Good win for Blyth. Disappointed that Darlington were knocked out the FA Cup by Droylsden and last nite they were locked out of the Northern section of the JPT Semi Final.

But my CD is back in Darlington.... I only have Itunes open at the moment?

we'll be nowhere Europe! we get results against Portsmouth and Villa which were superb then fail to beat stoke, fulham or wigan!
-
Shola, Viduka doesnt seem fit at the moment.

Always thought the phonics have got too much stick. First two albums were superb the rest have been average with a few stand out tracks. I wouldnt really say they've done a 'poor' album to be honest though thats my own personal opinion. As for big Arena's, I prefer smaller one's like the academy but I think the NIA is a decent venue. The Acoustics certainly aren't as bad as they are at the arena in Newcastle!

Suddenly nothings clear? Ay ah ah ah ah ah I dunno, he's better than Fat Sam, but only because he knows that you play to win against teams you can beat and park the bus in front of the goal against teams you don't. Except when you're two nil up at home. Which is partially why we need better (or at least a manager that understand subs too - and probably can resist having a go at the ref). Kinnears substitutions frustrate the hell out of me. Against Sunderland you could see we needed changed to be made and Kinnear waited far too long to introduce Barton and Spiderman! Against Wigan we should have brought players on the second Boyce had been sent off. And I'm convinced had Martins not signalled to the bench on Sunday Kinnear wouldnt have brought Shola on at all.

80k? Not a chance he will sign that I dont think. The guy has proved he's still got a lot to offer even with the injuries he's had. he'll be wanting 120k imo!

Went to see the Phonics last nite at the Birmingham NIA absolutely superb. They're doing a UK tour not sure if they've been up to Newcastle yet? Anyway any fans on here? The Courteeners supported they were pretty good also!

desperate for Hull tickets. anyone got any?

If he goes on a fantastic run he shouldnt be given the job. This is exactly what happened with Roeder. I knew Roeder would fail, nice guy but a hopeless manager! Kinnear has shown he has major flaws in his managerial abilities. I hope to god we dont give him a full time contract. We will go nowhere.
-
Of course he will, cos he's a cock. Didn't he imply the racist card because there was no black premiership managers. He's a cock
-
The only decent job he did was at Macc! he was given a wad of cash at MK Dons. He moved to Blackburn and bought players like Mark Bunn and Keith Andrews! brought in lower league backing staff and wondered why he struggled. I'm glad he's got egg on his face to be honest.

Should be Souness. I hate the guy but I think he would keep them up. Bit pissed off as I would have liked Ince in charge when we played them
-
But who could we really bring in whilst the club is up for sale. There seems to be no suitable buyers for the time being and there is no garuntee what Ashley is going to make available for a manger with regards to transfer funds. Something I think is putting off a huge amount of managers
-
Owen has featured in all 41 previous matches bar 4
-
The bit in bold highlights very succinctly why we should be breaking our backs to ensure he stays. The bloke is paramount to any future plans. His goal return is incredible, but looking at that stat it also underlines how few games he has played. Aye but I think of the last 42 games (around that) he's only not featured in 6. Unless i was horrendously wrong in my calculations!

What a f*cking finish eh!?

With the situation the club is in at the moment, where do we really go? I dont think Kinnear is the man for the job. We should have had an extra 4 points from Stoke and Wigan If we had we'd have moved above Pompey after yesterdays results. His outburts are getting tiring now. the 52 swear words in 5 minutes was genious, calling Atkinson? was it mickey mouse was a joke considering Sholas equaliser was a couple of yards offside against Fulham and we were generally poor that day. Going off his rocker against Stoke, he was the one who put us under pressure with putting 6 defenders on the pitch. He invited the pressure on from Stoke. but who else can we get in with the club like this at the moment, big managers wont come anywhere near us if Ashley is trying to sell the club. And this is another problem. There seems to be no buyers for the club and this is going to stop top manager looking at us. Do we forgive Ashley, let him get on with it and bring in a better manager?

I thought Martins struggled towards the end of his game (before he was subbed) Pace wise he couldnt seem to get away from their back line, even when it looked like he was in behind them. I'm still not convinced he is fully fit -
Howcome? There has to be quite a few clubs after him now Which clubs are going to be able to offer him the money he wants and the first team football he needs to get back into the England squad? None of the big four seem interested/able to offer him first team football, City can get any striker in world football and nee one else can really afford him. Providing we haven't offered him less than he is on at the minute there is a chance that he may stay. I dont think he will go in January to be honest. Kinnear is spot on. The £4m or so we would get for him wouldn't get us a replacement anywhere near his calibre. But come January he is free to discuss contracts with any other club. I'm sure a few clubs will be looking at him if he's on a free. The guy is on fire! Am I right in thinking both Everton and Villa want him. Villa can afford him that goes without saying and Everton I think would pull out the stops if it means signing a player of Owens brilliance for free. I don't think Villa can afford him. Lerner seems to be running a fairly tight ship moneywise and I can't see them breaking the bank for Owen. I can't see Kenwright allowing Moyes to go for Owen either since he wants out of the club. I disagree, Lerner seems to say the money is there if you want it, they spent pretty big in the summer just gone they signed davies, sidwell, luke young, milner, friedel etc. They spent well over £20m in all, Didn't accept any bids for Barry. I think the only player they sold was Luke Moore! There's a difference between signing those players who are on fairly low wages and spunking £100k+ a week up the wall on one player. Oh I agree, but if you sign Owen for free on £120k a week. You have a player who is currently scoring a goal every other game for £6,240,000 a season. and no transfer fee. I think a club who are really pushing for a top four place would seriously consider and offer for a player who has a good record for NUFC

No, but that had to be exepcted. The lad had just played in a relegation battle all season with Bolton and was let go on the cheap by Liverpool. I think he's a good signing, a battler someone we need. -
It may depend on how Man City do in January - if they go for stupid people like Torres or a bit lower but it doesn't work out and it gets to the last couple of days without "satisfaction" then they may go for him. I have a feeling Owen may sign a new contract but it aill have clauses that allow escape if someone he fancies comes in. Arent City in discussions for David Villa?

I had a feeling all week we would win Yesterday walking up to the ground I was the only one who said outright I thought we would win. No real reason just a hunch! however I did not expect a 3-0 thumping. The Newcastle fans were superb yesterday and the lads did us proud. For all the Newcastle fans who came down from Newcastle, Full credit to you as you must have had to set off at ridiculous o clock to get there! I left the house at 7am and that was early enough for me! Martins seems to be carrying a knock I feel, he isn't fully fit that goes without saying. Anyone who was at the game would have seen that before he scored he actually signalled to come off, this was about 10 seconds before he scored. Owen was brilliant again had a good game. Guthrie, love the lad! he's nothing flash nothing special he just gets on with the game. You will get the odd mistake/miss-timed pass/broken leg in his game but I don't think you can doubt his commitment. He looked thoroughly pleased when he came over to the corner and he was met by hoardes of NUFC fans cheering him on! good on the lad!
