1. 17 starts compared to 26 for Charlie. 120135 1 goal and 3 assists from 17 starts...
2. So was George Graham last week...
3. From reading a piece on ceefax about the Intertoto Cup it suggests only 1 team can enter from England, that being the highest placed applicant who hasn't qualified for Uefa cup through league position.
4. I'm pretty sure the finalists get a UEFA Cup spot.
5. Aye, because he's never managed to score 17 in a season before Bellamy is a top Premiership player but Owen is a World class talent and finisher.
6. On the plus side they'll be knackered come sunday, they've got their FA Cup replay next week so they might rest a few...
7. Nice one! I had them a 11/1 when they were 2-1 up You could have got 80/1 when they were 1-0 down...
8. I'm happy, I had a tenner on them to qualify at 11/1 when they were 2-1 up!
9. Only took him about 4 minutes to get the job done...
10. I doubt many City fans would agree with you...
11. I just posted this on N-O and some bastard deleted it!
12. Here they are, not the best though. Here

14. Do you think Parker would have got onto the end of the first goal? Do you think he would've been running into the box to win the penalty? I couldn't see it. 113335 No he wouldn't, but they're a different type of player. I like Bowyer and I like the way he plays - box to box, chases down lost causes, tracks back and puts the boot in when it's needed, but I like Parker an'all. I wonder how long Parker's been playing with this glandular fever as well as it sounds like he's been under the weather for a while, and he's looked a bit off the pace in games recently too. 113340 About a month according to Roeder.
15. He was at the Fulham/Pompey game today sat next to Sven.
16. Looking at the Spurs midfield pairing I'd say we were better off going with two attack minded midfielders, neither of them are likely to brake forward and score so a defensive midfielder would be wasted in todays game. Saying that there will be matches when a Emre/Bowyer partnership would be ripped to pieces.
17. Carrick and Nolan for starters. 113325 Since when has Nolan been a defensive midfielder
18. Emre's strength is his vision in his passing, you see him looking up when he gets the ball for someone to make a run but with two static strikers in Shearer and Ameobi you know no such run will happen.
19. We'd all love O'Neill here Mar 25 2006 By Luke Edwards, The Journal As concern continues to fester regarding his long-term future at Newcastle United, Shay Given has given his backing to the club's quest to persuade Martin O'Neill to become its next boss. Given will have just one year left on his contract in the summer and there is a growing sense of unease that the Republic of Ireland international could be sold if he refuses to sign a new deal. But while talks have been put on hold until the end of the season, Given has hinted he will have no problem staying on Tyneside as long as Newcastle can attract the right manager to replace the deposed Graeme Souness. Given has been one of the more outspoken members of the United dressing room for several years and he has never tried to hide his dissatisfaction at United's failure to challenge at the top of the Premiership. And with Turkish midfielder Emre also suggesting this week that he needs to be convinced of Newcastle's ambition before he commits his long-term future to the club, Given has insisted the appointment of O'Neill would have the overwhelming support of the players. "I would love to see him come on board," said Given, who has refused to answer questions about his contract until the end of the season. "Martin did a fantastic job at Celtic. Even at Leicester he won a cup and who would have thought that? He has a fantastic CV, is a fantastic guy and he loves his football. "I do not know what is going on behind the scenes or what the chairman is doing but I am sure he is working hard to try and get someone of that calibre in. I do not know who it is going to be, obviously, but if you ask many of the players and went out on the street and asked the fans, they would be very excited if Martin O'Neill took the job. "I have questioned the direction of the club in the past but that is why the chairman is taking his time to get it right because it's so important. "There is not a mad rush. Glenn has come in and steadied the ship. There would be support (in the dressing room) for Martin O'Neill. I am Irish so maybe I am speaking out of turn but I would think the general consensus is that they would be very pleased if he took over." Having enjoyed three years of European football under Sir Bobby Robson, Given has never tried to hide his irritation at Newcastle's inability to maintain those standards. But the new vice-captain of the Republic of Ireland is adamant Newcastle's players cannot allow any sort of complacency to creep into their performances. He said: "As far as I am concerned whenever you put the jersey on you should be giving your all. Whoever the new manager is, I am sure he'll know what players he wants to keep." Given added: "It has obviously been a disappointing season. We need a bit of stability now and it is up to the players now to improve."
20. Yes, I appreciate and understand that. 108821 Thanks It was more aimed at Dan though 108823 Don't worry, I'm aware of that. My flounce-exit would be magnified by 1000 times if it was a forum job! Just re-reading the e-mails sent, WTF were you thinking lads? Creating an entire website, sending page long e-mails and pretending to be from another country just for cheap laughs. Still can't believe why anyone would want to do it. 108827 They're both remarkably quiet now aren't they 108829 Peasepud wants to post but he keeps getting interrupted by the phone...
