  1. He was hired to frighten away Sasquatch. Sasquatch was a highly rated DM at the time iirc...Moved later to SS Lazio.
  2. It leads the world in backstabbing training apparently. Like football training but with knives. Savvy?
  3. What's the exact nature of his extra-curricular bum attention?
  4. Might be Curbishley who imo is a tiny bit better than Pardew.
  5. Jol Hoddle Wilkins Beardo/Stone Pardew
  6. The only hope now is that if it seems Pardew is trusted (Llambias mate according to some) he might get some cash in Jan.
  7. Still grasping at the straw that on a ManC board a friend of Robbie Savage is certain it's Jol.
  8. Gemmill was right. *Puts Dutch phrasebook back in draw.
  9. I love Henda's little threads.
  10. If it turns out there was a plan in place, then it looks like Pardew. If there wasn't much of a plan then they might have talked to JOl on the offchance. He often says he wants to come back to the PL.
  11. Do you think the plan was in place before the sacking?
  12. "Where's the fukin plan Decca"?!111 *Looks on back of napkin.
  13. Think so. And he has been trying to talk to the Swedes for ages to get clarification.
  14. "Can everybody stop getting shot"........
  15. What does that prove in relation to the current situation? Got us automatic promotion by all accounts. Perhaps Ashley's not planning on appointing a replacement at all and saving money with some sort of players co-operative.
  16. You're a good lad and all that Parky, but that's pish. The performance at Arsenal was one of the most committed I've seen off a toon team ever. That's only 3/4 weeks ago. Oh I agree, the Arsenal game was a magnificent performance. But the players started doing silly things vis a vie the Blackburn, Bolton games. Think the WBA game we just our B team out. Don't really blame CH for that. Just to re-iterate he has done well under intense pressure from Cashley, limited money and a poor squad. Jonas has looked like he has been playing for a move lately, and just like the Dyer and Bowyer incident was indicative of over emphasis by the manager on confrontation which spilled itself too far, these small things are certainly an indication of things not being too happy behind the scenes. It still boils down to lack of quality in the end. Yup. I still think Nolan had a lot to do with it. [/Canofworms]

  18. Let's hope he doesn't get sent to America or somesuch nonsense.
  19. Think there were signs that the players had started to lose their way. The silly bans - Collo, Barton etc...The lack of interest from Guti...By any standard there have been some poor performances of late and I sensed a lack of commitment from some of the players. Just saying like.
  20. Oh yeah of course, but will it have been luck rather than judgement? ie was Jol actually lined up or is this just a lucky coincidence? If it is indeed Jol he would have been sounded out through Kelmsley or some other Spud wheeler dealer. Yeah cos they have a great relationship after sacking him I said that earlier in the (Jol) thread. Football is populated by many strained relationships, but like all business - contacts are contacts.

Think he left mutually so that will be fine.
  22. Been picking the side apparently.

  24. Dear me, nobody mentioned by the current regime. I know that, but I did. Therefore it highlights the fact that the current owner has now had 3 managers (plus various caretakers) and not one of them has been backed financially. In the case of Keegan this was the owner reneging on the promise made when he was given the job. If you can't see the relevance of that to how things will play out with any future boss then I'm wasting my time here. Arguably only one of them was ever going to be backed financially. I dont think you can completely rule out e.g. him bringing in Jol and signing Keane from Spurs, he brought in 4 decent players over the summer and handed out improved contracts to the performing players. None of which was predicted. It'll be Pardew now i've said that. Who comes in will be the ans. Wether it really is that Mash wants to go to the next level or it's just his ego again.
