Och, no. I'm new here. Just winding down after a long day packing boxes and speaking to Pickfords. Its nice to find a proper NUFC forum with proper posters. 63571 Hmmm! you remind me of someone from skunkers

Why thank you my dear, you're not so bad yourself. You may be seeing more of me on here, I'm expecting to have quite a bit more free time on my hands fairly shortly. 63552 Do we know you from another forum/username by any chance?

Seriously, one plus has to be Shay's attitude and spirit. Again i marvelled at how lucky we are to have him and why on earth does he stay? Thank god he does!

You're absolutely right. He's my hero too, and I'm already starting to not like him after his performances this season. If he fails as a manager (which he will, seeing that we're Newcastle) then he'll no doubt lose his legend status, and I'd hate for that to happen. 63267 Exactly He's too 'close' too involved at the moment. He needs time out, time away from NUFC when he hangs up his boots. I'd much prefer him to take a coaching role somewhere and work his way up.... Then he can return to us in a few years time much more prepared for the task.... then hopefully it will work out, at least he'd be better prepared with the skills and experience to take the job on. I mean in any other career, would a top management role be given to a complete novice? NO of course not. I dont want him or us to go through what im sure will go predictably, horribly wrong 63278 I don't see Shearer as the type to start at a lowly club though. I think if he wants to be a manager, he'll want to be straight in the big-time. 63282 Possibly, but i dont necessarily mean conference or a league 2 club....perhaps a championship side or even scottish? Though i wouldnt mind the sight of seeing BigAl in the Torquay united dug out every week

Playing Devil's advocate for a second, Dalglish did alright in similarish circumstances. 63283 yeah and you could say stuart pearce is too.......but think how many more clubs have been tempted to do this and got it wrong? Not that i care about other clubs, all i care about is whats right for us and BigAl right now. Im starting to feel sick at the very thought of it.

Im sorry, but having problems here trying to put your Harold Bishop image to match with your fully loaded weapon snakey!! And i just can't do it!!!

I want GS out, infact i never wanted him 'in' He's an average manager at best , nothing special with practically no man management skills. always thought it and i'll never change my mind. But do we really want Shearer to take over yet? I adore Shearer, he's a legend, infact, my absolute hero and because of this i dont want him to take over such a massive job with no real experience....i cant bear to think of the consequences if it all went wrong So though my heart would love to see BigAl at the helm my head says no, not yet.

The positives? errm let me think....... Ahh yes i know, the match was on a wednesday night which meant i had to leave home before the final whistle!!

aw sorry to get your hopes up snakey! May i ask what the problem is with your old 'member' though? Is it faulty or just past its best?

Spongebob. Why dont just join a league and do online racing? Get yourself a wheel and a game and away you go! Endless choice of games to choose from such as RFactor, nascar, F1, touring cars, GT cars, you can join a league for it, race against each other and even design your own cars. Its quite serious business if you want it to be!
