we will never know. He spent a lot of man management time with Ginola though. Aye, we never will. Selling him when we did / replacing him with Taylor was a mistake, I don't deny that for one minute. It probably cost us PL survival, considering how close we were to going down. That said, he acted pretty deplorably in, more or less, manufacturing a move away, Kinnear's comments notwithstanding. So it's debatable as to how much difference he may have made if he'd been 'forced' to hang around. I just don't get why people rate him so much I suppose. Bad character, decent talent is what I'm saying I suppose and the former overshadows and hinders the latter. I did have time for him though because he did bring that frisson of excitement when he was in possession because he did have attacking ability, particularly dribbling, which you don't see that much. Also, left-peg, as you said. That pretty much covers my thoughts on him. He scored pretty high on the Optra Index last year iirc.

nufcblog seems to be a bloke who takes press snippets off the internet and then reports them as "scoops" on his website. He's probably sitting in his underpants and string vest working on another "exclusive" at this very minute. He's probably the fat bloke in Se7en.

http://www.footballfancast.com/2010/08/foo...United_Blogs%29 Good read. Armageddon is surely coming for one of the big PL clubs if the levels of debt aren't addressed.

I caught myself thinking what perhaps Luc Besson would have done with it, all stylized and shiny moments master that he is (but with a big heart)...Big Blue, Nikita, Leon. Even with all the film photoshopping in the world Inception is totally bereft of any kind of cinematic soul, it is just a blustering roller coaster of special effects and floating bodies and snowfields and iconic beaches and gargantuan imagined citiscapes and all that happens within these dry over used cinematic vuvuzelas is of little consequence. The idea that dreams are personal, emotional, hair triggered subconscious forms is completely lost within 20 min. Truth be told this is Nolan's 'The Last Airbender'. -
Rob's generation can get away with it apparently.

"The architect working for Cobb at the beginning of the movie (he’s played, all too briefly, by Lukas Haas) meets a bad end after installing the wrong kind of shag carpeting in an important dream. Perhaps these dreams need interior decorators, too, to prevent future faux pas, but let’s not get off-track." -

You are one of the few people I take seriously in the film thread. It really is poor and as you can see earlier in the thread I was too really looking forward to it. I gave it a 4 cause there are some good moments. Having seen A Prophet a few weeks ago and since watched it again, my expectations of late have been high. One carnal error in the writing is that if you want the audience to care about a guy and his family it might be worth showing the emotional bonds at the start of the film, so that the audience have soemthing to hold onto. The absense of which just makes what follows hollow and overworked, cause we don't really give a fuck about him and his 'wife' or whatever level of dream he is lost in after drinking what looks like a bottle of aftershave. My biggest issue as I said earlier is that the visuals are good, but the ideas and writing they carry are forced and vacous and there is little tension or mystery...Matrix is 100 time better. And all the women in it are cack as well. -

Just being honest. ...aaand what's with DeCaprio? This waddling motherfucker has mastered one look and it's "I'm quite concerned/worried/confused at what's happenning here, but how the fuck has this babyface cunt (people laughed in the cinema when he took a fairy flick punch at Damon in The Departed) built a career around that? How? I'll tell you how cause at one point for a period of about 5 years he looked quite pretty (not even in a Jude Law kind of way) but in a I'm still wearing nappies and use face cream on my ass kind of way. I think he was alright as Howard Hughes (but that's a makeup job - people always take old looking people more seriously on the screen) and was he in Revolutionary Road? If he was he was passable in that as well. Really man! Stop putting him in films till he's fifty and looks thirty. -

Inception 4/10 It's one of those concepts that looks good on paper, but after the first round of pretty explosions and a script that explains continously everything that is happenning and is going to happen (to the point you don't give a fuck about the characters - never mind their dreams), you give up after about an hour and try and get some kip. Utter pish. It's always a warning sign when the dir is the writer as well. Just nobody around to say no that's a bit repetitive ain't it guv!!? -
From the FT: China's CIC denies interest in Liverpool FC A spokesperson for China Investment Corp, the country’s main sovereign wealth fund, told the Financial Times they had never heard of a plan to buy Liverpool FC or of Kenneth Huang, the man widely reported to be fronting a Chinese bid to buy the English Premier League club.

I'm fully booked RMS Queen Mary 2 this month starting Monday mate. I work on a lot of cruise boats. Started of Butins performing after H from steps now I've hit the big time. BBC3 approached about a show but I want BBC1 mate so I rejected them. ...and they say the license fee is worth it.

I'll say the women love it and the men hate it. I'd rather speak scouse than Geordie. Geordie reminds of fat beer bloke with no top on shouting Wye Aye Man. Tesco the UKs biggest supermarket and the man in charge a scouser. Woooosh!

Does it though? I don't know his mind, but I'd be kicking down MA's doors on a regular basis asking for cash. We literally are 2/3 good players away from being a decent side which makes this close season the more frustrating.
-
Difficult to say anything good about any player that doesn't try in a game. Especially a frog. We had other 'frogs' who did that from time to time tbf.

I like how you did that you rascal.

Nor do I.

This deal is really bothering me, enless amounts of cash as they have.
-
It will be bought though due to circumstances. Basically the point I already made. Yeah but you tend to speak in Kaiser Soze. Just clearing it up for the knuckle draggers on here.
-
They don't get any say in it do they? Huang is supposed to be buying the debt from RBS....which would mean he can take the club in October when Hicks and that fail to pay it off. I would love it if that pair get fucked over. They are the type to hang on imo till they get some kind of deal. The Chinese have been selling shares in Morgan Stanley so they can russle up the cash apparently. Nearly a win win for Parky but not quite.
-
Always rated him as a resonable performer. Still imo more dangerous than Guti on the left.
-
...in the transfer market cause he is scared of MA and losing his job or does he really think we have enough on the table? Discuss.
