Scots are clueless. Would be wiped out if they had to join the Euro. It's a very over valued currency and it's a hard currency* (not floating like the pound) with strings attached from ECB and Mama Merkel. *The value of the Euro is being kept artificially high by QE and Bond buying by the ECB, it comes with the added benefit of destroying your ability to compete as the Southern Europeans have found out. That Italian washing machine went from costing 25% less than the German one to only a bit less once the Euro fed into the manufacturing costs chain and sale price. Can't devalue your way out either. Germany doesn't have to compete with China or the far east anymore it just wipes out the weaker EU economies and loads them up with loads of regulation and financial rules that suffocate them. No more Euro disco for them. Raging unemployment amongst the youth of Sothern Europe can't be fixed now because the rules stop those countries throwing money at it - borrowing too much against GDP or devaluing. Have a new fucking arts center instead you cunts!

The problem for the Labour Party and in some ways Corbyn (who is a Brexiter if you go by his past record) is that those who have identified themselves as 'left behind' or worried about mass immigration/jobs are the traditional Labour voters in the North/some coastal towns. The South which actually swung it was the leafy suburb Tories/Upwardly mobile for whom 'nationalism' - 'taking back control' were the core issues. This mix is almost impossible to manage with one coherent message...Labour didn't have the will or the ideation to craft the complex message with reg to remaining in the EU. The sheer density and vortex of the information pool overwhelmed the undecided who basically voted with their gut not having the relevant data to analyse. Can we survive outside the single market? Of course we can. It is one country that can do it with its historical international relationships of language, customs and old trading connections. Germany for instance in our position outside the EU and without the Euro would enter a far worse crisis with its exports suddenly (like they used to be) very expensive and over engineered. If those dopey federalists had given Cameron something to bring back with reg to immigration or Blair had taken the 7 year opt out on Eastern European immigration Brexit would never have happened. The EU simply won't compromise even as push back comes from Italy and France. The more there is resistance the more they come out with more Federalism ie Euro army and tax harmonization etc.. The Banks will get a deal anyway.

Trump and for that matter Milo and others are in denial about radical Islam if not in some ways casually and conveniently illiterate about the consequences of the historical Neo-Cons stated aims to destabilize and wipe out/remake most of it. In so far as these are also campaigns without end and warfare totally unsuited to the hi-tech distance warfare of the American and Western military. Nevertheless this adventurism fits the bill for the Military Industrial Security Complex as an ongoing lucrative venture. Order books and man power across the board from the core military right down to Homeland security suck dollars at high rates into the companies that facilitate the war and surveillance machine. America doesn't make any money from these ongoing interventions but the companies do. It's the quickest way of getting 'tax dollars' from the pot into the hands of the elite. Kristol, Kagan and the like are still behind the scenes agitating for more war...Wether you want to call it the Pinac (Project for a new American Century) doctrine or the Wolfowitz doctrine or the 'Make America Great Again' claptrap. This is a Catch 22 for Trump because during the campaign he railed against American interventions especially in Iraq and encouraged Russia to attack ISIS.

Gosh he's been a very strong critic of Pedos in the past. I very much doubt he was condoning it. First Trump and his own version of 'Piss Christ' and now Milo and his Oscar Wilde moment. Bet the Democrats are seething. There never really was a book deal he always goes on about that. Bill Maher laughing at Ruby Ridge (kid getting his arm shot off while running away) and the dog sprayed with M16 fire is where all this lark started.

Yup. His delivery and sensitive eyes capture the role brilliantly.

At some point Brighton are bound to have a bad run of 3/4 games.

The Crown on Netflix is very good and quite moving in parts.

As I noted in the Trump thread Ruby Ridge was the start of it all.

You've become really unpleasant lately. Cheer up fella. It's just a bit of banter on a football site after all. They say the back and its myriad of afflictions is closely connected to frustration and insecurity. -
Need a nice solid win to get things going for the next few games.

The survey finds that 24 percent of the scientist respondents fit the “Nature Is Overwhelming” model. "In their diagnostic framing, they believe that changes to the climate are natural, normal cycles of the Earth.” Moreover, “they strongly disagree that climate change poses any significant public risk and see no impact on their personal lives.” It's a survey it don't matter if it's in Hello magazine does it? The tide is turning Renty. -

Terse. It's been 30 years now. It's got a tiny bit hotter and it will get cooler again. Then what? They've already admitted the alarmist predictions of the 90's hasn't happened. It's why they had to change the name to Climate change. -

''But far more reliable and relevant is the satellite data on atmospheric temperatures, which is not distorted by the location, coverage, and surrounding activities of land-based weather stations (highly unreliable outside the U.S. and Europe). The satellite data starts in 1979 and shows no increase in global temperature trends until 1998, when the El Niño that year caused a sharp temperature spike. The most recent temperature declines have now apparently completely offset that 1998 increase, leaving the satellite record with no net increase in global temperature for the past 30 years—or maybe even a slight decline.''
