  1. I wonder why they named us instead of Juventus?
  2. Bramble had gone out to block the cross, the reason that whole move came about was because Taylor headed a clearance that Given had come to the edge of the box to collect, nobody expected it and it caught everyone unaware. N'Zogbia was fucking awful tonight, as was Ramage. Taylor was worth a 7 Bramble a 6 And N'Zogbia a 4
  3. Apart from one awful pass from Bramble that put us under pressure, I didn't think there was much between either of them .....and you actually watched the match?? There were several errors to be fair. Several? Can you name them? Well you're at it can you name the moments of quality from N'Zogbia too?

  5. What's that? Around £2.5m ? FFS. I'd also guess that the jumping flop is on high wages. I think a transfer would help directly finance someone like Nugent for 4m if you include the money saved in wages. I imagine Luque is on something like £60,000 pw so that'll be over £3 million a year saved on wages. I can't see Preston selling Nugent for £4 million though. And I would not pay a penny more. The valuation of some players in England is ridiculous IMHO. I think £4 million would be a fair price, however with Preston top of the league (I think) then possible promotion will be worth more to them in the long run, also Birmingham paid about that much for Mcsheffrey who isn't a patch on Nugent IMO.

  7. Has anyone read HTL's comments about it on N-O? I agree with him 100%
  8. He improved when Sibierski went up top with him and Dyer went out onto the right. He's not an out and out goalscorer but he'll look far better when he's next to one.
  9. It looks to me as if Bramble is pulling the strings at the back He gets the rest of the backline to push out and he stays back with the last man, as soon as the ball is played forward he steps out with his arm in the air and catches the attacker offside, he's done it a few times over the past few weeks.
  10. Christoph Daum has been appointed coach of Bundesliga Zwei outfit Cologne just days after rejecting the club's initial offer. The Goats revealed his change of heart immediately after their 2-1 home defeat to 1860 Munich on Sunday. Daum, who is currently recovering from a neck operation in Cologne, will start work in December after putting pen-to-paper on a four-year deal. "After my operation Cologne needed a quick decision. I was not feeling very good and so I said 'no'", Daum told Express. "But last week I rang Cologne's general manager Michael Maier to congratulate him on his birthday and he told me that the door was still open for me at the club despite my decision. "That got me thinking and I eventually decided to follow my heart. "I'm really looking forward to the challenge. Cologne is a club with huge potential." Daum made his name as a coach during a successful four-year stint with Cologne between 1986 and 1990 and is still revered by the club's fans. http://home.skysports.com/list.aspx?hlid=4...urns+to+Cologne
  11. They were lucky tonight, they play a counter attacking style and like to dive all over the place.
  12. I took my Nephew in there before the game against Tallinn so kids are allowed, not sure if they have to be out by 7pm though.
  13. Paul Jewell is really starting to impress me as a manager. Not only are Wigan picking up points but they're playing good football to go with it, we could do a lot worse than getting him here.
  14. However he is another lightweight shortarse. What with Baba, Carr, Emre, Solano, Martins, Dyer, Owen and Duff we really could do with some height in the team. We really need two strikers coming in anyway, it's possible that Luque will be sold and Rossi not extending his loan which will leave us with Martins and Sibierski up top, you can add Dyer to that if he can maintain his fitness. Bringing in Maloney on the cheap would be smart business from us, as long as we still bring in someone else who is capable of holding the ball up up front.
  15. We're the main match on Football First tonight. 8.25.
  16. I was really worried about Damage having to face the likes of Hleb, Damage is woeful in one on ones and he gives too much space for them to work with. Baba is not the best but he's the only left-back we have, don't we have a left-back on the reserve team who is half way decent. Bernard
  17. Martins crossed for Dyer to score. According to the radio commentary he was woeful. I've watched it over the net and he played well, he showed strength to hold the ball up and linked well with Dyer, some of his touches were excellent. He didn't really have any chances in front of goal but that was because we were on the back foot most of the match. What did they say about Duff and Ramage BTW? Both were absolutely fucking shite.
  18. We should stick with Dyer and Martins up top for the next few games. Both played well today as did Given
