I agree with Cath for the most part. But my own experience of when my Dad was in hospital for 3 weeks with Pneumonia are not good and even worse the week leading up to his death I cant say he was ill treated or hurt in any way but the things I saw on this particular ward happened I think as a result of too few staff on duty, and several of the health care assistants showing they were either inexperienced, unprofessional or ignorant of the basic caring skills. Things such as curtains left open whilst dealing with patients, call bells not answered, elderly wandering alone who obviously shouldn't be, (on 4 occasions I went in to find my Dad bruised and cut from falls....yes it happens maybe once or twice but 4 times)? Please understand me I'm not criticising the staff, but the fact that there weren't enough of them around on a very busy large ward where the patients needed more attention and care than they could possibly give. Of course things go wrong. Vulnerable confused elderly need constant observing and there were not the staff available to do it. The most upsetting thing for me was mealtimes. I used to stay as much as I could to help my Dad with his food and drinks which the staff were glad of. But others weren't so lucky and often I saw the caterers bring food and later take it away almost untouched because no one had been around to assist with feeding. It really upset me and I did make a complaint. Again just not enough staff to have the time to sit with each patient for that amount of time and feed them. When my Dad was admitted a couple months later, he was on a different ward. The Staff were very pleasant but mistakes did happen whereby there was a mix up between what the Doctor had asked to be done and what the nurse thought he wanted...in the end it didn't matter as my Dad died after a week. I was sensible enough to realise that the mix up with his treatment ultimately made no difference to the end result. I wont go into it all- its still too painful, but there was a post mortem and 4 months later an inquest into his death. I dont mean to sound so negative, I know most of the time a brilliant job is done, but I do think some changes have to be made.

Used for branding the lady in your life. All the rage in Devon. OooooArrrrr Forgot to add they look very pretty when lit, I never have harsh lighting in the lounge at night. Just a small lamp and candles burning. Love the fragrances too. Though too much of the floral ones and hubby and son complain

Its a pot/ornament that you put a tealight candle into and a wax tart (A small round fragranced piece of wax) in the top, the tealight candle heats the wax tart up and it melts producing the fragrance that you'd chosen You can get all sorts, I love the coffee one especially. Smells like Costa coffee in here some days

How about the Moon on a stick? I'd have liked one of those I had some gorgeous flowers and a card. I bought hubby a card and a packet of cadburys cream eggs (we agree not to spend much) as he's been on a diet, so as he loves those it was a real treat. They seem to have shrunk though But what meant more to me today was I noticed that last night I must have knocked my tart burner and melted wax had spilt all over my much loved fire place and grate, I couldnt get it off. When I told hubby, he said no matter I will do it tonight when I get in, it will come off My hero

I love jewellery, though not a big fan of colourless stones. I prefer Aquamarine or Tanzanite. I have a beautiful white gold ring hubby bought me which has Aquamarine and Iolite stones. There is no way on earth I would want or let anyone spend thousands on a ring for me. I'd rather spend it on others things. My friend has a 8k diamond and is scared to wear it! What a waste of money. Still, each to their own.

Its not that Im unfriendly or unsociable but holiday time is valuable. To have to spend it making small talk to people in order to get to know them to see if you like them is a strain, I have to do small talk every day in my job, I go on holiday to relax from that!

'I love you cause I need to, not because I need you'

I tell you what if you lived here in Torquay where every Easter, Summer and half term you are besieged by Grockles, the last thing you'd want on holiday is more of them I dont mind being polite and having a drink but basically I dont go on holiday to socialise with strangers.

Glad to see the healthy eating is going well for you. It can be a healthy meal if you use Creme Freche instead of cream.

This. It's last years Renault team re-branded. It's confusing because there will be two teams running under a 'Lotus' name this season, Team Lotus (the Green, white & yellow one from last season) and Lotus Racing (last years Renault team in Black & gold). Craig or Bev might be able to correct me, but I think Team Lotus bought the naming rights from the Chapman family (heirs of Colin Chapman, the founder) & their business partners, whilst Renault bought the name from Proton who now own Lotus Cars (the road cars division). Yep spot on, well thats as I understand it. Of course The 'Chapman Lotus' is racing Lotus whereas the Proton Lotus name is the road car. So to me Team Lotus have more right to the name.

I dont think we'd want him here at Torquay United!

Unbelievable But if this is the guy that played for Ipswich he was getting past his best when they got rid of him!
