Not only is it vital that we bring in a decent striker next season but it's imperative that we don't sell Tiote or Enrique as the rumours are suggesting! Yesterday was a superb performance. Brum have been pretty poor all season in my opinion, they were poor v West Ham in the cup games apart from the 45 minutes in the second half of the second leg which was the clincher. I thought we were comfortable all over the park really, we passed the ball better than them and looked dangerous going forward.

Quite disappointed with the prices to be honest. I was under the impression that the Olympics would be pretty cheap but £20 the cheapest ticket, Mind you if that is for both games then it's not so bad I suppose. As for Covs stadium wasn't that only selected because Villa are planning to redevelop their ground? Don't know why, They can't fill it at the moment anyway!

Get in there! In Rainbows was class! I hope it's more of the same!

My Desire's been off for repair, when it gets back i'm seriously thinking about rooting and flashing a custom ROM onto it. Has anyone done this with a branded phone? I think you need to go down the Goldcard root if your phone is branded and it looks like a bit of an arse on!

Absolutely love this song, the album is superb also!
-
hmm, 4 points gained out of the last possible 27? Their form has been terrible since they beat us That said who are they going to get in!?
-
My favourite opening track, also my favourite album of all time!
-
Chapel Clubs new album is good, Sounds a bit like Editors (earlier stuff, not ITLAOTE). Favourite song off the album is probably Five Trees, but the album grows on you so much after a couple of listens! Has anyone heard the new album by Little Comets? they got a mention a couple pages back. Geordie band, really upbeat and energetic. Pretty good listen.

Doesn't that picture just make you fucking rage. It's the guys hand Carroll is shaking, just puts the icing on the cake doesn't it
-
have we actually rejected a bid? source?
-
Not yet. I'm going to have to wait until it's released, O2 throttling all my torrents 24/7 with them for another 11 months too! What's the Cold War Kids album like? i've heard it's got pretty poor reviews? I've not listened to it yet
-
It's only Sky Sports, but they are saying that Ireland is having a medical at St. James' :
-
Yes. Not great. Certainly has mixed reviews, It's really grown on me though! first half of the album is superb! Currently listening to: Bob Dylan - Sad Eyed Lady Of The Lowlands
-
If this is true and we do sell him then it confirms all along what most of us have been thinking: that we're nothing more than a selling club, content with surviving in the premiership and happy to sell any player with a shred of talent. I'll be fucking outraged if the club sells Carroll.

Oh and Leazes, cheers for looking for mild too! Even though I don't live in Denton

Budvar I hope and not that American stuff!

Listen Marko, I respect you, normally you post intelligent informed stuff in a serious but endearing way, I know kids who know you they all say you're a good lad, but on this occasion you're talking FUCKIN PISH! Your argument starts regarding the Wolves situation last year, if Wolves were fined then so should Blackpool be, that's all ok, but Wolves shouldn't have been fined neither. The Premiership have fuck all right to dictate how a club utilises their resources over a season. Just where is the cut off line where, a club has made too many changes, or is alright because they've only made three or four. Does it gets to the stage where every game, every manager should have to explain why he's played particular players in each game? It's a load of pish. As a manager of a club you do what's right for your club, and I wouldn't care Blackpool had Villa all over by all accounts. It could get to the point in the future where managers lie about players being injured to give them a rest and keep them for games they perceive as more winnable. The whole ruling is completely and utterly clouded, and your argument once again to clarify is pish. Clubs should be able to do what they want. Man Utd for example have done it for 15 years when they've had big CL Semi's ahead, it's a shocking ruling, if I was Blackpool I'd go to the Court of Arbitration, and ask them if the FAPL actually have a legal right to uphold these sanctions. Then the rulings should be made to be as clear as possible which I'm sure you will agree with Stevie. You say managers will argue about players being injured, I'll accept that and it's another thing that will have to be taken into consideration. but surely if you remove a rule such as this we're going to start getting frequent situations where teams field weakened sides against teams they believe they have no chance of getting any points from on the basis of resting players and saving them from other games, something I don't agree with. When I go to watch us I want us to put out our strongest possible 11 for every single game injury permitting, if 1 or 2 players are tired and are rested then I can just about accept that, but as I said in my original post, Blackpool made 11 changes that night, and 7 of that 11 haven't made one league start since! I can understand the argument of the 25 man squad rule, but it still doesn't take away the fact that they weren't Blackpool's starting 11 hence the limited game time all have had since baring the goalkeeper. Think of the fans who pay good money to see their team only to find out that they're team are fielding a load of fringe and reserve players. I know somebody who spent close to £200 taking his family to the Wolves game last year only to find out McCarthy's team selection, they were extremely fucked off. As would I be if I found out we played a load of fringe/reserve players in a league game. Regardless of the 25 man squad rule.

anybody heard the new White Lies album? got pretty mixed reviews but I like it
-
The difference is that this season there is the 25 man squad rule. What is the point in naming the 25 if you can't use them? But surely you would say that what Holloway did against Blackpool wasn't rotation, especially with the stat I gave before (7 haven't made 1 league start since). That's my problem with it, This wasn't 1 or 2 changes to combat tired legs/fatigue. This was nothing less than being prepared to concede defeat against Villa in the hope that their players with rest would get a victory against West Ham
-
I think the premier league have made 100% the right decision. With the fine given to Wolves last season after the Man United disgrace there was no way Holloway was going to get away with this. If you look at that team who started against Villa, looking on soccerbase, of the start 11, 7 haven't made one league start since the villa game. Kingston has played every game since but if Gilks was fit he (Kingston) wouldn't have. That wasn't an example of squad rotation, that was an example of Holloway admitting defeat and concentrating on another match. The fact they came close to getting a result is the reason he tried to gloss over it at full time. What I will say though is that this rule should apply to all, regardless of who you are, it's time the FA monitored this more closely.

Has anyone got the Birmingham v West Ham game on? Birmingham are absolutely shocking, after a first half display like that it's no surprise they're hovering above the relegation zone Larsson has again done little, I'm pleased McLeish says he has no intention of selling him!
-
skysports Haha nothing like endearing yourself to your fans by calling their town a shit hole and say the Women aren't up to scratch!
-
Someone said to me a while ago that, you should be thrown out the Prem if you can't take 3,000 away every week. Would be a three team league of us, Man Utd and Liverpool if they did. David Whelan must surely know he's fighting a losing battle, there just simply isn't the support for the team! they must make fuck all in ticket sales merchandise sales etc I wonder how much he has to bank roll the club? they've been lucky that they've made some big money sales in recent years!
-
didin't they take a similar number to Tottenham earlier in the season? I can't stand them. To me they're the pinnacle of what is wrong with modern day football. Can't wait for them to go down and rot in a division to which they belong!
-
have you tried it in cans ? They aren't that bad ie Guinness etc is OK in a can and some bitters too aren't much different if at all. Once a couple of years back and it wasn't too great, drinkable but nothing special. Theres mild ales for sale online but i was just wondering if there were any people knew of for sale in shops. I was born too late and missed when Mild was one of the most popular drinks in Britain
