I reckon Pardew has been telling him everything he wants to hear and backing Ashley's complaints about Hughton. Basically he'll have had his tongue up Ashley's arse for months. yup pretty much what i was getting at, humping the legs of those two in whatever bar/casino they happened to meet up in. (inbetween trying to get some players wife of course) You make it sound like Ashley is Jack, an innocent but slightly simple chap taken in by the conniving genius of Pardew the con artist going about selling magic beans to unsuspecting millionaires. Whoever did the chasing, all Pardew's done is jump at an opportunity to get back in the game. He owed Newcastle nothing and he owed Hughton nothing. Ashley did though, and he's fucked us over...again. If only he was a conniving genius, they tend to make good managers.

    I haven't heard the Barton/Guthrie stuff but I assume the Hugton falling out with Nolan stuff was made up by the club to weaken his position as it seemed to start when speculation about his job did. I've heard from 2/3 different people Nolan wanted a return to the 4411. Can't vouch for it 100% but can see some truth in it. Still no reason to sack your manager. If Stevie/jacqui Oately etc (add to that Ashleys reluctance to give Chris a new contact) indicates this has been in the pipeline for months. Oh yeah totally. The worse case scenario is that Mashley has been playing FM.

    The ITK posts on NO btw and has been talking about Pardew for a number of weeks. Stevie might have been on it a bit earlier than that mind. Not sure about the timelines.
