I know that and I know what point you were making. I was just saying I agree, in the main, when it comes to Israel. You all agree when it comes to Israel and when the wider diaspora criticise their fellow Jews and get labelled anti-semitic somehow you ignore it. Israel is carrying out a pan-specific idelogical war that is being fought from Washington to London and often the argument boils down to them being victims. I don't think it's a coincidence. If I talked in dry terms about Israel and use mega links and facts noone of you cunts would read the posts......

Good point. Oi!!!

Tell me why I have to be "oh so careful" when discussing the dead sea wallahs?

He may well be right though. Verging on anti-semitic though. I love Jews me. Well, the secular New York comedian type anyway. You see that's a very good example of how they want you to think. Thought of applying to the ADL? I love Woody Allen as well. And that's a very good example of why I think you're anti-Semitic When you say "that's what they want you to think" it infers a concerted Machiavellian effort, malevolent in intent and deceitful in design. I'm sure there have been horrific crimes committed in their name, but isn't that true of most large groups? YOu can think what you like, and it wouldn't bother me if you did, there is nothing I can do to allay that claim...As Finkelstien (a tough critic of Israel and a Jew) observes the Jewish lobbies around the world use it as a blanket term to suppress criticism of the state of Israel. Is isn't a large group btw but massively over influential for its size (the Jewish lobby in Washington) is why Obama has to make nice with Israel the whole time instead of having some balls and telling them to stop breaking human rights laws and carrying out essentially ethnic cleansing in the lands they control. You should have a look at the doc that HF gives a link to in the "Jews at it again" thread. I am aware I skirt close to the edge on the topic of Israel, but I do that on all topics on here where I have a historical stake ie healthcare, socialism, America, UFO's etc. I wouldn't bother posting otherwise. Yes I do make up things sometimes...

I'll hold my hands up to that one. I'll pick on the Saudi's for a few days to even things up.

Green with envy here. Does the 380 have a proper bar you can walk to if you're business class? I would love, just the once, not to be cramped in cattle class with some twat reclining in front of me for 10 hours. Best transatlantic I've had was with American Airlines on a 777. A lot of leg room even in economy. Think you were only allowed two drinks though! At the end of the upstairs cabin, there was a huge staircase going down to Premier class (9 beds with a Rob W per passenger). Just next to the staircase, was an open space with a big round sofa/bench thing. They served you drinks there directly. Not a bar but the internal specs are different for each airline, apparently the Singapore Airline 380s are the plushest. In flight entertainment on a 20 inch screen with OSX powering it. Camera on the tail fin in HD for take off and landing. It's a beautiful plane. My Turkish mate Ugur was one of the chief designers.

Last night it was all Staro on tap. Beautiful lager.

Israel mainly rather than Jews as such.

Though you're right about their history, the Jewish state was founded by terrorism which it continues to use on a daily basis. All modern countries have exemptions from laws specifically designed for Jews. Don't try and hold them up as some kind of well integrated moral example. They can all do what they like in their own countries. Interesting foreign policy - So would you only have started on Hitler when he threatened the UK directly? No because Hitler's actions were massively wrong and a threat to our existence. As for countries who commit genocide well that's another debate, the 1.5m dead tsutsi's we stood back and did fuck all, same as the yanks. Thing is theres a valid argument over whether Israel is "their country". I think in general there should be a consensus to sort out problems around the world up to and including full scale "Iraqs" - its just a shame the UN never lived up to its ideals and responses are always so fragmented. I think Israel has the highest number of UN resolutions against it than any other country. Rogue state basically.

