1. How many has he scored? I only know of 2 against Birmingham.
2. Some people just look older, Jose Reina, Dean Ashton and Arjan Robben all look in their late 20's.
3. His contract doesn't run out until 2009.
4. Yep, strikers with good goal scoring records in this second rate league rarely prove to be talented players. What have the van Nistelrooys, Romarios, Ronaldos, Makaays etc. ever achieved after leaving Holland? 176369 Ronaldo was an amazing talent scoring on average a goal a game both in the league and in Europe, RVN had a decent scoring record in the CL with PSV and would have left Holland earlier if it wasn't for an injury, Makaay left for Spain at a young age but was hardly a top goalscoring in Holland, not too sure about Romario. Kuyt outside of the Dutch league has done nothing, not for Feyenoord in Europe or at International level, thats not to say he can't come here and be a top player but for £10 million it s just to big a risk IMO. 176387 Feyenoord are shite though to be fair, so he's fighting a losing battle on the european front... 176390 But they are still one of the top teams in that division which doesn't say much for the rest of the teams he's playing against. Did you watch them against Reading yesterday? What was Kuyt like?

6. Who's this wonderkid leftback at Southampton, Bailes is it?? 174252 Baines? At Wigan? 174263 There is a Giles Barnes at Derby (midfielder I think) and Gareth Bale (fullback) at Southhampton. Both 17 or 18 both tipped to make it to the top. 174272 Terry Mac watched Giles Barnes on the weekend. I'd prefer him to Gravesen.
7. My ITK has told me he's been homesick for the past 19 years
8. If Akabusi says it, it's gospel tbh. 174543 Akabusi gets it off the Spurs forums tbh.
9. Freddie only supported the replay as he wanted Spurs backing to give Roeder the job. Duff chose us over Spurs and they have said they have no interest in Martins as they already have Defoe, Keane and Berbatov.
10. Didn't he play against Lillestrom? Goal city with that selection. 174508 Not sure if the inter toto cup counts? I remember last season that the first couple of games did not. 174513 Intertoto doesn't count this season.
11. Don't believe anything you read on a Spurs forum, full up with cockney twats who all claim to have ITK info...
12. The only similarities between him and Lua Lua is that they do backflips when they score, Martins is more like a young Samual Eto'o. I'd prefer him here over Kuyt.

14. Breaking news on Sky Sports!
15. Internazionale striker Obafemi Martins has asked to be placed on the transfer list. The 21-year-old informed the Nerazzurri of his decision upon hearing the news that Hernan Crespo had signed from Premiership champions Chelsea. With the likes of Adriano and Julio Cruz also at the San Siro, Martins would have had to scrap for a regular starting berth, but he has chosen instead to seek out a new club. There was plenty of interest in the forward last term, but Inter's valuation of €25 million (£17.4 million) deterred the suitors. According to Martins' agent, Premiership clubs Tottenham, Newcastle and Portsmouth are possible destinations. Spanish outfit Valencia have also been strongly linked with a move for the Nigerian
16. He's not a Chelsea type forward, just people putting 2 + 2 together.
17. Martins has just handed in a transfer request 171875 Source ? 171890 Sky sports news
18. Martins has just handed in a transfer request
19. Two year loan isn't it? They can take him back after the first season if they want to.
20. I'm pretty sure we tried to sign Bent in a double deal with Ambrose, he turned us down to stay at Ipswich and play regular first team football. Looks like he made the right decision.
21. The papers have us linked with both Francesco Tavano and Obafemi Martins.
22. Anelka would be a great signing Strong, quick, good in the air and a decent finisher, he has everything that Roeder seems to be looking for in a striker (except for the questionable attitude) I'd rather us take a chance on him than moving for Ashton.
