Holy moly..they were brilliant, listen to the Bass! The Sweet-turn it down
-
i saw them in 1992 at the Birmingham NEC. ('The snake Pit tour') It was an unbelievable concert...we arrived and found our seats (not too bad) but just as we got there a guy from Metallicas road crew asked us if we'd like to go in the snake pit area to watch. He was just randomly picking people from the fans. We could not believe our luck!!! We had a Snake pit pass (which I cherish to this day) and were able to watch the band right on the stage area with room to move around. Lars threw water all over us several times and i got one of his drumsticks at the end. It was truely a fantastic day....all the way home we were still in shock I'd have loved to have seen them perform before Cliff Burton died though.

About Thin Lizzy...Had I seen this thread sooner they'd have been posted first!! Their influence on rock music has been immense. Some later Rock now.....I suppose this is labelled Desert Rock or Stoner Rock, but to me its just Rock! Queens of the Stone Age-Millionaire LIVE Queens of the Stone Age-Little sister LIVE Them Crooked Vultures-New Fang http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TAT8JzbakNA&feature=related To be honest I could fill this thread with just QOTSA, they are awesome! (I would have included Thin Lizzy's 'Don't believe a word' but someone has added that one already) Led Zep. Whole lotta love (a friend of mine saw them at Knebworth 79) Def Leppard performing 'Wasted' live in 1983, I'd have given ANYTHING to have seen them then with the awesome Steve Clark. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VM41vlpajjg

Yeah I watched that program in near disbelief! The girl who was trying to gain even more weight made a video of her boyfriend feeding her 4 litres of ice cream mixed with milk and cream via a tube until she was so full she was nearly sick She reckoned its when she gets to that point that she 'feels orgasmic' and then wants to get her brains fucked out!!

Whilst changing our bedroom around for the new furtniture i realised how old looking and dated our portable Tv was...so now that can go and I'm going to get this one, its pretty cheap at £109.99! http://www.play.com/...ck/Product.html We should have a thread entitled....'what do you WANT to buy!!' I really, really want this but i wont buy it, its just a trinket really but I soooo adore it. I've always wanted one, though I'd love an original old one, it would be worth a fortune though. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Beautiful-Planetarium-Brass-Orrery-Solar-System-Model-Tellurian?item=180837172005&cmd=ViewItem&_trksid=p5197.m7&_trkparms=algo%3DLVI%26itu%3DUCI%26otn%3D1%26po%3DLVI%26ps%3D63%26clkid%3D8548335650791984398

Right..where do I start?! I had an unexpected bonus arrive from work, so happy days! Bought a new solid pine chest for our bedroom, which looks really good now its all in and moved around. Bought hubby some chinos and a pair of shoes and gave my son alittle towards his new set of race car tyres. Bought an outfit and shoes for a wedding, but then had to get that anyway! Then hubby had a good week recently and gave me a pile of dosh to 'treat myself' to something I needed no persuading and bought a pair of sandals, 2 pairs of jeans and 4 new tops I'm not one for clothes shopping normally, infact i hate it! But that was a good day, I went alone and just strollled around, no pressure!

Only drink tea very rarely... if I am very thirsty and just fancy a cup out of the blue or if I'm ill. I love my coffee. I could drink it all day but limit myself to probably 4/5 mugs a day. I like filter coffee or Douwe Egberts. Inbetween that I drink water/Cranberry juice Most people at work seem to drink tea. But its always coffee if we go out for a meal!

Apparantely it's pretty hard to put out. i was watching it yesterday on TV when it arrived at Lands End. I think it was only on the 3rd torch bearer when a guy ran out from behind and got too close...I'm not sure if he meant any harm or was just trying to cut by to get in front for a photo, but he was unceremoniously mauled to the ground and pushed into the hedge by the bouncers....mind you....that might not be so very bad

eww that's me put right off my lunch

Despire still being quite poorly, I am going to make the effort to stroll down the road and see the Olympic Torch go by this afternoon (very near our house) it's not a sight i will ever get the chance to see in my lifetime again, so I feel I should go! I would have enjoyed watching the Champions league final last night but for the fact that The Radio 1 Festival was here in Torbay on Paignton green and all i could hear was BOOM BOOM BOOM And I'm in Torquay!! But because we are a Bay I suppose the noise echos around and we live high up so its all you could hear. I fecking hate radio 1 at the best of times!
