who were there (from both sides).
  14. It's all relative - Juventus are a huge club but Madrid are larger in EC/CL terms.
  15. Okay it was a pen, though I've seen ones like that for us not given. I just meant it smacked of the European version of what I call Red shirt rule - big clubs getting a disproportionate number of late pens in dubiously long injury time. I
  16. Haven't seen it but the convenience of a pen then fucking stinks.
  17. What do you think is the answer Strawb?
  18. If the 130k paid to Stormy was campaign money he's fucked.
  19. The books by one of my favourite authors and its a bit weird how it switches from a historical story to something well weird. Hope they capture it well.
  20. From my pov it leads to governments in the Major/Blair mould - a hint of decency but nothing bold to address real change on fundamental issues like housing/public ownership/taxation as they don't want to upset what they perceive as their chances of extending power. Whether it was misplaced loyalty or anti-tory resentment, I think the fact that 40% voted for a moderately left wing manifesto shows that the view that only a centrist platform can beat the tories is wrong - I think Blair could have done a lot more in 97 if he'd wanted to.
  21. If you think they'd do better without him, how do you explain the unexpectedly good GE results? A heinous tory government isn't the entire reason as 2015 showed. I wouldn't mind a new leader but not at the cost of a return to centrist policies as I think there is appetite (especially among the young) for something more decent.
  22. I'd add Renton that despite thinking Brexit is the stupidest thing this country has ever done, its almost a sailed ship - all anyone can do is try and make the best of it. Basing an entire thing on reversing it is pretty much a waste of time in the short/medium term.
  23. Well their list of "values" included low immigration as well as being pro Europe plus being in favour of "entrepreneurs" i.e.a mix of NL and ukip policies meant to attract "soft" labour voters. The only possible result, like the fucking SDP, is more tory governments.
  24. Clegg refusing to rule out joining the new party - as expected by cunts, for cunts.
