  1. I've heard it's cold and white, the people look like Finns but even more boring than them. See Kassu on Newcastle Online. Might as well go to St Petersburg if ye ganna gan there. Ybf Helsinki nightlife is top. Fresh snow queens everywhere.
  2. Erdoğan plans Gaza visit As part of Turkey’s more aggressive strategy against Israel, sources told the Daily News that Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is planning to visit Hamas-controlled Gaza in the coming weeks, an intention he voiced in late July. “Our prime minister has already instructed the Foreign Ministry to set a date for the visit. We are looking for the best timing for the visit,” a diplomatic source said. “Our primary purpose is to draw the world’s attention to what is going on in Gaza and to push the international community to end the unfair embargo imposed by Israel.”
  3. The timing of the first official press conference after the transfer window shut tells a different story. Conspirator or sap, disappearing off the radar for a week and hoping everyone forgets he fed the supporters a load of bullshit again isn’t on. I dont think he's backed away from confronting anything to date. Certainly the way it comes across and the way he's described by Caulkin, Bird and co. Im sure at the next scheduled presser he will rightly say he is disappointed, frustrated etc or words along those lines. Not much else he can say. He's already said he wanted one and we needed one. He's also said he just helps make up the short list and after that its out of his hands. Some seem to be implying he knew that we wouldnt get a striker in this window and just played along. I dont buy that. Can't have it both ways mate. He's either kitten like in his naivety or is reading between the lines. Which is it? Not quite sue what you are getting at. I think he was probably told on appointment he can help draw up possible transfer targets but other than that has no input. (As he himself as said). I dont think anything he has said or done contradicts that. What do you think he thinks the backstory is to recent events?
  4. Might get outta hand... Would be tricky for NATO to take sides an all....

  6. They were only after a striker if it was some kind of scam or steal at the price or the contract was under 6 months and signing on fee was required only. I really don't believe for a moment they got into serious chat with any top tier strikers who might have cost 8-10m + In the article they say that Pardew met Gerviho...Where was that in the cafe next to the Emirates?
  7. I pay just by being on here mothafuka!
  8. Print yer own you dopey fuckers. 1p per bag or summink.
  9. Why would you think that, McFool? Sniffs has gone military grade diss.
  10. As I posted somewhere Man U wanted Bafra in 2008 but couldn't agree a price.
  11. The basis of the strategy is sound but in practice it hasn't worked. I don't think there would be too many complaints if he'd banked most of the 35m but made a modest investment of say 10m on transfer fees. All he really had to do was sign a couple of loan players for where we're short if he couldn't agree transfer fees to fit into his budget. We're really not asking for a lot. Just something. Spot on.
  12. At the end of the day if he keeps banging them in, everything else will be overlooked.
  13. The key to all this is to have a good manager in place who is tactically sound and knowledgable. That is basically where it all starts. The good managers tend to have a wide knowledge base and an informal scouting network of their own built over the years with contacts across Europe. They also tend to get that extra magic ten percent out of players performance wise and set up teams to the best of their assets. A guy like this left to his own devices can really build a club from the inside. They also have the ability to close the gap on the bigger spenders and players want to play for them. A good manager is where it all starts. But alas they come with a price tag and tend to want to do things their own way, which won't happen under the current regime.
  14. Pure filth that mind of yours!!
  15. It's extremely difficult to make football clubs profitable. The REAL issue around the health of football is the astronomical rise in player wages over the last decade. This has basically eaten up more or less most of the larger TV money. Spurs managed to keep wages in check (around 60%) at a time when we were hovering around (90%). At this point there is no alternative but to address this issue head on. BUT not replacing a front line striker is idiocy of the highest calibre regardless of side arguments as to why.
  16. Rise of the Planet of the Apes. 6.2 Could have been a great movie but too much ape.
  17. Quick to write off Ba. Not at all. He's not a striker he likes to play off a front man imfkiud.
  18. Love they way they totally ignored all the psych reports that he was unstable and deeply unhappy. "Here have a bigger gun"...
  19. It's mind boggling that we go into this season without a PL quality striker. My mind is boggled.
