  1. I'd go for October too, my favorite season too.
  2. Aw come on you lot, aren't you all being a little harsh on CT?? He's barely obese at 14 stone for a man is he? And in whatever way he does it, he is trying to achieve a healthier lifestyle. People keep saying overeating isnt an addiction, but it can be. With smoking you can completely cut it out of your life, but we all need to eat. I gave up smoking with no help, I just stopped and found it easier than I expected. But I find it harder to lose weight!
  3. Got slow cooker on by 10am, bit of a gamble but added all sorts. Off to bed now, I'm liking this! No cooking to do when I get up later!
  4. Ok but nothing compared to Queens!!!
  5. haha aye been getting in the mood for the gig early I've listened to loads of Queens lately, the more I listen the better they sound!!! Vastly underated. OOpps back to cooking!!
  6. Loving your Last Fm list Ant
  7. Thats more or less how I've always done them anyway Sometimes if its a really big potato I give it 5-7 mins in the microwave first. Recently we've had a couple jackets done all the way in the microwave (due to no cooker at the mo) and they have been very poor I'm pleased to report that the beef and red wine stew done in the slow cooker all day was incredibly tasty The good thing about it is my son's has eaten his and the rest can be left on low without it spoiling ready for when hubby gets back from Hospital later. I have to sleep most of the day tomorrow, so before I go to bed I will pop in some diced chicken, cubed potato, spring onions, peas, mushrooms, chicken stock, herbs, mustard and white wine and leave it on low for the whole day, brilliant!
  8. He should try that Cypriot Red. Or maybe he has Let it go Alex Honestly it was scrummy
  9. Mmmmmmm Thank you Bianca ( I'm normally only called Beverley when I'm in trouble)! Hey, well done for putting the third 'e' Most people annoying leave that out. I will have a look on that site. I don't know what today's meal will turn out like as ideally I should I have browned the meat first, but couldn't as I have no cooker
  10. My cooker blew up over a week ago, I've ordered a new one but it won't arrive until next Tuesday. We're now sick of Microwave meals, soup and bread and fish and chips! We've eaten out twice and will do again on Saturday and probably have a chinese on Friday night. Yesterday I suddenly remembered the existence of a slow cooker in the back of a cupboard!! I bought it about 6 years ago, its never been out of the box. I saw it on offer and snapped it up, put it away and that was it! So I've found a good site with helpful hints and tips for slow cooking with some tasty sounding recipes. I've got a beef in red wine and veggies cooking now. But I'm a complete novice with slow cookers so if any of you have any good recipes or your own tips for me I'd appreciate it!
  11. I like Red Wine and lately enjoy the odd glass of Rose. I try to get hubby to drink it sometimes but he says it all tastes of vinegar to him
  12. What a load of bollocks this is. Can't the EU see that womens insurance is cheaper based on complex risk assessment calculations and not on sexism? The facts are simple: young lads are much more likely to have a big crash than their female counterparts, so they should pay more because they represent a greater risk. What's next? Will they argue that's it's unfair to judge you on your age / address / occupation and we'll all pay the same? Insurance is essentially legalised discrimination. Doesn't seem fair to penalise a sensible 20 year old lad because a minority of his peers drive like complete dickheads. Problem is identifying the dick heads I guess. I agree entirely. It is unfair that my son who has driven for 7 years with no accidents, has to pay more then a female with exactly the same history. And the same for any age male, he would still have to pay more than his female counterpart, it is wrong. It's not unfair if he's more likely to have an accident in his 8th year* and she's more likely to have another 50 years of accident free driving though. Purely from a risk assessment (ie insurers) point of view That's not to say I feel particularly strongly about it one way or another. I readily accept there could be more personalised ways of doing the risk assessment that are less sexually discriminative, but equally they'd probably push the premium up too because they'd be more labour intensive. It's a form of sexism that is a fact of life and is not malicious. There are worse examples at the end of the day. *really sorry about the example (it was just that it had to follow on from yours to make the point) and obviously I hope he has a lifetime's accident free driving!! Thank you sweetie! So do I! Hey I just thought, bet Shiela's wheels arent happy

  14. I know some Brummies and when I have to spend any time in their presence I feel really miserable, its always the same!
  15. Familiar theme here like. Rape, physical abuse of women, comments, racial abuse. It points to one thing "wrongun". I refuse to believe he's a spanner. READ HIS TWEETS to understand the difference between wrongun and spanner. http://twitter.com/paulwyn42NUFC I am not interested enough! Life is way too short for that!

  17. Exactly! Well you're the one who said he looked special! Yes. And IF I'm wrong then Paul will naturally be upset! Look, Im entitled to my own opinion and I'm sticking to it.
  18. Not so at all. I have worked with several people who have learning difficulties who also have part time jobs and live in their own homes too. Like I say I'm not convinced he's autistic. I'm sure he's not. He's manipulative but in a very basic manner. Im not saying he's autistic, Im just saying to me it looks as if Paul has some sort of learning disability. Im not saying anymore on this anyway, one- incase Im very wrong and two- because I dont want to add to this thread any longer when its obviously gone far enough.