your insults do you no favours. As I said, you know nothing about me and aren't going to find out. My views are based on life experience and not by reading a book by an out of touch "intellectual" Have you ever actually met a Muslim? Even one? I'd say my experience of Muslims, Islam and Islamic society trumps yours, Leazes, by virtue of me being one and working, living, playing and just generally associating with probably thousands of them over my lifetime. I didn't need any books, "intellectual" or otherwise, to tell me your ridiculous views on an entire society of people are wrong. So unless you're about to tell me you're actually an Islamic scholar and world traveller (two l's just for you!) whose theories are backed by years of research and proof, I'm holding to the view of "you don't know what you're talking about." Getting back to the OP, the ironic thing is that I don't even support burqas or really anything but the simplest of hijab. The burqa isn't part of Islam - in fact, and many people don't know this, when Muslims make the pilgrimage to Mecca, completing the most significant event in the religion, they are expressly forbidden to have their faces covered. Burqas and other restrictive coverings are born of two things that feed off each other - the remnants of tribal culture and civilisation, and the radicalisation of areas that still hold to those views. The reasoning goes "well, if Muslim women are meant to have their heads covered, and that's sunna (permitted and encouraged), then covering more of them must be even more sunna." Places like those have assigned low value to women for thousands of years, well before the advent of Islam, which changed little. I'm thoroughly against that kind of enslavement of women as most sensible people are. The trouble is that some honestly do choose - whether due to pressures familial or cultural, or a misguided desire to adhere to their religion faithfully - to wear such things, and I don't feel it's the state's right to dictate whether they can or not. And I also feel that if it were, let's say, Hindus or Jews that had to wear facial coverings as part of their religion rather than Muslims, then we wouldn't hear a word against it. Victims, singled out, wrong done to, unjustified intimidation, systematic persecution. All words and phrases used to describe scousers down the years, which quite clearly are also applicable for muslims too. You mention the fact if this were jews wearing the burqa nothing would be said. Forgetting about the holocaust all together, jewish people have been the most abused down trodden group mankind has ever known from biblical times onward, and a large reason for this is jealousy. There's 13m jews worldwide, there has never been a group of people who have been better at making money, that's why Hitler hated them so much. Most of the foundations of the world banking system have jewish roots. They are hated by many, a very small group of 13m people in a world of 6 billion, don't ever think muslims have had it harder than them. Jewish people don't go blowing themselves up, they don't go flying planes in to buildings, they don't have elements that want to emigrate to countries dictating their laws should be administered by the alien country (to them). Fucking muslims, you couldn't make the arrogance of them up. Man Utd and Liverpool are quickly finding out all about Jewish money men and their tricks. Also don't forget a there is a large anit-Zionist groups inside Israel who think the state needs to change its ways. They carried out terrorism against British sodiers btw and blew up hotels and whatnot: "Assassination of government official outside Palestine: first used against the British in Cairo, 6 November, 1944 when Lord Moyne, Secretary of State, was assassinated by the Stern Gang. Yitzhak Shamir, a member of the Irgun and later leader of the Stern Gang was behind the plan. Taking of hostages to put pressure on a government: first used against the British in Tel Aviv, 18 June, 1946. Blowing up government offices with their civilian employees and visitors: first used against the British in Jerusalem, 22 July, 1946. The toll was 91 Britons, and 46 injured in King David Hotel. Begin, who masterminded and carried out the attack admitted that the massacre was coordinated with and carried out under the instruction of the Haganah. Booby-trapped suitcase: first used against the British Embassy in Rome, 13 October, 1946. Booby-trapped car parked alongside buildings: first used against the British in Sarafand (east of Jaffa) on 5 December, 1946. Flogging of hostages: first used against the British in Tel Aviv, Natanya and Rishon, 29 December, 1946. Letter-bombs sent to politicians outside Palestine: first used against Britain when twenty letter-bombs were sent from Italy to London between 4 and 6 June, 1947. Murder of hostages as a reprisal for government actions: first used against the British in Natanya area on 29/30 July, 1947 and making a booby trap out of their bodies. The note left with the bodies read: "This is the sentence of the Irgun's High Command". Postal Parcel-bomb sent outside Palestine: first used against the British in London, 3 September, 1947."

Nice post but diasagree with you. Its is absolutely the state's right to dictate on this issue, as it is the state's right to impose Sharia law in a majority Islamic country. (the issues of state's rights boiled down simply to majority in this instance). France has a highly secular government and society, all religions are tolerated well but NONE are more important than the right of the Republic to uphold its secular roots. The French will let little or nothing fuck with their freedoms, I'll give them that.

Cause some mjuppet always says how America saved us etc...

The bloke I was reading about in the Guardian today said they were trying to gouge his eyes out. Quite painful apparently.

The ones who aren't jealous of this country, only aren't because of ignorance. As for us speaking Kraut we fought them on our own for 3 years, if we hadn't I'm not getting involved in a race issue, but I would guess black people like you wouldn't even exist now, so it's not just black Americans, or Americans it's black people worldwide who owe this country an untold debt from now till judgement day. This sums up the unbelievable degrees of ignorance in North America, they kicked your arses out, they???? Oh dear. Just oh dear. English kicking English arses? They Firstly America has no history or heritage, none. You could name any country in Europe they'd have a far richer heritage than them, they are like Hoffenheim, someone rich buys them from nothing and they tell people they'll sweep all before them, they have no history, and the bits I don't know about will be wank. America knows more about us than we know about them, that's a fact, I couldn't tell you 10 cities in North America, I could tell you 400 in Europe. They study our history, we don't study their's and I guarantee more yanks have visited Britain than English people have visited North America. It's a pathetic 57 variety continent of greed, when I think about them I can't tell you how grateful I am to have been born in this country. American history is basically a cavalcade of genocide from the native Americans through to Vietnam and now Iraq. If they aren't bombing or killing they aren't happy it seems.

Right, so the moniker, "do-gooder" bears zero connection to what you're trying to describe. Like calling a car "whip". I see doing good as most other people do, being kind to your fellow man, not breaking the laws of the land, finishing your greens and stuff like that. The people you seem to be describing are what I'd call Neanderthal xenophobes, racists, chavs, some of the boarding school crowd, some of the yolkels. But that's what I'd call them, not do-gooders you still haven't explained how being an intellectual is a bad thing by the by. The funny thing is, "do gooder" usually means someone's naive views are particularly impractical. On every issue it's the likes of Leazes and Stevie who's solution is completely impractical (ban free speech and certain items of clothing, send 2,000,000 British protesters to other countries, Nuke Israel, restrict international spelling conventions etc). Is that list in order?

