They may still vote Labour with the current policy which attempts to satisfy both sides - coming out as pure remain/second ref might cost them those votes offseting the gains - that's what I'm saying.
-
So you still don't accept that Labour voters outside of the cities are still pro-brexit?

Would make a good debate - that makes a stronger Atheist - a Catholic or a Jew?
-
I had a teacher who admitted to praying for SAFC to win and then asked us why it was pointless - I resisted the temptation to say well obviously God hates you as much as everyone else in the world before he told us it was because someone would be praying for the opposition. We didn't get into which person was more pious and therefore deserved to have their prayers answered. Catholic education eh?

One of the first tweets I saw about it actually had "sending thoughts and prayers" - that universal cure all.

One of the aspects of going to games in Europe I always enjoyed was visiting significant churches. The architecture and art can be breathtaking but I always spared a thought for the poor peasants who paid for them both literally and by resources not spent on the communities by the bishops/popes. It's a shame this has happened but the gnashing of teeth grates on me too - fuckers turning up and singing hymns being an example.

Generic small time football blather thread FOREVER

Were the strips black? - Smith wouldn't have liked that. -
There's definitely a couple of 74s - not sure if that's it. Decent scene setter as a start this week.

More importantly Ivor Broadis. RIP.

There are two kind of anonymous performances - hiding a la Thauvin etc and good ones where someone just gets on doing a bloody good job so you don't really notice them. Hayden the latter obviously.

Sugar Puffs boycoutt arena for me marra.

Well they aren't going to suspend parliamentary recess are they so that's a good 3 months wasted.
-
I have a feeling October was chosen to make it extremely difficult for time for a second ref.
-
These persistent niggly ones are always a pain - sometimes a cleaner thing that needs an op is "better".

He's taking the migrants suppress wages and stretch resources line. Of course its bollocks but unfortunately a shit load of people - mainly in northern Labour areas - believe it to be true so its pandering.
-
If say a ref is agreed for August or September, I think the euro elections campaign will give us pointers on how the ref one will be - probably pretty tosic unfortunately.
-
Watson is the only fucker who seems to care about the electoral crimes but he's a lone voice unfortunately.

Man City should have had about 12 by now.
-
I used to cycle to work through that in days of yore - there was something thrilling about going full belt in complete safety.
-
Tbf they did have withdrawing from the CU and SM in their GE manifesto so I don't think she was ever leaning towards a soft-ish position.
-
For all of my black and white eyes, I thought a cross party consensus process should have been started the day after the result.
-
I never saw any of it at the time but have seen bits on gold since - I think it's not too bad (I like Ruth Jones) and think Corden is vaguely human in it. However my opinion of him had already been set by seeing him in other things like that league of their own shit and his chat show appearances - I think he's an intensely dislike able man to put it mildly.
-
If that's on a ballot then a preference vote would see her shit deal win imo - need to ensure that's not on.
-
I think her strong deadline means they'll say a ref can't be done in time - deliberate of course.

I was just talking to someone last week about how it's now 74 years since ww2 finished so anyone claiming first hand experience of it would have to be 85 plus. The cunts coming out with this line of imperialist bullshit are all my age and a bit older who grew up in the 70s/80s - it's complete fucking shit based on nonsense.
