  1. Quote from: Elliottman on Yesterday at 06:07:15 PM Two ways this thread can go - 1. Oak Tree and Baggio are proved right, Ben Arfa fails, chins Pardew, gets sold to The Scum for £40 worth of Casino Chips. Oak Tree and Baggio reign supreme on N-O for the rest of time and we never question them again or 2. Ben Arfa gets some games under his belt over the course of the next 3 months, gets a bit sharper and becomes the good player we all know he is and want to be. We get to so a big group 'f*** YOU' to Oak Tree and his opinions in future are forever mocked. Don't forget the third way! You read my posts correctly and see I have never said he will fail. Having re-read these posts you realise that describing his Everton appearance as Average is not a crime akin to drowning kittens. Even tonight, John Anderson is making the same sort of comments about HBA on Total Sport. Perhaps the BBC should sack him? I repeat, I have not said He's s*** or hoped that he fails. I do hope he plays a blinder and scores a hat-trick in the next game. http://www.newcastle-online.org/nufcforum/index.php/topic,70504.22600.html There's an investigation going on frame by frame of his minutes against Everton... I've never seen anything like it.
  2. CT has gone to war with half of NO over Bafra.
  3. Beyond? - like outer space, quite the claim
  4. You've always been backwards. I tell you what you missed four weeks and you've still nearly caught me up. I'm absolutely shit. Time to predict with the head and not the heart, Liverpool and Tottenham would be bottom 3 if all my scores came right. I thought you were using your betting head.
  5. Yeah he's not falling over enough.
  6. Cause it's taught from Kindergarten. Not enough toys to go round.
  7. It's a normal reaction fella. Same for all of us from time to time.
  8. He's a cernt as well. Fuck him. Loved it when Kuyt told him off for not squaring it.
  9. Yeah but he tends to poke his head round the corner with contract offers from other clubs.
  10. Every year there is some fiasco or other about these poppies. Frankfurt school would be proud.
  11. He's pretty shit now. Will end up at Everton or Dundee.
  12. Oh, I did see that but the picture doesn't work and it doesn't mention the name of the show anywhere! Trendsetter btw http://www.toontasti...458#entry976458 Yeah but people normally wait for the Parky green light.
  13. There are two approaches to this. All their dangerous moments start when Yaya or Barry cross the half way line carrying the ball. Dzeko moves wide to drop the defenders and then cycles back in after the first interchange between Barry/Yaya and Kun/Silva. If Ballotelli plays it is a little easier cause his movement is poor. You either sit deep and and track the runs of Kun/Silva taking the risk of not losing them/tackling from the wrong side (it's always diagonal/reverse runs). Or you press the ball higher up the park and go for Yaya/Barry before they release. Mourinho would sit deep as would Rafa and allot players to pick up the diagonal runs of Silva and so on.... IF you press higher up the park you get two chances of reversing posession rather than one but it means playing one forward only as the 3rd mf is solely here to harass the beginning of every move. Or just crock Silva early doors.
  14. QPR have shown that if you get the mind right and compete in key areas ManC can be stalled.
  15. He's lost that bit of sharpness he had in the first half a dozen games and his positioning seems off. There was that bit when Pards was telling Hba to wait five more mins....For what? The problem we have (and it's a good one) is that the two big lads upront thing has been working well with Ba intelligently rotating for deeper positions. It might be a good idea to let Hba in for the 3 'big games' and go a five man mf. Start with Ba and then let Best loose for the last 25min or visa versa. No Cabaye, Marveaux or Obertan for City so wonder if we will go 4-5-1. We could play 3 in the middle (Guthrie, Tiote, Jonas) and have Ben Arfa and Ba playing deep, whilst Best plays the lone striker. We'd probably get stuffed doing that at City but would be interesting to see. We HAVE TO play a 5 man MF against City as their whole side sit in the midfield (even Kun) bar the striker. We'll so outnumbered with a 442 we'll take a real mauling IF we try it. Think Pards will be too clever for that. Hba with license to join Ba when we have the ball in postive space. ..................Tiote................ Santon...Guthrie..Hba....Guti.. ..................Ba......................

Both ManC and Chelsea play through the middle. (Mancini so far has been bringing on a real winger late in the game). If we can crowd and harass Silva that is half the battle won. Tiote to trade with Yaya. I don't think we'll get the mauling people are expecting if we have our full strength mf out and we are as disciplined as we have been so far. With ManU our 442 won't be so much of an issue as they tend to go wide at pace.
  17. Liv will struggle IMO unless they spend more money in Jan. Their mid is a shambles and Gerrard is finished.
