I agree that Johnson is a handful but Zamora? I don't think we will have much problem containing him if he does play! I'd be far more concerned about Nevland! Murphy is the key for them we need to keep him quiet. Nicky Butt on Afonso style perhaps

Am I the only one who still admires the player? I am first to say that his mistakes have lead to some goals against us and I'm first to say that he can sometimes let his heart rule his head, But saying that I believe he is the only one who plays 110% for the club, he scores some vital goals and I truly see him as an asset to NUFC. I am fully aware I will come in for slack for this thread as there are a lot of people who seem to have taken a dislike to Taylor I just hope those same people recognise the important goals the lad has scored for the club.

We created 3 good chances to score against Pompey, I suspect we will have another 2/3 v Boro who aren't the same defensively. It will come down to whether someone puts one or two of these away. And whether we can defend against a shit side who are willing to have a go. Alves' chances against Man United have given me hope that they will struggle as much as us to score.

Tbh Stevie, I was just hoping he could do something for us in the last handful of games, since he's about the best of a bad bunch in central midfield (along with Guthrie). He couldn't even achieve that relatively small goal though. Seconded, he's away now I think and rightly so. He's just fucked up every single chance he has been presented with at this club, We stuck by him and paid the money to get him out of Man City (even that loyalty clause he had inserted into his contract!) We stuck by him in prison and we stuck by him with the injuries and the bans he has had since joining this club. I'm disappointed to say the least, We've given him ample space to prove himself and he just throws it back in our face. The fact that he's probably our best central midfielder is quite sad really.

We were absolute gash yesterday, Although Spurs may not have created a lot of clear cut chances they were always dangerous, passed the ball about superbly and ALWAYS looked a threat, We were a shamble, Didn't really look like scoring and even if the Martins goal would have counted, 1-1 wouldn't have been a fair result. There's no way Coloccini Bassong, Guttierez, Barton, Martins would remain at the club. I'd also have to think about Enrique and Nolan. In my opinion should we go, Harper, Beye, Lovenkrands, Nolan, Butt, Guthrie, Ameobi and Carroll are probably the only players that we could keep and could really afford. Do you think this is a long term plan, didnt Llambias say that we would be making a profit in 2 season after this one? surely then the money we're making will mean we will be putting more money towards transfers?
