Now that makes me want to fit in a trip up there before christmas Love shopping there......but when the kids go back and hopefully before they break up for christmas !!

I think his problem is he's hasn't got a physical presence or much pace. You have to be pretty exceptional to play upfront in the PL without either of those assets. 49076 He definitely needs to be sent out on loan again i think, Torquay united please
-
Does he love animals? You could sponser one for him at your local zoo. Then have a trip there on his birthday to see it. How about a 'gadgety' gift? I love buying pressies from the gadget shop as its something a bit different. So much to choose from, clocks, games, puzzles, unusual lighting, radio controlled cars. all sorts!! Does he like spanish/italian football? how about getting a pair of tickets to a game (really cheap) and booking a cheap flight and taking him over?

ah yes lou, but i can guarantee you, i'd be the one looking a right idiot with my brolley blown inside out and passer bys in cars laughing at me
-
I'd probably go for an old shape MR2 in black please, or maybe a Golf, they hold their price though, but i rekon if i went up to the auction, 8k could get a decent one.

Well its certainly not sunny Torquay today Poured down all day. Mind you, it never gets as cold as Newcastle, i freeze my **** off when i come up there its a real shock to the system How those guys go shirtless at nufc games is beyond me

At the risk of being accused (by some!) of two-timing Toonraider , you are more than welcome to join me out here . Shorts and tee shirt weather, all of the time; just what my body needs . 48016 Im mortally wounded snakey, how could you?? :nufc:

Its not November yet, but here in Torquay the shops already have their crimbo decs up, i hate being reminded of it all so soon I refuse to buy any cards and pressies yet, i love christmas but this spoils it for me, way too early. I remember a couple years back coming up to Newcastle in early December and managing to do some pressie shopping at the Metro, it was so christmassy and festive...and i felt in the spirit for it then, hope they havent put the decs up there yet too.

Good God! Is that for real?

Nope. It simply says that there have been numerous articles wondering why there have been so few black managers. Gullit got a fair crack up here I thought. Flys in the face of what I say but he had a charisma when he came that evaporated when he arsed up. That has nowt to do with race. My question remains the same. GENERALLY are black players given a fair and EQUAL crack of the whip from fans? I am not convinced. The black manager issue is just another way of saying that black people in football have more to prove. They find it more difficult. 48837 Well this thread has certainly gone off in all directions! Have to mention Leroy Rosenior here, hes our manager at Torquay united. And he's black. He got the job on merit because our chairman felt he was right for the job. Admittedly we're not doing well this season, but we will never forget he took us up to league one and gave us so many memories to cherish on the way. Leroy has our respect and we always sing his name at the end of a match, even now while we're struggling. Leroy being black is never and has never been an issue here, infact, Torquay have in recent years had a high percentage of black players (before leroy's time) this is quite unusual when you think there are so few black people living down here in Devon. The vast majority of tufc fans are white, yet we never have a racist problem here. i think once i heard some idiot call out a name and he was very quickly removed by stewards and fans i might add. I really believe people can make a problem where there isnt one, often by giving these racist morons the attention they crave.

Happy Birthday PP

yeah saw this, but havent we already done this? socca something or other? the winner gets a year's contract with NUFC?? Did i dream this? Im sure i read about it on nufc.co.uk And Beardsley was one of the judges to pick the overall winner. Has this been televised yet does anyone know? Knowing me ive missed it completely

i knew right away what bez was implying, its so inconceivable that i chose to ignore it and put one of the real reasons

One of the best, if not the best games ive seen him play for us (admittedly i only saw the match on tv) after a sluggish start, he really got into it, the goals obviously gave him confidence but i was pleased to see his effort and aggression....he even tackled!!! Gotta say it.....WHY cant he always give 100% like that? He's so frustrating
-
Is that because they take out all their misery on message boards and then walk out the front door with a happy face? 48180 possibly Though i rekon if i came up now there would be a few more miserable faces than usual
-
I have to say whenever ive come up to Newcastle i have always found everyone to be polite, helpful and friendly.
-
Buy him a piece of the moon, its certainly special My hubby is easy to buy for, all he ever wants is new race tyres for his hot rod
-
We need to see a piccy of this lady so we can judge......or do we? beauty is in the eye of the beholder and if she does it for you then who are we to judge?
-
well im sorry but any survey taking into account the people of Exeter is not going to compare favourably with anywhere else! FIX!!! They should have tested Torquay A much more politer, friendly place
-
Congrats to you all craig, we'll be seeing you on here at all odd times of the night now

Aye, the game in which Owen got a twinge was supposedly for the first team to get used to playing with Nobby and Emre. He may start against the Mackems apparently. 47562 Really? what a match to make your return to nufc in! It could be a glorious comeback 47563 Limping off injured after 29 minutes. There's a prediction for you. 47567 ohhh dont even say that Gol cos the way things are going lately, you are probably right
