Took me ages to find this thread! Went to see Arctic Monkeys on Friday at Don Valley bowl with Dead Sons, Vaccines and Miles Kane supporting. Was a fucking quality gig and the first time i've been to a gig where I've liked all the support acts!! Monkeys were on top form playing a wide range of material, They ended on A Certain Romance (first time they've played it since 07 apparently!) Tonight I'm seeing We Are Scientists at the boro empire. I saw them a couple weeks back at Rock Am Ring in Germany but they're not really well known over there so although their set list was good, the atmosphere wasn't brilliant! Should be superb tonight though, they suit smaller venues, Boro Empire is one of my fav in the region. Still got Foo Fighters to see next month also at MK Bowl Planning on getting tickets to: Bombay Bicycle Club @ Newcastle Academy 01/10/11 Chapel Club @ sunderland Independent 12/10/11 Miles Kane @ Middlesbrough Empire 13/10/11 Arctic Monkeys @ Newcastle Arena 5/11/11 (Saturday so should be a day on the drink) Wild Beasts, Antlers, Yuck @ Leeds Uni 12/11/11 Anyone else planning on going to any of them?

exactly, I don't think many would say he's capable of a starting role but with Kuqi leaving and Lovenkrands becoming less and less effective he's a good back up to have

Where did you hear this? a quick google news search and newsnow I can't find anything regarding the Bothroyd transfer. I don't think its such a bad signing on a free, as long as he isn't who we're expecting to lead the line next season, Kuqi is useless as expected and I don't think we'll see much more from Lovenkrands! Been all over Radio Newcastle, and sources in Wales too. Ah ok I'm sure other sources will pick it up shortly

Both Welsh teams have been in the top teir of English football before in their history, because it's called the premiership shouldn't make a bit of difference. The only thing that I'm against about Swansea and Cardiff competing in the English football system is that they should be answering to our FA and not the FA of Wales!

I like him, fantastic manager. He's not without faults and everybody knows that he should spend some of the money made available to him! That aside though the club are constantly in the top four always do well in the champions league and play absolutely superb football! They've won nothing for a while granted but that won't continue for long I think.
