Everyone on the planet can stand on the Isle of Wight, but that doesn't mean the Isle of Wight (or the whole of the UK or the whole of the EU) can feed and provide a high standard of living to those people (never mind the environment and every other living thing). And we're going to get 3 Billion more people in the next 25-50 years, so even the Isle of Wight isn't big enough any more. When Rob W starts worrying about these things I'll take notice.

I'd suggest it was the over way round, but it's chicken and egg stuff. But if you really regard reducing child mortality as an unfortunate side effect of aid programs (this is what you said, right?), why don't you simply advocate the benefits of genocide instead? Except it's not, if you give a decent stand or living to the poor they don't instantly stop breeding (again look at immigrant birth rates in the UK, even 2nd and 3rd generation). Yet you can reduce poverty quite quickly by reducing birth rate (look at the places in Africa where it is being done, or even China for that matter). All the people living in the whole of Africa can fit into Texas. FACT.

Another day, another 9 "terrorists" released without charge

Tbf he has been continually right about these 'show trials'. How is trying to bring to justice people involved in killing over 50 people a show trial? Not this one in particular obviously and I don't even think Rob thinks this one is all made up. But over the course of the last few years there have been arrestst in the hundreds on very spurious evidence imo. And presumably they never went to trial, yes? I seem to have caught my leg in a bear trap. -
Solutions to all the worlds problems may be found in repeated viewings of 'The Lion King.'

I'm surprised there wasn't a stiff reprimand.

He's right in a way - in South America the poor keep having too many kids (with the blessing of the church of course) because of high child mortality and the need for providers. If you could do something about the basic poverty then you'd affect the over-population as well. Similar in most 'Third World' countries. It's self-perpetuating. Aye if you could reduce population growth in most poor countries their standards of living would rocket within a generation, it's like trying to climb up an escalator that is moving down, stop the escalator and suddenly you're progressing. To a large degree poverty is a symptom of run away population, and it does tend to feed back into itself. (Never mind though Rention. ) I'd say distribution of wealth rather than overpopulation is the main killer.

Well that and that they were with several of the 7/7 bombers (and were all close friends with several other 7/7 bombers and largely shared their ideology that the West must be destroyed and crushed under the heel of Islam) - apart from that. So it's not "ok" to blow up your own countrymen in your own country, but it is "ok" to go somewhere else and kill them? That is the most clueless post on 7/7 parading the internet. -

The explosive was from Bosnia. -
Like the first one. Simply can't have the luxury of wide players when teams stream throught our soft middle.

Love the way all the players bar the Barca keeper seemed camped in the Chelsea half for huge chunks of the game. Poetry.

The trials are becoming 'the terror'. -
I'd like to see Messi a bit more central and 10 yards futher forward.

That's why I kept it to three.

Even had a chance to rectify it and failed. Second meeting.

Thinking about it I'd replace Raylor with Smith.

We had 70% possesion in the first 25 min, we lost our chance to win it by not scoring during this period imo. Totally agree. It's no coincidence that this spell was whilst Enrique was on the pitch and making those overlapping runs with Duff. Duff was much improved last night I thought. I hope Enrique just tweaked it and it's just sore because we need him back. Him and Duff on the left look like they could work. Yup.

I just cant see it, I dont know why, I do try. As Alex says, I see the mazy runs that dont deliver, I havent seen him get back and tackle for a long time, He never whips a cross in and quite often when we lose the ball he just saunters around, just slow enough not to have to get too near the action. Hiding I think its called. Hopefully tho we may be lucky and make a few bob on him. Edit: Also doesnt score. Marca are saying the comp will be 5.2 Euro all together with half going to Velez.

Was it Lassanna Diarra SA wanted but he asked for 80k?
