  1. Bill Gates wants to register all new babies on the planet for vaccines by David Gutierrez, staff writer (NaturalNews) Bill Gates is promoting a plan to use wireless technology to register every newborn on the planet in a vaccine database. In a keynote address to the mHealth Summit, which focuses on using mobile technology to improve health care, Gates said that improving survival rates among children under the age of 5 would benefit not just individual families, but societies and the planet as a whole. "The key thing, the most important fact that people should know and make sure other people know: As you save children under 5, that is the thing that reduces population growth," he said. "That sounds paradoxical. The fact is that within a decade of improving health outcomes, parents decide to have less children." The number of children who die before their fifth birthday has already dropped from 20 million in 1960 to 8.5 million today, a statistic Gates attributes mostly to vaccination. "About one-third [of that improvement] is by increasing income," Gates said. "The majority has been through vaccines. Vaccines will be the key. If you could register every birth on a cell phone -- get fingerprints, get a location -- then you could [set up] systems to make sure the immunizations happen." Gates suggested using cell phones to record each birth and send the information, including biometric identifiers, to a central database. This database would then send reminders to parents' phones when it was time to come in for vaccines or other treatments. He said a prime location to implement such programs would be northern Nigeria or northern India, where vaccination rates are less than 50 percent. Acknowledging that registering every single birth has never been done before, Gates called for "1,000 new ideas" to "blossom" in order to make it happen. Such ideas could conceivably involve using the GPS devices inside phones to physically track parents who do not bring their children in for vaccines. Gates also called for use of mobile technology to implement more continuous monitoring of vaccine supply chains.
  2. Spurs won't make the CL this season, I expect them to cut back a bit next season. We are much closer to them than the squad's reflect. If we get the 2/3 we need as quality and back up there won't be much between us, them and Liverpool (who are completey out of cash and I don't expect big money from the new owners). For if they had big money they wouldn't have bothered with Dalglish (stop gap). This might change in the summer, but I really don't think so, especially if they lose Torres and basically there is no replacement for Gerrard under 40/50m who is on his way down as is Lampard and Terry. Joe Cole is pretty much finished as Chelsea recognised and wasn't worth another 80k a week contract. Spurs have fucked up buying Pienaar, I really don't rate him at all.
  3. To move forward to the level we are at now (first season back) isn't that demanding as we can all see (to our collective surprise). The PL bar the top 5/6 is quite average with most sides able to beat each other on their day (think we all agree on that). Most sides get by with 3/4 quality players and the rest are generally fillers/cloggers/average players with high fitness. The real test for Ashley is the next level. Challenging for Europe every season and sustained top 6 finishes. Challenging for top 4 the minimum spend I estimate is around 50m.
  4. BBC hardly ever day anything anti-Israel without huge caveats. There is a doc 'The war you didn't see'...Happy Face has the details. Get it watched. 'Hope lies in the proles'. Orwell 1984 http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xg6ovh_th...tine_shortfilms Think it's on youtube now.
  5. Are you daft? all the above aside, with our small squad, our lack of quality as it is, without a guaranteed cemented replacement coming in, would you let a player who can start at times bugger off on loan? no, no you wouldn't, and if that's the way to "run a club" we are well and truly fucked if barton, caroll and enrique pick up injuries. This is why Ashley is a cunt, Pardew is a dogsbody, edit > i literally can't fathom how you can call yourself a newcastle fan, But for two late goals we would be 4 points off a champions league spot. but we DID concede 2 late goals. Make the most of this season, because he will not build on a decent first season up, and that will mean downwards again here we come. Yet he built on promotion with Ben Arfa and Tiote? What inside info do you have Leazes that says he wont continue this investment? and perch, and a few freebies.......you get what you pay for in this game CT. How many times does this need to be said, if buying proven quality players is not the way to get success, you better have a word with every successful club there has ever been. You are bound to find one or two successes, that goes without saying, but more of them fall by the wayside and eventually your good players sense that they are playing for a team going nowhere. He won't spend the money to make the club a force, but it depends on what your ambition is for the club and how good you think it should be what your views are on that. My mate said yesterday we have a decent first 11 and he is right, but most teams have a decent first 11, and most teams don't get to play their first 11 so having players injured and suspended is no excuse, you have to cater for this, its a squad game and you need 15 or 16 players. Yup.
  6. If you have no angle to shoot and there is 2 min left to play kick it as hard as you can at the keepers face. Job done.
  7. Don't hate him, he just isn't ready mentally. Miss from 4 yards last time he came on as well.
  8. Proper post match analysis going on here.
  9. The two words next to Lovenkrands are what cost us a vital goal here. if he'd continued, he was onside, tap in. Oh yeah totally. Missed the one on one as well. Just really angry can't take it two weeks running.
  10. Maybe Ranger couldn't see across. Perch was on mind.
  11. Spurs really are nothing much. We had this in the bag till the panick stations. Really frustrating.
  12. Whenver Ranger gets the ball I have a little bet that he is going to do the absolute worst thing possible.
  13. tbf he did more since coming on than shola did the entire game, he looks better than any striker we have asides from Carroll tbh He will never score. Ever.
  14. How frustrating the last two games have been, Both wins for me with Tiote in the side.
  15. Ranger always gets it wrong ha ha....Man just standing there for a tap tries to Maradonna it the berk.
  16. Gooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaooooooooooooooooooooooooo llllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllCoooooooooooooooolloooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
  17. Shame Carroll and Tiote aren't there. Would have won this. There isn't really much going on for them apart from knocking it to Lennon amd jogging into the box.
  18. Tight one. Could go either way. Spurs a lot of good posession but not in dangerous areas.
