Stevie has dabs on it. He gets my vote. Let the postcode lottery begin. Stevie is the only one I would gladly step aside for.

It suddenly all becomes clear......... Da big bad Fish was a catspaw in a Machiavellian scheme for total domination all along. :icon_lol: The man is a mere plaything or little more than a buffoon for my dark empire. And it will be fucking dark. No just bannings but gone missing type takeouts. I shall deliver vision without reason, love without fear, freedom without fuss...I shall make the discontent - contented and the disenfranchised small colourful badges they can wear with pride (2.99 for replacements).

The uniforms were too thin for the winter and the tanks started running out of oil...Otherwise Russia would be history.

One of your most pathetic posts yet. The cold largely beat the krauts on the Eastern front as much as the bravery of the Russians. If Germany and Britain attacked Russia at the beginning of the summer they'd have had the union jacks flying over the Kremlin, by the time Wimbledon started. As for America it was so weak, poorly armed and unprepared for war in 1939, and 41 when Pearl Harbour get done, it's accepted that if the Japs had've had a land invasion, they could've got as far as Chicago with meagre resistance. The UK aside from what we had, had an entire global empire to manipulate, it's astonishingly naive to think the krauts and us as a hypothetical force could not have taken these countries. What with our German royals I think it was closer than people realise. And yes patently if Germany didn't have 3 fronts they would have mullared Russia with or without us.

Steak chunks, fried red onion (with a dash of red wine vinegar when frying) with mustard in pitta bread. Monster. Spanish sausage, red pesto, mayo, a couple of rings of fresh onion, pickled chillis, mixed salad in Pitta. Egg and Bacon sarnie, white bread, loads of butter, ketchup and a hint of dijon.

The interesting thing in Bob Woodwards book about the 100 days after 9/11, is how immediate the drum started getting banged for going into Iraq. Within days of 9/11 with no links whatsoever provided, Cheyney and Rumsfeld were bringing it up as a strong recommendation in daily NSC meeting. What's impressive is how Bush refused to take that advice...for a while...until the CIA told him it was a "slam dunk" that Iraq had WMD. Many of Bush's foreign policy advisers- especially that toad Wolfowitz- had been banging on at him to settle things with Iraq since he arrived in 2000. Bit of an agenda there! Quite. 9/11 was just a convenient excuse and nobody asked the real questions as to why??

I've never been to Italy, so I'm really looking forward to it. 3 days in Milan, and then 2 days in Genoa. A little gutted as there's an Inter match on the 20th, which is when we've booked the hotel in Genoa. Tickets were going for £28 as well! I've managed to wangle a stadium tour though, even though it doesn't fit into her itinerary. I can't go to Milan without visiting the San Siro though ffs. Milan and Genoa are both good in different ways. If you are in Genova, try and get upto Porto Chervo.

Didn't I see an interview with Eto'o where he said he was getting a lot of stick??

Really good film. 9/10 Very unique and well thought through. Really enjoyed it too. It was almost disappointing when the action really got started, because up to then it had all been so perfectly real, then I was reminded of Red Matter with some of the more inexplicable stretches to move the story on ("I'm making a bomb!"?), but it was short lived and the later action was superb, really lived up to time dedicated to introducing the characters. Amazing effects too. Perfectly integrated CGI across the board. I've got a choice between this and Inglourious basterds on Friday. District 9 is receiving all the rave reviews but tbh the whole idea of it seems shite to me, alien refugees, wtf? Whereas the Tarantino film is receiving mixed reviews, but I've liked nearly everything else he's done. Which do you recommend? D9. You'll love it as you have a modicum of intelligence about you. -
