  1. Think Ba's movement is ok because Pardew has drummed into him when we play two up he has to come deep and help out/be available for the ball or we're back to hoofing it up to the big lads. Marv and Bafra were full of intelligent movement when they came on cause it comes natural to how they learnt to play the game, they were always available and in intelligent positions ie the goal. Think Stoke away will be the first bridge too far as they are very strong at home. I expect us to lose that one, or at best steal a 0-0 or 1-1. What about playing Santon RM? He can cover Wilson and he has good movement, decent pace and can cross?
  2. Already forgotten who Dalglish spent 100m on.
  3. Lovely chest down and cushion pass from marveux and a no fuss no backlift finish from Cabaye. Marveuxlous.
  4. I started a thread on it Ming. I'd already stated he was shit by then, and you still had to ask 'is he crap?'. You must have lost conviction after Avram gone. Great 3 points anyway, we just had too many players with that extra bit of quality: Cabaye, HBA, Marveaux Please find the kindness within you to forgive my proclivities in this matter.
  5. I was gonna say Marveux did more with ball usage and postional sense in 10 mins than alien breed did all match.
  6. He's looking shitter by the game which is much harder to achieve,
  7. Pretty poor performance but an excellent result. We didn't look a footballing side till the subs came on and then it all felt a bit smoother. OBERTAN HAS TO BE FUKIN DROPPED ALAN YOU MONG!!!
  8. That's pie in the sky and you know it. Most of them are either flagrant careerists or in the pocket of big business and various 'comittees'. This is why the banned protesting outside parliament a few years ago. At least they're taking action, what alternative do you propose? I know you agree with the stance, if not the method. We both agree broadly on most politics so it ain't about that. It's not about protesting either which is always good in any circumstance. People engaging with the monolith creates a feedback loop and develops their understanding of power in all it's guises and how it affects their lives - their ideals. The state (across most of Europe) has gone too far and aligned itself with the money men primarily through fear that they might lose priveledges/the people might glimpse behind the curtain and so on...For me the curtain has a gap now which the state is trying to close but can't people have seen through the negligence and greed by way of the various money crisis and visionless rolling from side to side of a beleagured late Capitalism. I think the demo's will increase, I think there are major problems coming for Europe as a whole as the German money chain is now at breaking point reg bailouts and so on...Once the German banks and Govt confidence is breached all hell will break lose cause there really is no other country that can bridge the financial cravass. IMO the real pain that society at large will feel hasn't even started, because the relationship between good governance/legistlation/de-regulation and the fifty or so multinationals is broken. States are frantically looking around for a 'new deal' cause the wolves are in the chicken coup and they don't really like to leave once they are in...It really started in the 80's... People will have to do it. Govt as we know it is finished as a body that might manage expectations and keep 'big money' in check. The people will have no choice but increase pressure, it isn't even really a conscious descision...You wake up one morning and find the world that you beiieved in was fake. P
  9. They want their fuking money back.

  11. Can I be in team cautiously optimistic please ?, I've been bitten by these black and white bastards way to many times to be ever 100% positive. We are cursed tbh. The parallel's with my Green Bay Packers are uncanny (on and off the field) and I am having ill-judged bouts of stupid optimism on occassion, but remaining cautiously optimistic is my aim. Team not suicidal is more appropriate. I think we've been moving in the right direction since we got relegated, the three events that seemed disastrous (Pardew, Carroll, no new no.9) turned out fine so the underlying direction still holds. I do have to say that travelling in a direction is fine until you get to your destination, the key to this debate is whether we get off at 'mid-table' 'aiming for 7th' or can/will/want to go any higher. This is still up for debate and its far more nuanced than a daft postive/negative axis. I just get the feeling it winds up alex and HF so i keep bringing it up It seems that all sides outside the top 3 bloated with cash (ManU, Chelsea, ManC) are beatable/drawable. Liv are still finding their feet, we've played Spurs and Arsenal aren't the force they were a couple of seasons ago.
  12. Vapping away on a strawberry e ciggie.
  13. It's pretty clear Equipe has jumped the gun on the Maiga story.
  14. He should have given the website address for tickets too. Agreed though. Convinced a New Zealander at work to take his son who he's got visiting for the weekend. Done my bit. Told them it was like rugby but with a different ball right?
  15. I pitched him an idea once. Patience of a saint that man. He's a lot taller than I was expecting. He should stop wearing jeans. Looked a bit like he was here to buy tea for Twinings. Or perhaps fruit for Del Monte..
  16. Nope, just killing time until my cable rods come so I can hang the telly in my bedroom. Very working class.

  18. Whey a canny few years ago. That River Phoenix. That was aboot 20 years ago wasn't it? They're trying to put his last film together using cgi or summink...He did about five scenes..
  19. As ever, you come up with selective facetious shite. On my first page, I have a post regarding the Pardew interview, which I recomended to everyone to listen to. Noticeably no-one on this forum appeared to. There hasn't been a game since Spurs, my posts (recent) have been on topics that have been being discussed, simple as, you're getting as bad as LM for making shite up. You gonna bark all night little doggie or you gonna bite?
