  1. Aw I hope the damage isn't permanent Bianca? Hopefully its just an irritation. I know you can get ulcers in the eye from over use of contact lenses. Aye that's what she said and that I should stop with the lenses this week to avoid it happening. The damage is sort of at the top of the eye away from where the lenses go but apparently the lack of oxygen is caused by overwearing them. Something like that I dunno. I'm sure it'll be fine though. It wasn't until she lifted my eyelid that I even felt that it was a bit sensitive. Corneal neovascularisation? Blood vessels from the limbus (where the 'white part' meets the 'coloured part') start to grow into the cornea which has been starved of oxygen by over use of lenses. If it's a Corneal ulcer that'll be be painful and can turn nasty. You don't swim in your lenses do you? I honestly don't know. I saw her type something about infiltrates and epith (?) or something like that. I don't wear lenses to swim though, no. It's weird though cos where the damage is is really away from the 'coloured part' of the eye, and is up sort of at the top of the eye - she spotted it when she was getting me to do the "look down" part of the examination where she was lifting the eyelid and I was looking right down. Hope it clears up, the eyes are a tricky area if things go wrong.
  2. It's the confined space and the fact you can hear all the nonsense that people just spout cause they're bored/stupid/vegetative. Have been known to change carriages twice so I can get a bit of peace. Although sometimes like on the way back from Verona having spotted a gold bedecked over tanned lady in her later years looking a bit lonesome in the dinning car I will start a convo and ended up buying her a couple of glasses of wine. The journey skipped by as she regaled me and Mrs P about her time in Argentina and Uruguay (she's from Bavaria).
  3. Didn't play much last year so didn't qualify in my superleague. Needs updating anyway. This fella has shot up the charts playing well for Napoli In Napoli’s thrilling, come-from-behind 4-3 victory over Lazio on Sunday, Cavani’s hat-trick vaulted him into the club’s record books. With his 25th league goal of the season (32 in all competitions), Cavani broke a 70+ year old record held by club legend Antonio Vojak. To put Cavani’s goal scoring record in perspective, the most goals Diego Maradona ever scored for Napoli in a season was 21 in all competitions.
  4. It don't work like that, I have to be in the mood....
  5. I'm not sure about at any level, but definitely between 4'6" and 5'2". Pocket battleship and no mistake.
  6. Defoe is still one of the most dangerous strikers in the game at any level.
  7. He always lumbers round to the back post bless him.
  8. On a sidenote many of those youngsters killed were part of Norwegian boycott Israel group. "Two days before the Utoya Island massacre, AUF’s (Labour Party’s youth movement) leader Eskil Pedersen gave an interview to the Dagbladet, Norway’s second largest tabloid newspaper, in which he unveiled what he thinks of Israel. In the course of the interview, Pedersen stated that he “believes the time has come for more drastic measures against Israel, and (that he) wants the Foreign Minister to impose an economic boycott against the country.” Pederson went on to say, “The peace process goes nowhere, and though the whole world expect Israel to comply, they do not. We in Labour Youth will have a unilateral economic embargo of Israel from the Norwegian side.” The AUF Labour Party Youth Movement have been devoted promoters of the Israel Boycott campaign, The Dagbladet newspaper reporting that “The AUF has long been a supporter of an international boycott of Israel, but the decision at the last congress, demands that Norway imposes a unilateral economic embargo on the country and it must be stricter than before.”
  9. £75m for Carroll,Downing and Henderson. Steep. Never mind steep they're all crap.
  10. But where is he realistically expecting to go the twit? Only arsenal would be a real step up. Liv, Spurs and Everton will all be fighting for 5-7. And us 7-10. If Spurs lose a couple of key players in the window and they still might it is going to be a much tougher year for them. Nobody in Spain or Italy will better his wages outside the top 2/3 and they don't need him.
  11. It's only cause the current high value market dictates it and the fact that legislation and contracts are all in playerd favour these days leaving clubs getting nervous in the last 18-20 months of any decent players contract. They don't actually 'need' it. Some very good players at Everton and Villa are on modest money IMO.
  12. So why did he say he wanted to end his career with us when we were in the Championship? Does he think Championship teams are just one season away from breaking the top 6 in the Premiership? Does anyone with more than 3 brain cells actually think this? Left backs are historically self loving - problematic - frustrated they ain't left wingers - delusionary gimps. You two buying in to fact it's all down to Enrique? Have a quiet word if you are. ja ja ja...
  13. Didn't realise Man U, Barca and Inter were in for him.
  14. I put the two horns on the big box thing sticking up in the air and all is fine now.

  16. They want 10m for a 30yr old... I really hate watching him play so won't happen.
  17. The game as it is nowadays is a joke. Players more or less do what they like...Cloughie will be turning in his grave. Back in the day Ricky would have been kicked to the curb and playing for the reserves for 3 months.
  18. As always its hard to tell what the true motivations are.
  19. 40-50k, not much difference really. The fact is that at 19 when he signed it was a huge contract for a player of his age and experiance. Theres only 2 clubs in Spain that pay that sort of money. That and his twitter outburst may tell us what truly motivates him. I dont really have a problem with that but its the effect all this has had on the rest of the squad. He plainly thought he wouldnt be with the squad in the US and has let us all know how unhappy he is about the situation. I wonder if he wouldve stopped Liverpool getting twatted 3 nowt at Hull over the weekend? :-D Have to agree he was on good money when he first signed... I'm rather tiring of his love affair with twittah...Turning into quite the sparrow...
  20. Thought Arsenal had youngin left backs in the pipeline...Gibbs and so on!! Wenger produces them out of a hat...
  21. Egotistical mug he is. I really believe Man City should be nearer to Chelsea and Man Utd than they are already. Awful tactics too, was painful watching a £600m team struggle against Greeks and Poles last season and to be fair in two games against us they were very fucking lucky, we deserved at least a draw in both games imo. True. 3 holding midfielders in 5 man midfield is a joke. In the end and out of desperation Yaya morphed himself into an AM!!

    Obama

This was quite funny in the comments: Does that include all the rich Democrats? Like in the North East, and California? All the Hollywood numbskulls? Whats their role in this "evil class war"? I don't see any of them doing anything. Are they off the hook just because they all came out in droves for Obama in 08? Or just because they made a couple of vague movies vaguely expressing sympathy for poor people or something?
