  1. Mrs P's dad is supporting Spain for ffs! I need to sit him down for another quiet chat I reckon.
  2. Me and MrsP had a massive row about that last night. The 'new' Germans are very cool about anthems and such, personally if you don't sing you shouldn't really be playing. I was on about what he said about the way England are playing. That's nowt Netzer has ruled England out already on German telly. Said Rooney was isolated and if we couldn't dominate Usa who could we beat type of comments... Did he pass comment on the quality of our sausages? Donner und blitzen! He's really funny though often tells presenters to hush or calm down when they ask him too many questions.

  5. Do you mean in NZ? The atmosphere's been very good, lots of hype in the media and for once the rugby taking a back seat. All the Kiwis I know are up for the match, I think the kick off is 11.30 pm our time so there'll be a few bleary eyes about tomorrow I reckon. The lovely thing is everyone's really excited even though they know the team is pretty crap. Apparently the last time they qualified (1982?) they didn't get a single point, so all they have to do is draw and they've exceeded expectations! Qualifying needs changing so more real footballing countries get to the finals.
  6. My problem is when I requested to play in the North East Sunday Premier League, with a cast 12 years ago I was told where to go due to safety reasons. It's got to hurt more if someone gets twatted in the face with his arm, it has to? If this was an England player FIFA would've said no, they all want us out this World Cup, and that stupid cunt Beckenbauer and his ridiculous comments sum it all up. I'd love us to get the krauts at some point. Remember Munich you robotic sausage munchin obese leather short wearing blonde cunts.
  7. He's no MVB. He was here the other day, delivered the big screen to sternchanze and set it all up an everything.
  8. The Bush one was the pipeline chat. Karzai was installed as he was an ex-oil man as well.
  9. Didn't Dubya have them at his ranch at some point too? Hallegedly, hallegedly. Yeah. All steak and chipped up.
  10. That's too acidic for brekkie mate (green tea).
  11. YOu tried fried yoghurt mate?
  12. 2 coffee's 2 fags 2 eggs (fried soft) on unbuttered toast and lashings of Miracle whip/Mayo/ mustard remoulade on the eggs. A recipie for disaster basically.
  13. Tru Dat. Lithium and gold are things very useful for shielding, missiles, and satellite/comp tech. Of course gold is always good.
  14. This. BERLIN—Germany's national soccer team has run into a dust-up over the refusal of some of its players to sing the country's national anthem—as if losing its captain to injury weeks before the World Cup wasn't bad enough. In recent warm-up games before the 2010 World Cup begins in South Africa next week, only a handful of Germany's ethnically diverse starting lineup have been singing, or at least lip-synching, as the national hymn, "The Song of the Germans"—a truncated version of the original that began "Deutsch land, Deutschland über alles"—plays before kickoff. Journal Community The lack of moving lips might have gone unnoticed by most Germans, who since World War II have remained largely dispassionate, and even shy, about most overtly patriotic gestures. That is, until German and World Cup soccer legend Franz Beckenbauer, otherwise affectionately known as "Der Kaiser"—"the emperor"—weighed in earlier this week with rousing disapproval. "All of them should sing the anthem," said Mr. Beckenbauer, 64 years old, who won World Cups as both a player and coach, during a videotaped call-in session Monday organized by the German tabloid Bild-Zeitung. "It can't be that the fans in the stands or watching at home sing along but those on the field don't."
  15. Attacked from all sides on NO and accussed of racism for bringing this up. The Germans are basically cheating.
  16. Why? Hes shouldn't have started the first game anyway. Hart is a better 'keeper and if all he lacks is experience, then surely these are the games where it's safe for him to gain it? Capello said he needs 2/3 days to think about it. Personally regardless of age I'd always start the better player.
  17. Sometimes the need to shuffle brings suprises. All good. Frosty etc.. as long as he leaves the jokers in the deck Did you see what I did there, eh? eh?..... Monkey magic I likes it.
  18. Apart from Cacau it's only Klose and Podolski who were born in Poland, which is Germany anyway every now and then... Good performance. Hopefully Özil and Cacau have learnt their lessons about diving. Referee was correct about most things, Cahill's red was a bit too harsh but you always deserve a red card if you field twats like Craig Moore or Lucas Neill. "Forwards: There are six forwards that will possibly be in uniform come June 13 when Germany takes on Australia. How many of these forwards are German born though? The answer is 3. That means that fifty-percent of the German front line goal scorers are not born in the country. Miroslav Klose and Lukas Podolski are both born in Poland and Cacau is Brazilian born. Midfielders: There are also six midfielders that most definitely be dawning the black, red and yellow come tournament time. The problem is that the birth places of the middle six do not represent theses colors. Like many other German Nationals, Piotr Trochowski was born in Poland and Marko Marin is a product of Yugoslavia. Defenders: Out of 8 defenders in the current line-up, all but one is German born. The loner is Andreas Beck, a 23 year old footballer that hails from the Soviet Union." Mmmm...

  20. Capello did it yesterday.
  21. The other thing is half this German side weren't born in Germany, shouldn't fifa be looking to tighten this kind of thing?
