  3. Yeah I knew you could play a tune on it Snakey thats why I thought it was good and mentioned it! You can record and play back too!
  4. The Google logo is good today, its a guitar to mark Les Paul's 96th anniversary.
  5. Because women are all Cun.... just kidding B*$"^*!
  6. Exactly right! In the appropriate context swearing is much more acceptable!
  7. I'm with Cath as in I hate the C word too LM's post made me realise how few females they are on here, I wonder why that is?
  8. More than likely just a normal floater, caused by bits of debris (dead cells etc.) floating around in the vitreous ( the jelly inside your eye). Not a great deal you can do about them and certainly nothing to worry about. If there are lots of them and they came on suddenly it could be a vitreous detachment, your optician would need to dilate your pupils to have a proper look at that. Again, nothing too major. If you've experienced flashing lights or 'cobwebs' in your vision it could be a retinal detachment. This is the least likely but most serious option. Needs seeing to sharpish (ie this afternoon) if that's the case. In theory you should get just as good a test at specsavers as you do anywhere else. However, due to time pressures they might not do a dilation or a visual field test that an independant optom might. Yeah my friend had that too aswell as the floaters, and she said it was like her vision was cloudy like a veil had come down over her eye. Thank god she went when she did.
  9. Well you're right LM I don't swear very often, either on here or in 'real life' I normally only swear if I'm really incensed about something or if I hurt myself. I hate those people who have to put fuck or fucking in every sentence...all it does it make them sound ignorant and thick. And imo is especially worse to hear from a woman. I don't mean the odd word here, I mean when its used every other word. My hubby and son swear at times, of course they do and it doesnt bother me at all. But its when you hear it shouted in the street or when its inappropriate like to an elderly person, that it sounds awful.
  10. They arent floaters then are they, cuntwhistle? The ones Alex described ARE floaters too. Sometimes they are more visible when looking at plain white or one colour backgrounds- like skies. They can be all sorts of shapes and sizes. Its just debris that gets stuck in the vitrieous fluid thats in your eye.
  11. Yes I did mean tears as in rips , not 'tears' that you cry! I thought Bianca had read that wrong, but couldn't believe he'd be that dim!! :D
  12. A good cry does you good now and then Anyhow Bianca, go to a decent opticians... not crappy specsavers!
  13. Bianca, I don't know if you're being serious or its some sort of in joke thing that I'm not aware of. But my best friend had floaters for awhile, kept ignoring them. They are normally nothing serious. But hers wouldn't go away so she went to the opticians who then sent her to the docs who also had a look then sent her to hospital.....thank god they did as she had to have laser treatment right there and then as she had tears in her retina. They keep a regular check on her now. She's had to have two more laser sessions on that eye. And months later she had the same happen with the other eye. Scary stuff. Bevmeister. I'm serious, this weird thing in my vision that looks exactly like the picture they have on the wikipedia article for floaters. I've got an appointment this weekend - its unlikely that its tears cos i had my tear ducts removed at birth as I have no use for them. Eh? Please explain that Bianca sweetie!
  14. Sorry, B, but you're getting a for that. Why should he not choose that name?? It's as good/bad as any other imo. Notwithstanding the above, can I suggest Tony Blair as CT's possible name change? Sorry Snakey lovey, but I stick to my guns....'Christmas Tree' is an object not a name! Isn't it the name of an object? Well yes of course But you know what I mean alex, don't be pedantic!! It like calling yourself Curtain Rail or Recliner chair !!!!!!

  17. I was sat in a restaurant and got hit on the back of the head by a prawn cocktail. I looked round and this bloke shouts, 'That's just for starters!' Someone broke into my house last night and stole my dictionary and scrabble game. I'm lost for words
  18. I'm not posting in this thread to join in with the CT bashing or bullying. But to say, seriously CT I think you should change your name because 'Christmas Tree' is a daft name! Why?!
  19. Christ! He nearly cleared the car though!! Well I have booked the tickets for the Senna film. At the moment its only scheduled for one night here in our Torbay Apollo, June 21st. So I thought I'd book in advance!
  20. My mum used to date Andy Scott out of Sweet. That's a true fact. Blimey! Well he had a fab voice and sang quite a few Sweet songs. He was gorgeous too back then! Lucky mum!! Certainly Queen, Motley Crue and DL were influenced by The Sweet. (Their own heavier songs, not the Chin/Chapman Glam rock stuff so much) And as many people have said this must be one of the earliest speed metal sounding tracks EVER!!!
  21. Perhaps its people's hobbies/leisure activities that are more interesting than their jobs?
  22. I'll have to get my Dream book out!
  23. phew its way too hot for me I hate the heat, I'm going to buy a fan tomorrow. If its this hot again tomorrow, I might nip down the beach in the evening for a dip.
