Music artists (and their voices) that are like fine wines.
Toonraider replied to Dolly Potter MD's topic in General Chat
pity angles was an awful album. one to keep Toonraider happy Wooo hooo One of the best front men around at the moment. The voice, brilliant guitar player, stage presence and all round cool guy! And of course you know in a thread like this I have to say Joe Elliott MY very favourite. Yes, the voice is a little tired now, he can't screech like he used to, but still a great rock voice. Loving his music he's done as the Down N Outz too. (Mott the Hoople songs) -
Oh god, awful. His poor son too Chap we know from racing lost his wife earlier this week to cancer. She was only early 40's. Must enjoy the life you've got and make the most of it.

Last I heard he was in prison Ironically years later after my father in law had retired as a police officer, he worked a civilian driver for the remand centre and several times had to take the piece of scum to and fro!

I had 5 huge spiders in here last week! They always come in to the warm in September. I bought some Spiderex repellent and sprayed it everywhere!! It has Horse chestnut oil and clove oil in... apparently spiders don't like that. Or a cheaper version would be to get some conkers and place them around the home. Once again, I'll be heading south to spread my conkers round TR's gaff. Bloody hurry up then cos I'm fast running out of Spider-Ex

Sorry to read your shocking news Craig Thank goodness you are both (physically) ok anyway. But you're right in thinking this may affect you both mentally for some time. Hubby and I were attacked many years ago (I was 16, he was 20) Got off our bike in town, took our helmets off and were immediately grabbed by 3 biker types, one with a sharpened claw instead of his left hand (well known nutter down here) Apparently he had some gripe with a friend of ours and saw us and decided to 'rough us up a bit' On seeing hubby being knocked to the ground I bashed one of them several times hard on his head with my helmet until he fell to the floor....mind when he got up and grabbed me and pushed me against a shop window I wasnt being so cocky This was the middle of the afternoon and people were just walking past staring. Luckily at that point a police car pulled up and they were hauled off. My hubby was well known to the police as his Dad was a local Bobby of a nearby area Later that weekend though whilst our bike was parked outside our friends house we heard a noise and saw the claw handed nutter hop onto his bike and chase off at speed. He had dented the petrol tank in on our bike with his claw Our bike was a stunning lowrider that hubby had built with artwork on the tank so we were gutted. Anyway though we had no further incidents we were both very jumpy for a long while. Hubby wouldnt let me go anywhere alone and tbh for ages I didnt want to.

I went very dark last year after being blonde for many years, but although I loved the colour it didnt suit me, made me look too pale. So now I'm back to a sort of blondey/bronze which I like. But yeah, you'll keep getting shocks every time you see yourself for a little while yet!

You can't ask people why they have or haven't donated!! That's completely out of order. Donating to charity is a private/personal thing. I'd already stated why I havent this time but that's my business. Its not all about just clicking a button on the internet either. At my work we give up our own free time running events to raise money for all sorts of good causes. Incidentally, I've noticed over the years that Gemmill is often one of the first to give to any cause. Look at Cath's Rias Rainbow thread for a start!

Complete wankers tbh. Probably funnier of you don't rate Metallica (which I don't, particularly). The bit I was on about, where they're on about binning the life coach and he's trying to convince them they need him is really funny imo. What a set of po-faced twats they are. I love Metallica, I've seen them. But I entirely agree it was so ridiculous it was funny. They need to get over themselves!! I love a good Documentary. Lately I've been tied to my PC watching endless music ones. Story of Metal. History of Led Zep. and so on, I can't get enough of them. MY favourite of the moment is the Senna one, sort of a Docu/movie.

Surely not? What about if you cross your legs or something? Reminds me of an episode of Friends i'm talking knee length shorts, not those skin tight 80s footballer efforts. no chance of anything popping out in those puppies. well, not with a todger as small as mine anyway Don't be so hard on yourself Puts Lynford to shame!!

Cheeky git!!! I will set our Butler on ya!!! Also it's well known you don't fly, so it really was a shit suggestion from CT. Yeah tis sadly true But you 'old school' lot know me better. I suppose we could drive to Spain...which funnily enough we may do next summer as our friend over there is opening a new race track! My favourite holiday ever was driving around Europe. Just take a lap top and book a couple of days at a time and see where it takes you (obviously with some overall plan or you could end up anywhere). Yeah that kind of appeals to me. But hubby gets stressed when he gets lost....which means I get it in the neck So it could end up a nightmare! And no I have my jammies on

Well I'm just glad I'm well off enough not to have to worry about Bills and to feel comfortable enough to buy something if I want it (within reason) without having to worry. That suits me fine! Of course if the Business goes tits up I could be on here in a year or so asking you lot to donate to Bev aid

Dear Lord, climb back into your hole of obscurity you miserable little specimen. (And once again Bev Im sure you know I have no knowledge or memory of your vacation preferences. No thats ok CT For future reference though...... I am too scared to fly I HATE the heat. And the thought of a package holiday sat around some pool at a hotel which could be anywhere does not appeal. I'd like to visit Switzerland or Iceland. Vastly interesting to me. OR Rome and Venice. OR even a cottage in North Wales or Scotland suits me fine! Now I'm going to bed, as you lot have raised my BP again

+1 Agreed. Doesnt seem right. It's ok, Deano won't have seen it That made me chuckle mind! I havent donated. I donated twice recently to the Breast cancer charity. Having recently lost a friend because of it Hubby and I regularly donate to St Johns and the air ambulance. I prefer to donate on an impulse if something moves me or some deep feeling makes me want to help. I don't want to donate in this instance using it as a means to have a go at Deano. Not bitching at those who have donated either. A good charity has gained. You dont have to justify giving ot not giving tbf, certainly not here. No I know I don't. But I didn't want you all to think I'm mean
