Always seems to me like Alonso isn't particularly popular. Alonso keeps himself to himself and therefore has this persona of not being very popular. Mind you, that's true of many of the great racers over the years, particularly in the 80s and 90s. I think he's perhaps the most respected amongst his peers at the moment. I dislike Alonso immensely but he'd be the one I'd happily race wheel to wheel with at the moment, he's tough but fair and you can see the others trust him. (on the track).

I always wear my woolie NUFC hat all winter at race meetings all over the country.

I have to agree. Hate the current hair styles for young men. I agree with ajax andy. Tell her she shouldnt be seeing anyone with her head like it is right now and you'll not take advantage of her present emotional vulnerability because you think of her as too good a friend to treat her like that.
