  1. Her plan is to hold a vote on the 28th and hope opponents panic into voting for it. No deal should really keep them out for years but there's still more than 30 percent who'll take it.
  2. It's still the extra added time that bugs me - the cunt even played more than a minute after we restarted following the goal.
  3. I'm just fucking sick of shit teams like Wolves and Watford earning plaudits for being seventh or eighth - they're fucking shit man. No foul on Dubravka but foul on Almiron - and magic extra minute - but he was a cunt all night so didn't expect it to be disallowed.
  4. I'd like to see the film where MF says "doesn't need any more tits".
  5. The more shit teams shitting it the better imo.
  6. Served as a minister under Blair I believe
  7. As I said before unless quite a few tory MPs voted for it, it could never happen. There is no evidence whatsoever that enough tories would even consider it - let alone if it was backed by Labour. The idea that any leader could "force" another vote is wishful thinking.
  8. Amendments for pv and extension were voted down. Numbers, numbers, numbers.
  9. I tend to watch a few films which I know I could stream. I also do a fair bit of channel browsing and end up watching pretty brain dead stuff but that's mostly what I want from my TV when relaxing after work. I do my "serious" TV watching of new shows during my lunch hour at work. If I could be arsed I'd make do with freeview and stream "good stuff" but I'm okay at the moment.
  10. I have Sky but not BT. I enquired a few years how much I'd save by stripping Sky Sports and it was a tenner a month so didn't bother. It's hard to see the model continuing going by that article like.
  11. It would be good if winning the presidency exposed crimes that he would otherwise have got away with - assuming they can nail the fucker for them.
  12. Didn't say you have to agree with their views - just saying it brings to mind the argument we've had on here in the past - if NL were so great, why do all these deindustrialised areas still feel like they've been betrayed over a longer term than this tory government? Blaming the EU is bollocks but perhaps they should ask why NL didn't exactly transform these areas either.
  13. Sunderland definitely not - places like Mansfield and other marginals could be affected. The gammon trope is the extreme - there are leave voters who deserve a bit of understanding even if you do think they were wrong..
  14. Fair comment - but I still maintain he's in a hard position because of the split in labour voters.
  15. I think he could have done better but I understand some of his views being shaped by leave area votes which I think as "metropolitan" remainers we underestimate. Going full on remain/second vote/very soft brexit would have come at a cost - look at how the lib dems were wiped out at the GE and their current standing as evidence. As I also keep saying, I think there seems to be a simple misunderstanding of parliamentary maths.
  16. He's not alone in not wanting a second vote - as I've said on here the assumed result is not a given once a new campaign gets under way. Also have a look at how Cooper campaigned on a respect the result/end fom platform at the 2017 GE.
  17. Jo Johnson voted for none of the "decent" amendments. When it comes to the ones that matter they fall in line.
  18. The softer version of brexit which is official labour policy you mean?
  19. Yeah tory MPs would have voted for a second vote if he'd banged on about it a bit. Right.
  20. No large support for even extending the deadline let alone any kind of remain-ish proposition.
  21. I'd add that the idea of a second vote is beyond dead and would never have passed either.
  22. No, the rebels only voted against her when it didn't matter.
  23. The tories and the dup have a parliamentary majority - they vote along party lines - it wouldn't have mattered one iota who was opposition leader and given the Hoeys of this world there were no amendments that could have been passed.
  24. Might be amusing watching Hepburn explaining himself when Tyne Dock closes after Nissan fuck off.
