Well....i worked all night so went to bed today, got up and rushed to my hairdressers...and missed all this Fanbloodytastic....about time too, never wanted him in charge in the first place...good riddance GS. Thats both my teams managerless in a week.. two very different reactions for me though, gutted to see Leroy Rosenoir leave...will always hold him in the greatest respect and i know he'll always get a warm welcome at TUFC....but GS? i'd like to stick a rocket up his arse and send him off even sooner

wigan have plenty of money havent they? actually i like wigan. I admire their obvious team spirit and resolve, even though it pisses me off so much cos we dont show any evidence of that 85954 If you think he's getting anything like the wages we pay here you're wrong. I'm not saying he's coming here or anything, but if we were to go in for him he'd be tempted by the wages. 85960 then lets tempt him!! No, he's not really what we should be aspiring to, BUT, he could do a far better job than what we have at the moment.

i know exactly what you mean....i get soooo frustrated watching him (and thats on TV) i want to run on, scream at him and give him a shake up!! He looks so half hearted all the time...yet he has obvious talent, if only he could have some go behind him!! But i dont think he'll ever change. OHHH im going to say it........ i wish we had Bellars

i was just thinking the same wacky! Why would he want to come to us? I like Roberts, admittedly i have a soft spot for him as i used to watch him play for us here at Torquay....very good player...have to agree with some of whats been said too, better and more consistent than Ameobi and Chopra put together. Plus he has the right attitude.... though a few weeks with us and no doubt he'd go into a decline!!

toonraider, what is it your husband races again?

No I'm not taking the mickey, after school I completed an apprenticeship in plant mechanics, heavy machinery/trucks/earthmoving equipment but it was more an opportunity to get a trade because the city I was living in was in recession. Since going back to university and ending up in television I specialise in producing motor racing/automotive productions and was very involved in producing rallying programs - hence the return to mechanics and building my own car (which is the same as the first Subaru Possum Bourne rallied in the late 80s). So no I'm not taking the piss - just frustrated at the moment because all I want to do is get the thing out of the garage and I though you might have a word of wisdom. As for hill climbs being boring, well it is a low cost but competitive motor sport and the events here are quite challenging, more like a tarmac rally stage up a hill. 85928 hillclimbing is very popular down here, our mate hillclimbs what was originally a 1966 johnny walker special it had a fireblade engine in it. He loved it! He used to sit on the line waiting for the go with a complete look of fear on his face, but it gave him such a blast!! The thing was so fast! Oddicombe hillclimb in torquay is very well known. Its so steep and twisty, you'll have to try it out! I wasnt putting your chosen sport down, i just find it boring to watch i guess, as its not really a spectator sport...but im sure its exciting for the driver and thrilling to race against the clock. I understand when you say about getting frustrated with trying to get your car sorted...there always seems to be more problems just when you think your're getting there. At the moment hubby (brian) is preparing the car for the start of our racing again in March...a overhaul and new braking system. Plus we've bought a new larger van for towing, so thats being rebuilt and turned into a camper. With the engines, Brian is so experienced, being a fully qualified motor bike mechanic by trade...he is so used to building large motor bikes engines over the years...theres nothing he doesnt know. What i've noticed is, he's very very thorough, very patient and meticulous (not to say fussy) when he's putting one together...He pays attention to every detail. He even knows whats wrong with an engine just by listening, he's normally right too! So i'd say take care, dont rush things and ask for advice if your're not too sure. Any specific problems, please PM me, i can always ask bri (though have to warn you, he hates subaru's, he says they sound so flat) !! Heres the racing we do. http://www.nationalhotrod.com/ -
it probably is...but we cant help our phobias and fears.

Hi sammy. Yes hubby races national hot rods on the larger ovals. Hednesford, Ipswich, Ringwood etc. Because its such an expensive sport its quite a struggle to keep up with the 'big boys' who have good sponsorship and/or 'daddys' who own large firms. Luckily if i say so myself, hubby is very clever and does everything himself. He designs his own cars, builds the chassis, makes moulds and from them makes his own panels from kevlar/fibre glass. He builds his own race engines, they cost around £10,000-£15,000 from Anderson (or a likewise engine suppplier) ready to go on the button..but by buying his own engine parts and building them himself ours has probably cost around £5,000 plus lots of time! Have to say his engines have always been pretty sweet and never had a problem, which is such a great smug feeling when you see the top guys break down with an engine blow up yet again We have been around hillclimbing, hubby helped a mate build a clio for that, though i gotta say...how boring is hillclimb!!? (sorry) but much prefer the fast, technical national hot rod racing! (supposed to be non contact, but its not)! Rallycross looks great though, you may have heard of Barry Squib (sp) (he lives just up the road from us) Have a feeling your're taking the mickey slightly out of me cos these things are expensive and surely you wouldnt tackle a race engine build unless you seriously knw what your're doing? Love subaru's by the way! Good luck with your racing! -
I think i've said on here before...i still havent plucked up the courage to fly I actually feel a panic attack coming on at the thought of it...its annoying as now i could fly to Newcastle from Exeter for a match.

I suppose you throw it in the bin like normal people would? But what did my son do??........ In total outrage at receiving such rubbish he threw it back through the letterbox as quickly as it came in so the poor guy who delivered saw it shoot back out onto the doormat! I know its daft but i felt so embarrassed for the man Mind you it was so funny
-
yep i was thinking that too I wasnt there though, but no doubt mansfield played their hearts out against us. Least Torquay had an away win today at Shrewsbury....and Paul Robinson scored!!

After he's spent a lot of the time talking it up. Going back on his word AGAIN I see. 85569 pitch looked absolutely fine Well, i know i was only watching on TV...but i was so downhearted watching that performance ( if you can call it that) Where was the passion? I saw NO desire or spirit, most of them didnt look like they gave a shit wether we go through to the next round or not. I tried not to, but as i watched the game i had an awful feeling of lethargy and a sort of acceptance sweep over me....this is dreadful, i expected us to be poor, i see no way out of it...really really miserable right now

My morning routine depends on which day of the week it is. Mon/wed/fri mornings. 7am alarm goes off, put it on snooze for ten mins or so. 7-10sh. By this time im late and having to rush which makes me even more miserable. (I do this all the time but never learn) Im not a morning person at all and really resent having to get up. wee/shower/brush teeth....try to find something to wear to work that doesnt need ironing. Make mysefl presentable. Hubby makes coffee ( icant eat breakfast this early) Rush to work, grumpy as hell tues/thurs mornings. Much nicer.... Get in from night shift at 8ish. wee/brush teeth/shower make coffee, often starving hungry after working all night so have cereal, porridge or croissants. Spend sometime online, whilst eating breakfast, untill i feel really tired. Get into bed...bliss Sat/sun mornings... No routine really, i get up when i wake up, which annoyingly is often early Why, when we can stay in bed do we wake up and not be able to go back to sleep, yet all week we'd die for an extra hour in bed??!! If we're doing a race meeting on a sat or sun, i could have to get up anytime from 5am onwards...which is a killer!

change is not always for the better..and theres no harm in being nostalgic and remembering how things were from time to time. 84882 You're right. To a Status Quo soundtrack, if at all possible. 84908 have to say i always despised them