The Guardian podcast I was listening too mentioned Pool played 3 centre backs, 3 full backs and 2 defensive midfielders against Stoke. Been saying it for ages he's too defensive.
-
If you stay too long you run into MaccyD's with a shotgun apparently. Best left alone AmeriKKKa.
-
America needs a fucking dictatorship...They must be sick to the back of their teeth explaining this shit to what are basically savages.
-
But see what it brought on us. We would probably be far better off if we had listened to the vast life experience of some Neanderthal. These left wing dooder Homo Sapiens are all brain washed and have a lack of understanding.
-
I wouldn't advise nuking Israel like, they'd be compelled to nuke us back. and they've probably got more bombs these days ...and their subs are German made.

I've been shocked by the criticism Obama has been under lately and the on-the-fly decsision making of those that could have made a difference by explaining things correctly to the wider populace. I realise now AMERICA CAN'T BE SAVED. It is on a collison course with history and the universe and those boys have yert to drop a set. Welcome to my world. I swear, the only reason I'm still here is my folks are old and won't move. God forbid, if anything happened to them, I'd be asking if any of y'all have a spare room to rent. To address a couple of questions being asked about my country and it's views on things... 1) The 40% tax revenue, defense spending, et al Most people in this country don't really realize how much their being taxed. There's tons of reasons for this (serpentine tax law, relatively low education levels, etc.), but it basically comes down to this point- if you ask a person how much money they make and how much taxes they pay, the first answer will be their salary before taxes (because that's how a business presents it to you, obviously) and the second will be a woefully low estimate. I remember arguing about healthcare with some people back in 2006 and used Canada's model as my basis of argument. One of the opponents said, "Yeah, but don't they pay like 40% or 50% in taxes?", to which I replied, "Motherfucker! You ever look at your (pay)check stub? Your recepit from the grocery store or whatever? I don't know about you, but I already pay well over 40% of my wages in tax- I might as well get free healthcare for my trouble!" 2) Criticism of Obama Right or wrong, when you run on a platform of change, some shit has to change. And as everyone knows, we're the most impatient country on earth. It's been a year and we're still in Iraq and Afghanistan, we still don't have national healtcare, our economy is still shit, and a lot of people are still out of work. Is it Obama's fault? Of course it isn't. Is he taking the blame for it nonetheless? Of course he is. The Bush Administration took over banks in the bailout and yet Fox News Channel and the Republicans can't stop refering to Obama as a socialist. Yes, I'm serious. 3) National healtcare There's a tremendous amount of money being pumped into scaring Americans into thinking the government will destroy healtcare if given the chance. I've personally had conversations here at work where otherwise seemingly rational people will tell me they don't think the government should run healtcare because they'll kill old people. It's mind boggling. I've also heard a co-work rail on about the subject of national healthcare then later mention that his grandson (whom he supports by the way, along with his own deadbeat kids) lost his silver tooth and was hoping the tooth fairy would leave him more of a reward. This kid, needless to say, on public aid programs and we, the taxpayers, paid for a 5 year-old to have a silver tooth put in. Don't know if y'all have run across it, but there have been people in this country speaking out against giving aid to Haiti; namely, Rush Limbaugh. Now, I'm not so much of an unsavvy stooge to realize that Limbaugh only spoke out against aiding the Haitians because it would generate a tremendous amount of media coverage for him and his goofy radio show, but the problem is, there are a lot of unsavvy stooges who listen to that show who now actually believe we shouldn't help Haiti. History and everything else aside, I don't see how anyone could read about the aftermath of the earthquakes and see the footage coming out of that country and not be moved in some way to help. Unsurprisingly though, the Limbaugh listeners and Pat Robertson's zealots are doing just that. If that isn't the definition of heartbreakingly sad, I don't know what is. There have been other events that really made me question the notion that this country could ever recover some of the spirit that once made it great- the bank bailouts and subsequent financial crisis, allowing media conglomerates to merge the outlets to control output of news, the war in Iraq, the two controversial Bush elections, the outright FUD regarding some form of nationalized healthcare, but for whatever reason, this whole Haiti thing really has gone a long way towards convincing me that we're just so far gone, there will be no recovery. All that other stuff you couldn't justify, but could at least rationalize as somebody being greedy, but speaking out against people who are trying to aid people who are the victims of a natural disaster of epic proportions is just evil. Will get back to this. A lot of the ills of 'the West' aren't actually ills of 'the West', they are ills of America, but they are packaged and sold as of all our making. They aren't. Europe really needs to de-link, - this is a child gone bad (America)....

As I suspected, very, very lucky Liverpool win, a second half dominated by Spurs, and Liverpool only created anything when Spurs were "throwing caution to the wind", not forgetting the perfectly good goal yids had disallowed, all very predictable, at least I profited from it, but not an occasion I where I've been proven right where I can look back on it with glee. Lucky horrible scummy bastards. But we are close, very close to the beginning of the end of these cunts. I can feel it.
